I want to reorganize my fonts; some I've received from my school to work on projects; others I got from work and some I've downloaded myself. If I restore standard fonts in font book, will it delete the fonts that were installed with my Adobe Creative Suite 5 program?

I'm having trouble with My adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard programs opening. They will bounce to open but won't open up and eventually I will need to force quit as they aren't responding. I'm thinking it may be a font issue but need some support ASAP!
Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like the crash logs.

Just did a restore for a new 4S. I want to do a new iCloud account and discard the one that came with the restore. Any suggestions?

Settings > iCloud, scroll down and delete the account, sign back in by choosing the option to create a new Apple ID. -
The Software that came with my book does not work. CISCO CCENT / CCNA ICND1 by wendell odom
Hello this is my first post on cisco support and hope I can get some help. I recently purchased the book CISCO CCENT / CCNA ICND1 by wendell odom and when I used the CD to install the Pearson Practice exams, it does not work. I tried everything! It even asks for a activation code, which on the CD It says "Refer to the Activation Code Included in the DVD Sleeve when Registering Pearson IT Certification Practice Test Software"I don't see anything related to a Activation Code anywhere on the CD OR on the sleeve! So now I can't use that.
The Network simulator Wendell odom uses in his videos is already outdated it seems and I can't get mine to work. Why? Because I bought this book in hopes of this being a beginner book and praying the person won't skip information to actually set up the book. So now the videos are useless because I can't connect because I have no idea how...
The Network Simulator lite, wow 3/3 When giving me software to use. The Prompt command does not work, Only the enter key will work but when I try to put in a password I can't hit anything else but enter.
I hope I can get help from a more official member as to seeing how I bought this book and I can read but whats really the point if I don't have the hands on training?Keunepete,
When I ordered my books for the ICND1 and ICND2, they came with a CD in the back pocket (sleeve) of the book. Along with the CD was a thick piece of paper that had the activation code on it. It was a white, square piece of paper with big black print on it. Did you buy your book used? Was the CD sealed in the back pocket?

Restoring a MacBook Air without the DVDs that came with
A friend of mine needs to format his MBA but he lost the DVDs found in the original laptop package, which contained Leopard. Later on he purchased Snow Leopard and Lion: is there any possibility to start up by using the SL install DVD? Or should he ask Apple a copy of the original disks?
He can use the SL install DVD or use Lion's recovery. Either will work fine.

That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
With 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6 put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
Or if you are running 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion or 10.9 Mavericks, boot from the recovery partition (Command +R on boot) and use Disk Utility to repair your OS 10.7, 10.8 or 10.9 partition.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead. -

Hello, I have a problem with my Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard (the licence is for 2 computers). One of my computers broke (hard drive & motherboard) and I can not access it anymore. How can I reset the activations or unistall it from the non-working computer?

I am having font issues with font book. It validates the font, yet it is not availabe in my software programs (Adobe or Microsoft). What can I do to use these fonts?
I actually created these fonts with fontagrapher in 1998 and have been using them regularly ever since and now they are not available in InDesign. I really need to use them.I found a page on Adobe, Troubleshoot fonts | Mac OS X
On PostScript type 1 fonts you need to copy/move the fonts to the correct font folder because Font Book doesn't copy them into the folder. Select the fonts double-click the fonts and Find in the font Book app and validate.
The correct font folder depends how you are set up. I am by myself so my font folder was MyHarddrive/Library/Fonts. I was using Suitcas fusion and the fonts are located in a different folder.

When trying to upload a PDF to an interactive site I get the announcement: "The attached PDF file references a non-embedded font Tahoma. Please remove file, embed the font and reattach."
I could not get rid of the Tahoma font in the WORD file.
How do I embed this, or in fact any other font ?Thank you very much !
Indeed, I was unaware of the enormous number of options that can be selected when converting a WORD file to PDF.
I went thru the settings and found the right one for embedding the fonts.

Why is the number "1" when setting up the dial fat thickness did not change the font? Is it possible to adjust the font in the thick klavioture typing?

Yep - I was only looking at Text Size.
But still, not sure what the deal is. The "1" is just as readable as any other number on the keyboard regardless. -
I purchased PhotoshopCS5 Sept 2010 and still use the same MAC. I invertly deleted the font section but everything else works. How can I fixed this because I use fonts all the time? I don't want to purchase another one since this cost me $699:(
