They won't replace the lens. If they determine it is a manufacturing defect, you'll get a replacement phone.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

IPhone 4 water damage - Replacement (how long will it take?)
If i just completely broke my iphone 4 (won't even turn on) due to water damage I understand that I can get a $199 refurbished replacement.
I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it would take to get the replacement phone. For example, if I went into the store gave them my old phone, would I be leaving with the replacement phone that day or would they have to send it to me in the mail?

I did a transfer of purchases onto the comPuter I have that I want to use. So now everything I purchased is on the new computer. The only thing I am curious about is once I update it and put all my purchases back on and restore it when I get my laptop back and sync it can I re download the iTunes library on my laptop? I am not worries about my music library not being there for a week or two. As long as I have what I purchased.

I am taking mine in tomorrow. How do they decide if your battery is bad enough to get the iPod/battery replaced? What do they do with your iPod? Do they mess with the apps and data?? Do they search your history to see what you've done on it? HELP!

You need to take your phone to an Apple Store in the US. You can purchase an Out of Warranty replacement if the phone is damaged. Cost is $269+ tax.
You cannot upgrade to a 5S at an Apple store; at best, you can turn in your current phone to get a gift card towards the purchase of another.

Ok, the whole story in a nut shell.
My computer was lagging pretty badly and so I turned it off and on again, obviously. But when I turned it back on, I couldn't get to the login screen, the computer would just freeze at the white loading screen with the Apple logo and the loading spinner.
After that, I left it for a couple hours thinking that it might resolve, when it didn't I forced reboot and booted of the OS X instillation disk, following advice of the internet about running diagnostics.
I opened Disk Utility to see what was going on and I then attempted to run repairs on the hard drive, this failed and froze up. So I rebooted. Next time I open up Disk Utility it highlights the internal hard drive in red and says that the S.M.A.R.T. status is failing. I've seen a couple other people with this problem and I was wondering if this is a reoccurring problem with iMacs or a one of thing, either way, what should I do, take it into the Apple store?

If the machine matches your profile, Mac OS X (10.7.4), iMac 27', 2012 model, refurbished, then it should be covered under the first year of use. Contact Apple's Express Lane and verify. If it is, then after getting it fixed, purchase AppleCare—the cheapest insurance policy available for Macs. -
