If I type a URL in an e-mail, why can't the recipient click on it and go straight to the website in question?
It works fine in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome but in Firefox they have to cut and paste the link into their browser...
I have encountered the same problem with newest Firefox 6. Used to be able to just right click and get a hyperlink for url to paste into e mails. Firefox used to work great, now with the constant upgrades, all the add ons and even basic features are becoming more problematic. wish they would just concentrate on supporting one version to the best of their abilities and quit requiring so many updates that don't work as well. Many friends are migrating to Chrome....I am trying to stay with firefox because it was so good for so many years, but now it seems like constant problems.
Hope they get it worked out soon or I might have to follow the flock in migration.

Thanks for replying again. I've got a little bit further thanks to you. I tried the US keyboard layout as you seemed pretty definte that it should work. This time I applied the setting and also started the language toolbar and selected it from there.
Hey presto, I've got the @ where it should be. Excellent.
However the single quote ' works in a weird way. When I press it, it doesn't show up on the screen. But when I press another key, I get the single quote plus the next key I press. When I press the single quote twice, I get 2 of them. This is also the same with the SHIFT ' key. i.e. for the double quotes.
Very strange. I'll look at other keyboards and see where that gets me.

Use Mitsubishi's MX Component. This utilises activex and I have successfully managed to develope VI's to both read and write to the PLC for control and datalogging. MX Component currently retails at 299 GBP and I do not know of any other protocol on the market that you can use(Mits have told me that they do not know of any either and were not even aware that MX Component could be used with LV until I proved it to them).You can use this by directly connecting to the PLC using one of many different communication protocols(serial, ethernet, profibus etc.)
I am not sure how this will tie in with your SCADA package, are you using this as your front end because by using LV and MX Component you could do away with any bespoke SCADA and easily develope your own. I am curren
tly working on a VI that reads data from the PLC (FXon-24MR)in real time, displays it on a graph and logs it to a MySQL database complete with report production.

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. The new Apple Support Communities made things worse by introducing certain inefficiencies. Then came Lion. The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest. People who needed help with Lion problems seemed to have trouble discovering existing message threads that described how to solve their problems. The people helping here are all volunteers. None of them is being paid for the time they spend here. They all have a life outside of Apple Support Communities. It's arrogant of you to demand that people helping here spend more time than they already do. -
When typing in a URL in an outgoing e-mail how do you make it clickable for the recipient
When I send an e-mail to a friend and I use Internet Explorer I can include a URL in the body of the message that turns blue and is clickable by the recipient.ie:he easily reaches the website.
In using Firefox I can type the same URL in,it doesn't change
color and the recipient has to enter it in some other fashion in order to reach the website.It sounds like the album metadata is incorrect, or differs from song to song in iTunes. Albums with various artists will play properly assuming all the songs are tagged with the same identical album name, as well as the track number. For the Halo 2 Soundtrack, metadata should look like this:
Song: <Song Title>
Artist: <Song Artist>
Album: Halo 2, Vol. 1 (Original Soundtrack)
Genre: Soundtrack
I had a similar problem with my imported Cowboy Bebop albums and the mixture of artists/album names. Once I adjusted the metadata, all of them play in the correct order just by selecting the Album from the available list or in Coverflow. -

Searching for a solution, I found a Logical Database for sales orders, that have all the information that you need.
Using like reference the post of Bhagavatula, in the same transaction SQVI you can use, instead of the suggested join, you can select a logical database called VAV in Data source.
This logical database links the tables, VBAK, VBAP, VBUK and KONV that is the central point of the question.
You can list the information of logical database using the transaction SLDB.
In 'Logical Database' inform VAV.
Press F8 to list all the fields.

If not, then it would look to be a fault with the keyboard. try cleaning the keyboard first with some compressed air. if that don't work then it would require another keyboard. -
Why do I get error -17500 when calling a batch file using the call executable step type?
I am calling a batch file using the call executable step type. If the path to the batch file contains a space I get error -17500 and a message stating there was an error in "Post". For example the path to the batch file is "c:\TestWin\Test Files\...\Program.bat" When I run this I get the above mentioned error, however if I change my directory structure so the path is now "c:\TestWin\TestFiles\...\Program.bat" it runs fine. I use the browse feature to find my batch file so it is not me typing in a path incorrectly. I have removed the batch file and I get a different error stating that it couldn't find the file so it appears that for my error it can find the file but can't run it. I am
sure that this has something to do with the fact that batch files are written in DOS but really don't want to resort to changing my directory structure on all my test stations. Is there any way to fix this problem so I can leave a space in my path?It appears I have figured it out. This was on another computer so I was unaware of how they used their computer. I like you got it to work in the temp directory and in fact got the program.bat file to work as long as I put it under the temp directory, but when I switched out to my TestWin directory it wouldn't work, so I removed everything from the directory except the batch file it self and it work. What I found out after adding files in one at a time is that the person had a file called "Test" with no file extension in there "c:\TestWin\" directory. Removing this file made it work. Putting the file back broke it. So it appeares that when teststand was running it followed the path saw a space and attempted to grab the "Test" file instead of bro
wsing into the "Test Files" directory. If you create a file in your temp directory called "temp" with no file extension you will see the same problem. Thank you for your help. -
How to type a URL if Google search bar removed for privacy
Because it appears that in Safari it is impossible to remove the Google Search Bar that's off to the right at the top without also removing the now connected URL Location bar to its left, I removed both. I had noticed that when I did this in Camino, I could still go to a web page by clicking Command L for Open Location (found in the File dropdown menu of most browsers).
But in Safari just now, when I remove the Google search bar that Apple has hard coded to be inseparable from the Location bar to its left, I find I cannot use the File / Open Location command (which I mentioned is Command key - L) and therefore -- is my browser useless if I do not want to document my travels on the world wide web with Google's databases by having the Search Bar up?
In other words is it not possible to enter a URL into Safari in a blank and open the URL Location if you remove the Google Search Bar?
Is the only way to get to a webpage after removing that item to use one's old bookmarks to get to a page?
Or is this a bug and is my "Command key - L" (Open Location command) supposed to be working? I also started to test this with Firefox but it appears my Firefox browser does not have this problem so my Open Location bar remains even if I remove a search bar and the removable search bar it does have is not tied to google in particular, I don't think, in Firefox even if I remove the search bar though I never use a search bar anyway because I don't care to go to any search engine unless I type their URL into my Location bar personally. That's just my preference because I don't trust having third party search bars forced into the browser design.
Is this really true as it appears that there's no way to open a Location in Safari without having the annoying Search Bar up? Is Open Location disabled without the Google Search bar?
If so, it looks like that, of my several browsers, the only one that won't allow me to Open Location (go to a webpage that I type into a Location bar) if I remove the Google Search bar is Safari. I am finding I can successfully extricate myself from Google search if I use Opera, Camino, and Firefox and select Remove after right clicking on the search bar.
Why would the industry be trying to force this Google data mining and surf habits info collection on people? Evidently because Apple would rather take the money from google for forcing google into our browser than protect its customers privacy? I hope this disease does not spread to the other browsers left for me to use. What a monopoly google is building. Too bad antitrust litigation is dead.
(If this is true, this is depressing to me because I had set Safari to be my primary browser. But it seems the least secure browser anyway (compared to using NoScript with Firefox) so I guess I'll have to avoid using it (except on those few pages that won't work without it) until Apple starts taking people's privacy a little more seriously instead of sneaking in more and more features that force us into an unholy logging relationship with Big Brother Google. And I'm disappointed in this development also because I used to like Google before I realized its lawyers were so dedicated to writing privacy policies that are as vague as possible and as unprotective of privacy as possible. I would like to use Google more if they would just stop taking 100 miles when a person gives an inch by using their search engine. Since I installed the 8.0 Firefox version earlier today I have been unable to get to new Web pages by typing in their URLs. If I click on a link in a tab which was open before the install ( and was called up by Restore Session after I installed the new version) - say in one of my email messages in the Hotmail tab or a tab with another Web page showing - all is well and I go to the new page. Same if I click on the Back arrow: I can go back and forward to pages which have already been opened in the prior session.
However, if I type a URL to a new site into the address/location bar, OR open a new tab and enter a URL there ... when I press the Enter key NOTHING AT ALL happens. Same thing if I click on the Go to new address arrow that appears at the right side of the location bar - nothing. This has happened over and over.
What is going on? If I use IE, everything works just fine, so it must be something in Firefox. Do I need to just go back the the previous version of Firefox which I had before this latest update? As it is now, I can't go to any pages I haven't looked at in my restored session, which is not only frustrating but makes Firefox pretty useless for future use. My default search engine is Google and I deleted Bing from the Search Providers. Facebook is set as my home page. Whenever I open a new tab, a Bing search box is displayed on the page and it takes the focus so when I am trying to type a URL in the new tab, it is entered in the damn bing search box.
