If i update 5.1.1 software on my phone, will my data erase?

Sounds like your only able to use Wifi on your device currently which indicates you have lost network connection with your cellular provider ....you can call them to troubleshoot this but one common issue in some countries is that if you are on a 3G only network this can become turned off after a software update...go to settings > cellular/mobile > and see if enable 3G or enable 4G/LTE is off or on try turning it on and then power off phone and on again and this will probably fix it, so you can make calls etc and use the internet away from the computer. As for the update always do an itunes backup first and they make sure you have long enough for this update to run through on wifi and then try it again. Good Luck

Try a Hard Reset,
press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

3GS software upgrade now phone will not restore
I just tried to upgrade my 3GS to the latest software version for iphone. Went through the process, got to the end, then it said I had to restore the phone. I have now done it THREE times with no luck. I have the picture of connect the USB cable to itunes. HELP!
If you backed them up the way you would with any digital camera you would have them in your photo app on your computer. They should also be in your iPhone backup on your computer as of the last sync you did, or in iCloud if you were backing up to iCloud.

I've had the same problem, synced yesterday and I've lost all my events in my calendar. Restored my phone,not worked, deleted icloud that hasnot worked,nothing is coming up at all on icloud calendar, and my mac was backed up when I plugged in today so not backed up on that. Someone please help, can I get them back? my life was on that calendar.

When i connect my iPhone to iTunes, it says i have to set up my iPhone, and wont allow me to sync any media i have already purchased on it. My phone is not new, so I dont understand? This all came about when i updated the iOS 6 software. I have tried to re-set up my phone but it makes no difference and deletes everything off my phone.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -
I bought new i phone 5 3 days back, after that asked for new update which is 6.1.4, after updating my iphone i am not able to use cellular data services. I called up data provider, they says its the problem with new software update. There is no option add APN. Now when i switch to safari its showing you are not subscribed for cellular data. But I am able to use data on other phone.
Will you please help me in this regard?
Another issue, since i bought my new iphone there is dust inside back main camera.

are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

My iTunes library will not completely sync to neither my iPad nor my iPhone -- both are completely updated with the latest software. What do I have to do??
