No idea if Windows will do it, but you can run Windows without Bootcamp & have OSX available at the same time, which should give you all the Monitors that OSX uses.

i try to pay for somthing on the apple mac storebut it says your payment has bean declined please check your billing information but it is right and has enough money so what is going on

Yep. I installed Lion this morning. Open Mail. All is good. Went to video on the Apple's homepage and my whole computer froze up. I couldn't even shut down the computer properly. I just had to shut it off and restart. :|
Although, no "missing plug in" prompts were coming up for me. Just a frozen (brand new) iMac.

Yes. Because iOS and Mac OS X are two entirely different operating systems.

  • How do I update iMovie from 08 to 11 without having to pay for 11 at the app store?

I have a pretty old Mac laptop, probably 1st or 2nd generation and I had to bring it to an Apple store for them to upgrade my operating system. Now my Mac version is 10.6.8 and I'm still using old programs on it like iPhoto 08 and iMovie 08. When I open up up iMovie, a message always comes up about iLife 11 which I would like to download as a whole so I can use the updated programs but I can not find the webpage where I can easily download iLife. All I really want is to upgrade iMoive from 08 to 11 but the only option I'm getting is to buy the app for about $15 from the app store. I already have iMovie and I shouldn't have to pay for the same app which just an updated version. Can someone show me step by step where to go and how to get the update for iMovie 11 or iLife 11 alltogether?

You have to pay because iLife is only free when you buy a new Mac.  Its not part of the operating system.
$15 is a bargain for what you get.

  • GarageBand already downloaded, Mac App Store asking me to pay for it again!

I have a 2008 model of the iMac. It started out on Snow Leopard and came with an iLife '09 disc which had GarageBand. It is now running OS X Yosemite and I have updated all of my iLife apps except for GarageBand. I wanted to update it from the Mac App Store, but the App Store asked me to pay for GarageBand again! Is this supposed to happen? Is there any way around this?

No, there is no way around that, sorry.
To upgrade from your  iLIfe '09 version of GarageBand to GarageBand 10.0 is a major upgrade - you can recognize a paid upgrade by the version number. If the first digits are different, it is a paid upgrade; only if only the digits behind the first decimal point change, it is a free update.
If you  upgrade, don't uninstall your current version. You may want to use your GarageBand '09 loops and instruments with the new version. It has a very different set of instrument and loops.

  • Can't unlock & pay for apps after the update to ios5.1

I'm using ipad2. After the update to ios5.1, when I tried to unlock & pay for the app, message "This is not a Test User account. Please create a new account in the Sandbox environment" appeared. What should I do?

    Any error messages?
    Do apps sync fine?
    Try the standard fixes:
    -Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod

  • I just got the mid 2011 macbook air and it does not have ilife or iPhoto on it...isnt it supposed to come with it? and if it does then how do i get it on the mac without having to pay for it in the app store?

I just got a macbook air and i thought that it was supposed to come with ilife already installed? But there is not ilife apps...how do i get  it on the laptop without having to buy them all from the app store if it was supposed to come with it?

    From the iPhoto Licence:
    3. Transfer.
    A. Apple Software obtained from the Mac App Store is not transferable. If you sell your Apple-branded hardware to a third party, you must remove the Apple Software from the Apple-branded hardware before doing so.
    B. For any preinstalled Apple Software, you may make a one-time permanent transfer of all of your license rights to the Apple Software (in its original form as provided by Apple) to another party, provided that: the Apple Software is transferred together with your Apple-branded hardware; (ii) the transfer must include all of the Apple Software, including all its component parts, printed materials and this License; (iii) you do not retain any copies of the Apple Software, full or partial, including copies stored on a computer or other storage device; (iv) you have not associated the Apple Software with your Mac App Store account as set forth in Section 2B; and (v) the party receiving the Apple Software reads and agrees to accept the terms and conditions of this License.
If the previous owner accepted the preinstalled software (iPhoto, etc) to the AppleID, it cannot be passed on to a new owner. Even if the previous owed would use her or his Applied to install it for you, you would never be able to reinstall it or to update it.
In that case buy your own copies of the software.

  • Did mavericks os update deletes old data? and boot camp 7win OS?

have sepereted my data in bootcamp os7 and mac os. if i updates mavericks, will i lost my partation and hole data?

No. An update only happens on the volume you select that has your OS X installation. Same with an upgrade.
Now, if you erase the drive or repartition the drive prior to updating/upgrading, then you could lose everything.
Always make a backup first, then you don't have to worry about losing anything. This is the best advice you will ever receive.

  • Can I add a ram of 1333mhz in my mac pro which had a stock of 1066mhz. Will the ram be compatible ???....because ,I was not able to find a 1066 MHz of ram in apple store. And it's for my mac pro which I bought recently a month ago

Can Anyone help me out for a good solution?

DDR3 is backward compatible, no one really buys theirs from Apple, you can do a lot better on price and warranty going elsewhere.

It's my friend's computer. He is currently running Firefox 3.0.5, and his Verizon email won't download.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop
    * Firefox 7.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded

Hello CS Community: I am about to renew my CS cloud subscription for one year. My current subscription is for one user for both Mac (and) PC. When I renew, how do I know I'm getting a subscription for both my MAC and my PC? It's not clear what is included in the purchase. I'm choosing the 49.00 a month package. Any insight would be much appreciated.

    Hi ShearLine,
The Creative Cloud subscription is not OS specific as it's licensed via your Adobe ID.
You can purchase a single subscription and use it on 2 machines irrespective of it being Windows or Mac.

  • Bridge 6.1.0.115 will not run on Mac OS 10.6.8. Unfortunately, I upgraded to the new version. How do I revert to the older version that works with Mac OS 10.6.8?

Is there a way to download the previous or older version of Bridge CC. The current version will not run on Mac OS 10.6.8. Thanks for any assistance.

The current version will not run on Mac OS 10.6.8. Thanks for any assistance.
The easiest way would be to update to at least 10.7.5 (supported on most older Macs) but maybe you have strong reasons not to do so, however it will put you in to more trouble in the future because newer applications have more often the habit of not being able to support older OS versions due to limitations of this old OS.
Here is the announcement of Adobe:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/moving-ahead-with-mac-os-x-10-7-and-higher/
However PS CC should still work on your system and otherwise CS6 should. As a cloud subscriber you still have access to both CC and CS6 on the Adobe CC download pages. But only PS is a major upgrade (changed to version 2014) and Bridge has just a minor update and should still work on 10.6.8 I would think?
Installing the updates and upgrades did not remove or uninstall the CC versions of PS, otherwise use CC application to install CC again.

  • If there ever was a NEW update for iMovie, will iMovie have the ability to burn projects onto a Blu-Ray disc so that customers don't have to pay for additional software like Final Cut Pro or Roxio Toast Titanium/Pro?

It would be helpful for those who are familier with iMovie to use Blu-Ray discs for burning and playing back their iMovie projects in HD. However, iMovie '11 doesn't have that special feature yet. I hear that 'Final Cut Pro X,' 'Roxio Toast 11 Titanium' and 'Roxio Toast 11 Pro' can copy projects like iMovie onto Blu-Ray, but it would take long periods of time to do that. Professional software, like FCP X and Toast, can be pricey.
I'm hoping that iMovie '11 will burn projects onto Blu-Ray, but will that ever come true?

Will iBlu-Ray be an upgrade? OR and update of iDVD?
If it's an upgrade, then that means you'd still pay for it from the Mac App Store. I wish it would only cost between $20-40.
If it's a free update of iDVD, but with the new name, that would be better than to go out and pay for things!!!
However, external Blu-ray recorders would still be required if you were going to burn an iMovie project onto a blu-ray disc.
Is there a way to put in a request for 'iBlu-Ray?'
