If I use a converted-iPhone-charger (USA to UK), will it charge slower?

If I use a converted-iPhone-charger (USA to UK), will it charge slower?
One of my mates in UK is using a converter and his iPhone 3 is charging slower, and we don't know what seems to be the problem.
Thanks in advance.

The Apple supplied chargers are universal chargers, can be used anywhere. Just use an adapter to plug them in, but do not use a converter. If other iPhones on this set-up charge normally, then most likely, the battery is showing signs of age.

If officially unlocked, you can purchase a sim from one of the two nationwide GSM carriers, AT&T or T-Mobile. However, AFAIK, none of the carriers in India offer unlocking for the iPhone. Thus, if your phone is carrier locked, the only way it will work in the US is roaming...that would cost a fortune.
So, if you have a carrier locked iPhone, leave it home or sell it before you come to the US, then purchase an officially unlocked iPhone, from Apple, when you get to the US. You'll be able to use that phone in India when you go back.

  • Using unlocked Aus iPhone with USA sim card?

I'm moving to USA from Australia, if i unlock my iPhone can i use it normally with a USA sim such as Verizon or AT&T?

If it is officially unlocked you will certainly be able to use it with AT&T, but not with Version as they do not even use sims.  Yours is a GSM handset and Verison use a different version.

  • In Argentina, South America do I need to use a converter to charge my iPad, or just the adaptor plug.

Do I need to use a converter to recharge my iPad battery while I am in Argentina, South America?

Just the adapter. The power brick is rated for world wide voltage

  • Traveling out of the country, can I use a converter to charge

We will be traveling throught Europe and I want to be sure that I can charge our family's 2 iPod touch devices using a regular travel converter.  I know you cannot use a standard converter for a laptop but what about our iPods

You can use the standard charger for 110/220V 50/60Hz.  You do not need a converter, only an adapter to convert from the US flat prong plug to the plug shapes of the country you are in.  They are only a dollar or two each.

  • Use 02 uk iphone in USA

i am going to being to the usa to vist my dad and i have an 02 activated 3g iphone will i be able to po an at&t sim card in my iphone and use local rates whilst in the us.

I tried to do this. I have a UK O2 iPhone and an AT&T account in the US. I went to an Apple store in New York and we tried to switch the SIM cards. The iPhone didn't work with the AT&T card. I then went to an AT&T store. They said the phone needed to be unlocked for this to work, and they don't unlock phones. I haven't tried to get it unlocked.
Before I left the UK, I bought a 50 MB pack to use for my month long travel. I've checked my usage regularly to make sure I'm not racking up a big bill otherwise. It was worth doing.

  • Hello anyone know how to use the locked iphone outside USA

hello anyone know how to use the locked AT&T iphone 5 outside US. I'll go to Japan. Don't know if the phone can be used there.any idea will be appreciated.

You'll need to get it unlocked by ATandT to avoid paying huge roaming costs.

Will the apple world travel adapter kit work with my USA iPad in South Africa?

No. It does not have the correct plug adapter for SA.
The kit is far more than you need anyway.
The charger you received with the iPad will work world-wide (110-240 VAC). All you need is a plug adapter.
You can pick one up at just about any electrical/electronics/appliance/general merchandise stores (meaning everywhere) and airports when you get there, for about $3-$6.

  • Is it possible to use an unlocked iphone from USA in Norway?

I want to buy a unlocked from from the america to use in america and in norway, is that possible without having any problems?

yes it's possible.  Just be sure to buy an factory unlocked (which is NOT the same a non-contract) phone.  It should come with NO sim.
Just remember, however, any repair needs to be done in the country of purchase.

  • IPhone Charger & Battery Life

My charger for my iPhone recently started to come apart at the end near the actual adaptor. I tried to tape it, but it's at such a weird angle, the tape doesn't stay. So, I went to the AT&T store and bought a Belkin charger, and have been using it for the last week. I've noticed that my phone isn't a holding a charge very well and am wondering if that could be because I'm not using an actual iPhone charger, even though it's apple certified.
Also, should the iPhone battery be calibrated, and if so, how?

Apple has a exchange program for their charging adapters that come apart at the prong end. You should see if your situation applies. Go to http://www.apple.com/support/usbadapter/exchangeprogram/
Yes, calibrate at least once a month as described already and yes you can leave your phone on while recharging, preferably charging via the wall, not your pc. While you can use your phone while charging, I do not when doing a full charge during calibration.

  • If you are traveling in Europe, do you need both an adapter AND a voltage regulator to charge the IPad2 and the iphone? Or, the reverse, will it hurt either if I use both the adapter AND the voltage convertor?

You may only need adapters for the different kind of sockets, depending of the country you want to travel. A voltage converter is not needed.
The Apple power units are multi voltage devices, supporting a range from 110 V to 240 V. as you can see on the labels. O.K. for most of the labels you need a magnifier, but its on them.
    Have a pleasnt journey

  • Can I charge my UK iPhone in USA with USA iPhone USB adaptor?

I'm going to the USA for a holiday and I want to know can I charge my UK iPhone 4S with a USA iPhone USB adaptor? I don't want to take my UK iPhone USB adaptor. So can I use the USA iPhone adaptor?

Why would it? ALL iPhones charge using industry standard USB power of 5 volts DC. All iPhone chargers output 5 volts DC.

  • Charging my Italian Iphone in USA

    Hello.
Does somebody know if I can charge the battery of my Iphone in USA using the italian regular and official battery charger (of course with a plug adapter)?
I mean: could it be recharged either with 110v or 220v as well?
    Thanks

Yes - the charger that comes with the phone (ultracompact USB power adapter) runs on 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz, so it works pretty much anywhere in the world if you have the proper plug adapter so the prongs fit the local outlet.

  • Does travel to Austraila require a converter to charge iphone 3GS

I am traveling to Australia, from the US, in a few weeks and was wondering if I needed to purchase a power converter to charge my iPhone 3GS or if I would be able to just use an adapter for that country?

The USB charger is universal, 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz. All you need is a plug adapter.
You can read it on the charger if you have a magnifying glass.

It sounds like your phone is in recovery mode, which means it needs to be restored through iTunes on your computer in order to get out of it.
