If I use Quick Time 7.7.1 for Windows I have not problem, instead with Quick Tome 7.7.4 I can't see some plug-in the a web site
I use Windows XP SP 3 and when I open the web site www.volleybareggio.it, in the page La Società/La Storia there is a plug-in to reproduce and manage a sound that needs QuickTime but after the update to 7.7.4 I can't see it, while with the SW version 7.7.1 I hadn't non problem.

Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1

I have Windows XP installed on my IMac but can't seem to find it except under VMware and then it has this error message: There is no application set to open the document “Windows XP Professional-s001.vmdk”. How do I get Windows XP to work? Should I purchase a whole new Windows pkg? Also, my computer came with Bootcamp Assistant, so is this as good a partition as vmware? What does anyone know about the new Windows 8 coming out next week and how it works on a Mac!
Windows is not a free product, neither is VMware, I assume that you own these (you bought them and have licenses for them) as you may be reinstalling and will need the license to do that.
If you don't have licensing for them I cn't help you. -
I CAN'T GET RID OF QUICK TIME 6.5 ON A WINDOWS XP/HOME COMPUTER
I have a Mac at work with a T-4 trunk line so I sometimes use QT. But, since my genealogy program only works with Windows, I have a Win XP/Home at home using dial-up. As soon as I bought this computer, I downloaded QT 6.5 not realizing that I couldn't use it. I understand there are security flaws and I want to remove it.
Under Add or Remove Programs, there is no mention of Quick Time or Apple. I downloaded Windows Install Clean Up and neither QT nor Apple is listed. When I go to Start>All Programs>Quick Time, there are 4 options: 1). QT Player, 2). QT Read Me, 3). QT Updater and 4). Picture Viewer. The only place I can find Quick Time is in my Control Panel between Program Updates and Regional Language Options. There is the QT icon.
I can't believe that Apple would not include an un-installer. Rather than spend 4+ hours downloading a newer update (and not sure if it would un-install the older version) and not being able to use it anyway, I just want to get QT 6.5 off my Windows computer.

I have an old iPhone 3Gs with software version 4.3.5, I am trying to use it again, and it works fine, but I have not been able to update the software. Every time I try, I get the following message:
"there was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone, the network connection could not be established". This happens even though I have a working internet connection.
Besides that, all the other functions work properly, even synchronize apps and library.

I have bought a time capsule to use as time machine device. Until now I have used a external hard disk. How can I transfer the the old time machine datas to the time capsule?
This is really difficult to the point of not really worth it.
Keep the old TM backups in archive.. and start afresh on the TC.
Time Machine has a different way of backing up on Network drives cf Local drives.
Pondini does have a method to do it... but I would not recommend it.

Use the manual methods.. but it is possible for TM to wipe the old files in trying to fit into the space.

If the mailbox is synced from LDAP and you have LDAP Auth enabled on CUC, then this would be your AD password. If it's synced over AXL, not synced at all, or LDAP synced but without Auth, then there will be an alphanumeric password field on the mailbox under Edit > Change Passwords.

What's the API to change a media item's rating? I can find my music tracks, and get their MPMediaItem. I know how to pull their MPMediaItemPropertyRating property. I don't know what class/function is needed to alter the music rating. Thank you.
