You need to check the FAQ section on their website - there is a link contained to check on compatibility. Here is an excerpt:
I would guess that it might not be supported in Mavericks, but contact them to make sure. The second problem is that it's been discontinued.

I upgraded to Mavericks from 10.6.8 and I no longer have any of my mail folders in macmail. If I look up an email via spotlight, I can find it, so it's in there. How do I restore my folders?

As an update: I was able to find my archived boxes and emails on my hard drive by doing this:
    Open a Finder window.
Select Go | Go to Folder… from the menu.
    Type "~/Library/Mail/V2".
Once I was able to get my macmail working properly, most of my mailboxes appeared, however not all and only a few recent emails are in a few of the boxes.
I really need to move the emails from the archive back into my macmail. When I try to import using the mbox method, it doesn't recognize the .mbox even though they are .mbox. Other than re-emailing each individually to myself, I don't know what to do. Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to some easier solution?

  • I recently upgraded to Mavericks from Snow Leopard. Does Snow Leopard still exist on my Mac? If so, is it possible to restart under Snow Leopard in order to run PowerPC apps? If not, is there an OS available in 64 bit that supports PowerPC apps? Mav ***.

I recently upgraded to Mavericks from Snow Leopard. Does Snow Leopard still exist on my Mac? If so, is it possible to restart under Snow Leopard in order to run PowerPC apps? If not, is there an OS available in 64 bit that supports PowerPC apps? Mav ***.

The only reason I upgraded to Mavericks was because my Snow Leopard OS was 32 bit, which I was told would support only 4GB of RAM.
That wasn't quite right. You can put in as much RAM as your Mac's hardware supports. The division is in the apps themselves. A 32 bit app can't use more than 4 GB or RAM. A 64 bit app can use much more.
For example, as a 32 bit only version, Photoshop CS3 can't use more 4GB of RAM, no matter how much you actually have installed. CS4 or later can use all the RAM you want to throw at it.

  • HT6114 how to upgrade to Mavericks from Lion

    Please help
    Thanks in advance

  • I have Quicken for mac 2005, can I upgrade to Maverick from OS X 10.6.8?

I have Quicken for mac 2005, can I upgrade to Maverick from OS X 10.6.8 and not keep all data?

I am new to the Apple Support community but am hopeful that you can help me!!  I have just bought a MacBook Air, migrated my stuff and found that my Quicken for Mac 2005 is no longer supported. (I still have my Quicken 2005 working on my Mac OS X - Version 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard?)  I saw a thread of communications back in 2012/13 where you helped a lot of people find ways to get their 2005 data into new versions - something about a $15 purchase.  However, I can't find those discussions again.  AND I don't know if they are 'relevant' because I'm now using the latest Yosemite, which someone just told me to upgrade for free....But this same person told me to switch to iBank, which others who have used Quicken for years didn't like.  I'd just as soon stay with Quicken but it seems like they have less support for Mac users.  Do you think I can move my data successfully still?  I live and work overseas and leave the USA on Monday and am trying to leave my older MacBook Air (the one with my 2005 Quicken on it) here....
    Thanks for any advice.

  • Recently upgraded to Mavericks from 10.6.8. Now I can't access Segoe UI Light when in any Microsoft 2011 Office for Mac app.

I recently upgraded to Mavericks from 10.6.8. Now I can't access Segoe UI Light when in any Microsoft 2011 Office for Mac app. When I open files using Segoe UI Light created before the OS upgrade, another font shows up on the page, yet checking the ribbon, it lists the font as Segoe UI Light. Only Light ( Regular, SemiLight, Semibold, Bold, etc. are all accessible) and only Microsoft apps (works fine in Adobe suite). The Segoe UI family is enabled in Font Book. This font is used extensively in company presentations and documents, so I absolutely need access to it. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • Attempted to upgrade to Mavericks from Lion 10.7.5 and does not work, what gives?

Attempted to upgrade to Mavericks from Lion 10.7.5, but whenever I attempt the upgrade the Apple prompt replies 'cannot complete'. I may be mistaken, but I think my Mac Pro is qualified (MacPro 1.1, Dual-Core Xenon @2.66 GHz, 6 GB DRAM). What gives?

The MacPro 1,1 does not support Mavericks. It has to be a 2008 model or later:

  • How can I upgrade to Maverick from 10.6.8? I cannot seem to find it in the Apple Store.

How can I upgrade to Mavericks from 10.6.8? I cannot find in in the Apple Store. Thanks.

As of now you can upgrade to Yosemite, but not to Mavericks, at the App Store.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
You can upgrade to Mavericks from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mavericks can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Mavericks from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mavericks is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

  • HT6114 I am trying to upgrade to Mavericks from 10.6.8.  When it tells me to close all applications, Safari will not close and I cannot proceed.  What to do?

I am trying to upgrade to Mavericks from 10.6.8.  It tells me to close all open applications.  However, Safari will not close and the installation cannot proceed.  Any suggestions?

Either try to force quit Safari (press Command + Option + Escape keys and then choose force quit in the pop up window), or, you can also shut down the computer. Then boot up and open the app store application to download Mavericks - you don't need Safari for it.

How fast is your download speed? If it's less than 10Mbps, it's going to take hours.
