If I were to delete some pictures from my camera roll on my iphone for more storage, will those pictures be deleted from icloud as well?
I'm trying to delete pictures on my iphone so I can have more storage but I don't know if that would cause my pictures to be deleted from icloud as well. I really need help!
OK, so if you don't have a Camera Roll, then you are using iCloud Photo Library. Here are the FAQs on the iCloud Photo Library:
iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ - Apple Support
If you have iCloud Photo Library turned on (you can verify this by going to Settings>iCloud>Photos>then verify that iCloud Photo Library is turned on, and if you also have the Optimize option in Settings>iCloud>Photos or Settings>Photos & Camera>Optimize = ON, then iCloud will manage the photos that are on your device automatically:
How does iCloud Photo Library save space on my device?
If you turn on Optimize [device] Storage, iCloud Photo Library will automatically manage the size of your library on your iOS device, so you can make the most of your device's storage and access more photos than ever. iCloud Photo Library stores the original, high-resolution photos and videos in iCloud and can keep lightweight, device-optimized versions on each of your devices. As long as you have enough storage, recent photos and videos that you access the most will stay on your device at full resolution.
To turn on Optimize [device] Storage on your device, tap Settings > iCloud > Photos or Settings > Photos & Camera, then select Optimize [device] Storage. You need an Internet connection to access an original photo or video that’s stored only in iCloud.

I accidentally deleted some photos from my camera roll on my iPhone. Is there a way to recover them?
Also to add to what Ana said, if you've been importing http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 to your computer as you would a digital camera. Then you can sync http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 them back to your phone using iTunes.

I was organizing my photos into albums. then deleting them from my Camera roll. Then I went into MY Photo Stream and started deleting the pics I had moved to albums;Come to find out I deleted all pic from everywhere!! Would the iCloud still have them saved
First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.
What computer do you have? -
I should know, but I don't. If I upload all of my photos to iCloud and then delete them off of my iPhone (for more storage space), will they all remain in iCloud or am I missing the point of iCloud?
Right now, there is no way to upload and access photos in iCloud. You need to import them to a computer if you want to be able to retrieve them later:

im trying to free up space on my iCloud from pics i had on my camera roll that i dont need or want that did get backed up to my iCloud. i wasnt aware that pics stay there after i delete them from my camera roll. if thats correct.
You don't need to delete photos from your camera roll to save on backup sizes, you can turn individual items on and off for back up in your iCloud back up settings.
Apple States that the last 3 back ups are accessible, which means the photos from your back up may not be removed immediately.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

How can I get all photos from the camera roll, and all new pictures taken, to get on the photostream so they can share between iphone and ipad?
When turning PhotoStream on with photos available in the Camera Roll, only photos captured by the iPhone or saved on the iPhone are placed in the PhotoStream.
For all photos that were in the Camera Roll prior to turning PhotoStream on, import the photos with your computer and add the photos to your PhotoStream on your computer. -

I want to back up the photos on my iPhone directly to my iPad. I don't want to use a computer as I am travelling and did not bring my macbook with me. I also don't want to store all my photos in iCloud as I am away for three months and have read that the iCloud only stores for 30 days?
If anyone can help provide a solution that would be fantastic! Thanks! I've turned iCloud and Photostream on and the new photos are coming through. I emailed my older photos to myself (there weren't that many) to then download to the iPad.
For future reference, do you know how to import older images into Photostream? -
How can I move Whatsapp or google photos from the camera roll to a different folder
How can I move Whatsapp or google photos from the camera roll to a different folder
How can I move Whatsapp or google photos from the camera roll to a different folder
The only way to remove photos from the Camera roll is to delete them. You cannot move them directly from the Camera roll to another album.
Sync the photos to your computer, remove them from iPhone and resync the photos to your iphone.

I'm using Aperture(3.5.1) on my iMac(10.9.4). I've connected the IOS device(5S) to the computer, opened Aperture and tried to import from the camera roll on my iPhone. Photos that I see in the camera roll don't show up in the Aperture import window, though I can see them in the camera roll on the phone. In fact, since aug. 23, 2014, none of my iPhone photos show up in the import window.
I've shut down my iPhone and my iMac and restarted both, but no change.
I'm aware Aperture is going away soon. I'd like to get these photos off my phone and into Aperture so when the big merge comes, I won't be missing anything.Could the photos already have been imported to Aperture using Photo Stream? The Import window will not show them, if the option "Do not import Duplicates" is active and the photos are already in the library.
Check any Import option in the Import settings, that might be excluding photos from importing. -

I was trying to free up icloud storage in order to back up my iphone 5 using my ipad. I mistakenly deleted some photos from my camera roll and they were deleted from both iphone and ipad photo albums. Can I retrieve them somehow or are they gone forever? Now I read that doesn't help to free up space...not sure what does free up space so I can back up my phone again. Help!
Welcome to the Apple Community bonwal.
Are you sure you deleted them from your camera roll and not from photo stream. -
after sorting my pictures into albums, I deleted them from the camera roll, includings the ones filed in the albums. Would it e possible to get them back ?
A photo in the Camera Roll cannot be in an album unless the photo remains in the Camera Roll. Photos in an album or not duplicated. A photo in an album includes a pointer to the original photo stored in the Camera Roll. The Camera Roll is for temporary storage. Photos/videos can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
The Camera Roll is included with your iPhone's backup. If your iPhone's backup has been updated to include all photos that were in the Camera Roll and has not been updated since the photos were deleted, you can try restoring your iPhone from your iPhone's backup. Do not update your iPhone's backup before doing so and decline the prompt to update your iPhone's backup as the first step after selecting Restore. -
I lost all my pictures! Please help:( I added all my photo to a new album from the camera roll and i delete the picture that already move to new album, at last all my picture was gone !:'( Please, anyway to recover back all my photo? please help :'( Apple Service Center or Branch can help?
Albums is a way or sorting photos. Photos aren't moved from the Camera roll. The Camera Roll consists of all the photos on the phone. If you delete from Camera Roll they are deleted everywhere but Photo Stream.
Are you using Photo Stream? Your photos, providing they wer recent should still be in Photo Stream. If you have Photo Stream set up on your computer they should all be there.

Using Mac OS 10.5 Leopard on Alienware PC's
Hi, I have an Alienware Area-51 m9750 laptop which runs on Windows Vista OS. It is possible to install and run Leopard 10.5 OS on this laptop, and if YES, are there any technical problems that would occur if running both OS's on a PC? Thanks...
