If macbook retina's display have a problem

I want to know that if it have a problem only display (broken a bit), it'll change only display or all of macbook and how much i'll pay for it?
and how long you spend for this problem?

I have had display issues with twice with my older MBP (2006 vintage).  Both times I was advised by the Genius bar to send it to an off-premises repair facility where they would not only address my specific problem but check out the entire MBP and fix everything for a flat fee (both times $310 + tax).  I acquiesced and the second time they replaced not only the display, but the lower case, RAM cover, topcase, keyboard, AirPort card and the optical Drive.  It looked brand new! (that was about 18 months ago)
I feel I got more than just my moneys worth.  If the program is still in effect and even if the price has been increased I think it would be worth it.  I still use my old MBP (right at this moment) and I only got a newer one because I needed a faster machine for some video applications.  To a large degree, obsolescence is to often a state of mind rather than reality.  I see nothing wrong with a 2008 MBP (if it is working properly).
Go to the Apple store and get a definitive diagnosis and discuss what your options are.  If indeed my suspicions are correct, $310 or some what more, would be a very good price for this repair.  Check out repair prices for replacing mother boards and displays by other repair shops and you will find Apples deal a bargain.
Good luck,
Ciao.

Not that there are any real solutions but there is a thread dedicated to this exact problem:

It seems as though it is a hardware issue. You may try bringing the MacBook Pro to an Apple Store (depending on where you are.) Be sure to bring the picture that you have here.

Using a IP191 monitor, have random horizontal streaks on display - have no problem with other browsers; also no problem with FF on other family PC's.
These "streaks" appear to be area of too high frequency scanning; they can be cleared by scrolling up and/or down.

hello, maybe that's an issue with hardware acceleration - please try [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL|updating your graphics driver]], or in case this doesn't solve the issue or there is no new version available at the moment, disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu [[Image:New Fx Menu]] > options > advanced > general''.

  • Does the iMac with Retina 5K Display have "user accessible" SO-DIMM slots or not?

The Apple Site "http://www.apple.com/imac-with-retina/specs/" for the iMac with Retina 5K Display states for memory that it has "four SO-DIMM slots, user accessible".  What does that really mean?  Contact with Apple support indicates that the newest iMac is sealed, therefore I MUST order it with all of the memory I need, or I would have to break the seal (tear it apart) to upgrade the memory later to get to the memory slots...there is no access door as there was in earlier iMacs.  Is the memory in slots or soldered in?  How can that be interpreted as "user accessible"?  This seems very misleading, or Apple support has it wrong.
Sorry if this seems like a rant, but it sort of is.  Does anyone know the facts on this?

The previous 27 inch iMacs had the same statement. It means that the user can access the memory slots and add or change ram. There is an access panel on the iMac. On 21 inch iMacs there is no door and the ram is not user accessible.

  • Game froze my MacBook Pro, now I have internet problems-What should I do?

    Hi,
I recently bought a game to play on my macbook pro, it is Sims Castaway Stories for Mac by Aspyr.
My laptop meets/exceeds the requirements to play it.  It only uses little ram and hardrive space.
I installed it a few days ago, my laptop started to get really worked up 30-60 mins into playing the game.  My laptop was making A LOT of noise and got pretty hot, I could hear that it was making a lot of effort to ventilate the heat out and to keep my laptop cool.
About 5 hours into playing the game My laptop completely froze and I had to force shut it down and restart.
Everything seemed fine when I restarted it.  I played the game the next few days and it ran fine for over 5 hours.  However my laptop is still very hot and noisy every time I play the game, and even when I don't have the game open, but just the disc in.
When I have the game running and go on the internet the videos I watch are distorted, images are fragmented + oddly colored, pages load in computer code, and pages won't load occasionally.
I have the same problems with my internet when the game disc is not in my laptop. (disc out= no super hot and hyperventilating laptop problems)
I have even uninstalled the game completely and the internet problems are still there.
I use google chrome, but I have the same problems on safari.
My home windows pc has the same internet problems as well, my second windows pc does not.
Is this a bad internet connection problem or has this game damaged my laptop?
    What should I do?

The Internet is sent to you in packets with an error-detection code on them. Ones that come through with errors are rejected. Distortions and problems with display are caused by problems on your computer itself, not by bad data from the Internet.
Most games, including ones tied to the Internet, work your computer very hard. It will get hot. When it starts to get hot, the fans will go on high. Putting the DVD in the drive makes a motor spin it up and that causes heat as well.
Do you have enough RAM memory to support all the things you are doing at once? If not, your Hard drive will be on all the time to do Paging to simulate more RAM memory, and spinning its motor all the time will make your Mac really Hot.
To cool the underside by convection, at least 3/4 inch (20mm) space is needed underneath. A smaller space is not effective.

  • Macbook Pro's display have weird lines

    Hey everyone,
I have a macbook pro (15-inch, Early 2011), sometimes horizontal and vertical lines randomly show up on my screen (photo below)! I' ve notice that happen when I have photoshop and illustrator opened. Is graphics card problem? Any thoughts? Thanks

Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6490M 256 MB

i have the same problem. and i saw on apple website https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/, that they have opened a replacement program for it. so i sent my macbook pro to an authorized apple service provider. website : http://www.ishop.com.gh/

  • Macbook retina multiple displays heating

    Greetings,
I have a MacBook Pro Retina, Mid 2012.  I loaded Mavericks onto it two days ago.  This morning when I arrived at work, I plugged my three dell monitors into it (2 via lighting and 1 via USB).  Within 5 minutes, the fan on the left side started spinning loudly.  After multiple test with different monitors, I have found that I can only use 1 external monitor before the fan starts working really hard.  Even with all the applications closed with more than one monitor connected create this over heating condition.
    Any ideas?
    Michael

    Greetings,
As it turns out, the overheating was caused by Dropbox.  It took a while to understand the new layout with activity monitor.  The fan is still spinning more than it was under Mountain Lion, but not near what it was when I hooked up the three other monitors.

  • Yosemite 10.10.2 update has slowed down my iMac and Macbook. Anyone else have this problem?

My iMac and Macbook were operating well until the Yosemite 10.10.2 update. Now, the wheel spins when I try to scroll down on pages, or when I try to move from screen to screen. Programs freeze up more often, needing to be forced to quit, or just crash altogether. Safari has been particularly affected. Both computers are only 6 months old. I close all other programs and Safari tabs, but this does not help.
(iMac 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3; specs on Macbook not handy as I post this.)
I have come to dread OS X updates and I'll be careful about downloading them in the future.  I am becoming more and more disappointed in Apple as a whole. The last time I called Applecare for help was pointless. I learn more from forums like this.

  • My Macbook pro 15,4 retina display have dense horizontal lines

My Macbook pro 15,4 retina display have dense horizontal lines and one vertical line in left side corner..

Sounds like a GPU, Display or Display connection problem.  An appointment at an Apple store genius bar is the best option.  Your MBP is probably still within the warranty period.
    Ciao.

You really have to mess with the resoluton, espescially the refresh rate, as it varies from projector to projector, monitor to monitor. Even within the same brand! Because so many manufacturers are trying so many different things to become the next cool kid on the block, and the way the formats are being configured that's now part of the game.
That's why so many professionally produced corporate shows hire a dedicated projectionist for the video presentations. Too many bugs in the honey.
Refresh & sesolution are the first things to look at.
Just so you know that colors in PowerPoint PC, and PowerPoint Mac, don't exactly match... go figure.
I forgot to mention another thing, sometimes it's the projector that needs to be tweaked.

Well, my two-month-old MBP has no qualms about booting from a no-name external USB HD I put together...
Given that is is a common point of failure, I would imagine a large Apple Store should keep a stock of HD's on hand.
Now since you're a bit desperate and the genie pops up til Saturday and you seem to be the enterprising kind, let's try an experiment: if you have room enough in the external HD and assuming it isn't a Time Machine volume, why don't you plug it in, stick the Install CD and see if the installer lets you select the external drive as the install target. If you can install Leopard on it, on top of the backup without reformatting, and the Mac can boot from the drive afterwards, at least you would have some functionality restored and would be able to pull your stuff from the internal HD. Apple says booting from USB drives is not supported but that does not equate to not possible; some brands do work. Risks? Always. You can always lose your backup. Like I said, a challenge for an enterprising gal....
Next time around, consider having a bootable external clone at hand for rainy days. I keep three myself...
P.S. Since I'll be in the Dallas-FW area in late June, I can volunteer with the confetti....
