my computer gets unexpectedly shutdown while i was logged in my gmail and facebook account and when restarted my system and opened facebook and gmail ,i found that i was logged in.This is when i have unchecked ''''''password remember'''''' option and '''keep me logged in''' option .How to solve it ?

You can set the pref <b>browser.sessionstore.privacy_level</b> to 2 (never) or 1 (non-HTTPS, default in Firefox 3 versions) on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable saving cookies via session restore.
You can change the browser.sessionstore.privacy_level_deferred pref that is used when you do not reopen the previous session automatically via "Show my windows and tabs from last time".

The music sync is one one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases

Why does Firefox keep hanging, crashing, sulking, dying when internet connection behaves? Once it renders the page it should forget about the page. Why does it behave when some link is clicked when there is no internet? It should just say internet not available or some crap. Why die, sulk, crash?? I don't get it! 3 series was much much much better!

I should add, I've re-downloaded Firefox, but that doesn't look like it has helped any. Still get seemingly inexplicable crashes.

Mountain 10.8.2 do not like '.exe' file at all !! IT gets Hanged and then Force to restart

After Update with 10.8.2. The System get hang (stuck)
I had to do a forced restart, several time and even a ReBoot in safety more.
AND I FIGURED OUT WHY :
I realized that in one of my folder (Download) I had an ".exe" File; Than have been downloaded (because i got Parallel Desktop that neable window7 to run under the Mac), and causes the problem (system is hanged)
Then when I reboot in safety mode I deleted that file. And Then everything went OK.
But when I plugged my USB key, I got again my system that turn to stop... Then again Force to Restart, remove the USB Key.
Guess what!! In the USB Key (at the root) there was again some '.exe' Files...
In conclusion :
There is an issue with that new release of Mountain Lion 10.8.2 that cause the system to get hang, when "Finder" meet an '.exe' file.
It occurs only when you open your "Finder" then go throughout some folder where you have placed some '.exe' file. Then your system will not respond anymore. You got to force the restart
Just to make it clear, of course I do not want to run an '.exe' file under Mac.
But If like me you have Parallel Desktop in order to run Window7 or 8; you might have some '.exe' file that are located in your Mac Folder…..
Then, when you open 'Finder' and you walk through your folder and meet an '.exe' file, thus you system will freeze!!
Work Arround Solution, that's only happen if your '.exe' File is not associtaed to be open under Window Explorer (if you have Parallel Desktop, of course).
Then, make sure to associate the extension '.exe' to Window Explorer, if you have some '.exe' File that are located in your folder or USB key,
Otherwise your system will freeze and you will have to force the restart.

That right I do not need to have any .exe file in my Mac environment; but having
installed Parallel Desktop (to have a Window Environment, due to business matters)
you might have from time to time some of that files ins download area or in the USB key.
The Test I made is very simple : I placed an .exe file in an USB Key; then plug in to my Mac
then from Finder open the folder where was that exe file…. Guess what ???
My computer get FREEZE (no respond)… I got to reboot.
Then I do not know what's going on. With the previous version (10.8.1) I never got such of issue ?

Reset Password
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse pointer to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box under “Select user account”.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

Why won't firefox keep me logged in on mozilla website?

I came here, registered, went to email, clicked activation link. error reported with link, with suggestion that I clicked wrong link, but it's the ONLY link in the email.
Came back to mozilla site, tried my login and p/w...surprise!..got logged in!
No checkbox for keeping me logged in automatically everytime I visit mozilla site, but FF will remember login details, si I have to click 'sign in' link everytime, which wouldn't be so bad, but when I'm trying to reply to somebody having issues that I've had before, it becomes more than just a minor nuisance having to reload the page yet again.
Is this an intenional thing with mozilla to not have their own browser not automatically logging into it's own site?
Is it a site upgrade/suggestion thing?
Either way, it's almost enough to make me wonder just what you guys smoke when you design webpages, cos I thought this was supposed to be a "personal, customisable' browser that automatically signed in when visiting a page.
There's not even an option for it on the profile page.
I am the only one using my computer, so I see no point in NOT allowing it to happen.

Those details are stored in cookies, make sure that you have cookies enabled.

Except for the first response, all of you are unhelpful. The email was configured. Apple contacted me about the issue and said that the iPad cannot attach multiple docs to a single email regardless of whether the docs are located on the iCloud, in Pages, or a dropbox. It's operating system is not designed to do so (a stupid error if they are promoting the use of iPads for business and productivity, or even fields like architecture, design, and marketing, or even as an office alternative for remote use in meetings...which they are in professional consultations with offices). It also cannot do this through an alternate email site like a university server, yahoo, gmail, etc via Safari. Apple also cannot recommend a third party App that can do so. What they recommended, and there seems to be a lot of buzz about this being a problem with the iPad on the Internet, is that people go to their website, go to product feedback and go to enhancement requests and request the capacity to attach different types of files other than photos, and the capacity to attach multiple documents to an email. Basic functions...any email user would want. One of the Apple techs even thought it was implausible that they hadn't integrated this function ALREADY, when I called to set up the appointment.

Hi when I log into my email account with bt - I read my emails and log out. If I then pass my ipad to my friend he logs into his email with bt also. If he then clicks on mail it takes him straight to my emails and he can't access his own, regardless of how many attempts he makes logging in and out.

Elements 13 will open ok once , I then have to restart computer to reopen it again.re without restarting.

Just installed elements 13 on a windows 7 64 bit machine that has all current updates installed.The program will open once and is usable, after closing the program and trying to reopen it it wont open. Starting task manager shows the program as still running , you cant end the program in task manager. If i restart the computer the program will open up again and function ok until i close it and it wont reopen without a restart of the computer.I have tried running it as administrator , no help.

Computer Froze, how do I Reboot to Restart Computer?

My Mac Mini Froze which doesn't do too often just once in a while say like once a year. When my computer does Freeze how Do I restart or reboot my computer from the Keyboard? (Force Quite Computer) I have a Apple white key, clear bottom Keyboard.
I tried to turn off the computer from the back Power button that didn't work, so I had to pull ot the Power Plug (cold shut off) from the back to turn off my computer then plug the computer back in and did a Reboot.
Can someone tell me how to do a computer reboot from my keyboard after a computer Freeze?

Holding CTRL and Eject on a MacOS X system would normally bring up the Restart/Sleep/Cancel/Shutdown dialog, where then hitting return will action the shutdown since it's the default selection in the dialog, but there is no standard key sequence which will go directly to shutdown. You may be able to set one however in the keyboard shortcuts tab of the keyboard and mouse preference pane if you feel you need one.
It has to be said however, that if the system has frozen, chances are that a key sequence won't be recognized - in which case the only method is to press and hold the power button until the Mac goes off. Normally it takes about 5-10 seconds of holding the power button for the system to power down. Pulling the power cable out is not recommended since it's an abrupt disconnection which can cause spikes and other problems, where holding the power button in generally causes the system to ensure everything is shut down rather more gracefully.
