If my iphone 4 warranty has run out and my home button is broken.... How much do I have to pay?

I have booked an appointment at the apple store near me for next Thursday, but I just wanted to prepare myself! Does anyone know, if the home button breaks when your warranty has run out, how much does it cost to get it replaced? Or do they give you a new one free of charge due to it being a common issue? Many thanks!

If your iPhone is out of warranty and without an AppleCare plan, then Apple will not replace the iPhone for free. See the Service Pricing section here:

There are independent iPhone repair services that may be able to do the repair for less than Apple's out-of-warranty charge. Do a web search for "iPhone repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPhone serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty and support will be voided.
Regards.
