If my iphone is damaged beyond repair do i lose my progress in the games in game center or do they just resume on my new iohone?

If my iPhone is damaged beyond repair do I lose my progress in a game center game or does it
start from where I left off in my new iphone

If you are asking what happens when you delete an iCloud backup, it only deletes the backup from your account.  It won't do anything to the data on your phone or in your iCloud account.  If you don't need to backup you can delete it.  (If you no longer want to back up your phone to iCloud, turn iCloud backup off in Settings>iCloud>Backup.  Then your phone will back up to your computer each time you sync it with iTunes.)

  • I phone 4s water damaged beyond repair

Hi everyone, perhaps someone can help with my dilemma. Much loved i phone 4s was dropped down the loo....exactly. It's damaged beyond repair. My problem is finding a replacement. The phone was bought by my daughter from her older brother, and was a much prized possession. It had 64gb and was priceless to her. Her birthday's coming up and I'd love to find a way to get another one for her, but they aren't around anymore. Can anyone suggest a solution? Any site I could buy a refurbished one for her, that would be trustworthy?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Contact Apple. They will do an out-of-warranty exchange on that 4S for £ 166.44 if you're in UK, or check your country's pricing by going to Apple - Support - Service Answer Center  and change that to your own country, then look under Warranty and Service Pricing.

  • When I create a playlist and sync it to my iPhone not all of the playlist transfers over.  All of the songs are there and are playable they just do not show up on the playlist.

When I create a playlist and sync it to my iPhone not all of the songs on the playlist transfer over.  All of the songs are there and are playable they just do not show up on the playlist.  For example, in itunes on my computer a playlist has over 100 songs, but when I sync my phone, my iphone only shows 60 songs.  I can go into my phone and add the missing songs to the playlist, but the next time I sync my phone the songs are gone again.

Wondering if you haven't been bitten by the new "feature" of iOS 5, as was my son. turingtest2 explained it very well in reply to my own query about "missing" songs in playlists.

  • Extracting music from older (not iCloud compatible) iPod- old PC was damaged & I want to be able to add/ remove songs using my new PC (can't unload software properly- PC damaged beyond repair).

I have an old iPod that was associated with a PC that has been destroyed (I didn't unload iTunes from it before it was damaged).  I know that if I plug the iPod into my new PC, it will erase all of my old material.
Is there a way to extract the material from my old iPod, load it onto my new PC, and be able to manage my music & keep it on my iPod?
I have an iPhone, but do not want to load all of the music onto that; my iPod (though older) still works perfectly fine.  I just need to be able to add/ remove songs, etc.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Mac Hard Drive Damaged Beyond Repair?

Hello, My mac was fine and one day i went to turn it on and found it would not load :O I tried a safe boot, then tried single user mode but got I/O Errors and Invalid Node structure errors forever. I put the computer in Target disk mode and transferred the files i want to keep. Then in target disk mode i tried disk utility but was unable to repair the hard drive So i did the only other thing i thought would work, i erased the hard drive since i already have the files i need. Now Trying to load i get the Blinking folder with ?. so i created a recovery HD thumbdrive and ran disk utility, "Disk Utility Was Unable to repair the hard drive". Is The Hard Drive Toast? • I BOUGHT IPHONE 4 FROM CHINA BUT WHY I DONT GET WARRANTY FOR IT IN INDIA SERVICE CENTER IS SAYING THEY CANT REPAIR IT CUZ ITS OUT COUNTRY HANDSET... M SO UPSET PLZ HELP ME OUT

i bought phone from china but i m from india and i m not getting warrenty in india....i m so upset with this type of feed back from authorised service center in india...how they can tell me that phone is out of warrenty cuz i biought it from china...is there anyone who can tell me if its true that we will not get warrenty for iphone in india

I am from Canada and have the Unlocked iPhone 4 and the phone is on LTE network, when I bought Apple Care + warranty I was told if I had problems I can get it fixed or replaced in Hong Kong.  I was told the wrong thing.
I was at the Apple store in Causeway Bay, one of the Store TL from Toronto works there now, told me China/HK iPhone runs on a CDMA network and therefore cannot replace or exchange my phone for me.  Their phones doesn't have LTE network.. That might be a problem for you in India.  Every country's network is different and I think it's a case of miscommunications.
The iPhone 4 comes with your basic 1yr warranty, unless you purchased extended warranty for another 2 yrs which might have coverage at India.  The best is to contact or email: Apple Warranty in the USA.  They're awesome.  They reply you back quickly & very informative.

  • Why cant apple track my stolen iphone if it connects to the internet after reset. the IMEI number stays the same so i dont understand why they just dont shut it off and call me and the police to inform me about the whereabouts of the phone

Hi, my iphone was stolen around a month ago. After the phone popped up on find my iphone in central london the police decided to be really helpful and instead going to get it they closed my case. Since then it has been offline because the "lovely" individual who stole it obviously reset it. I was just wondering why doesnt apple track phones through the IMEI number. The number stays the same, so if the phone connects to the network they should be able to know that its my stolen iphone. I just dont understand why they dont do that. They have a huge ecosystem, and if someone signs in to my iphone with their itunes account (which they pretty much have to in order to use most of the phones features) the IMEI number gets associated with that perticular account. Would it not be possible for them to realize that its my stolen phone?
    Thanks to anyone that answers.

Your carrier can lock the IMEI number, try contacting them. At least you'll have the satifsaction of knowing the theif can't use it anymore. My guess is Apple doesn't block IMEI numbers because they don't want someone selling a phone without record, and then reporting it stolen and causing problems that way. But that's just a guess, I feel for ya. Good luck either way, if it's a locked phone you should be able to call the carrier it's locked to and have the IMEI blocked.

  • IPhone app (shapewriter) is corrupted. App's no longer in the Store. How can I restore from my backup?

An iPhone app that I love has become corrupted. This app is no longer available in the Store. Can I restore the app from my phone backup? How? Anything to watch out for?
Shapewriter was purchased by Nuance. As most Dragon users will tell you, Nuance treats its customers badly; apparently it does the same to companies it buys. Soon after they bought Shapewriter, they took it down from the store. Rumor has it that they just bought it as a weapon in some patent battle. Sad: it's a really cool app.

No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    iCloud: Erase your device
    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • Is my iPhone beyond repair?

I dropped my iPhone 4s in water Friday. It was completely submerged for a few seconds. I pulled it out and dried it off as best I could. I put it in a bag of rice for 39 hours. After taking it out the iPhone was unresponsive. I put it on my charger and the dead battery screen flashed. It has been charging for 1 hour. When I press the home button or the power buttin, the dead battery screen just flashes. I noticed the red indicator for water damage. Is my iPhone beyind repair?

It might be possible for you to get a replacement iPhone after you make the Out of Warranty fee payment.
It is not covered by the warranty but it is not classified as beyond economical repair.

I would advise that you go to an Apple Store near by.

  • I accidentally dropped my Iphone 5s on the ground which caused damage on the corner edge of the phone.  Is there a hope this can get repaired? My phone is still within the first year warranty. I hope to hear from you. Thank you.

I accisentally dropped my iphone on the ground causing damaged on the
corder edge of the phone. Can this still be repaired? My phone is still within the first year warranty. I hope to hear from you. Thank you

The standard iPhone warranty does not cover accidental damage. Apple will fix it, but they will charge the full repair cost.
The AppleCare+ warranty for the phone, which you can buy within 30 days of the iPhone purchase, does cover two incidents of accidental damage and repairs are charged at $75 I believe.
Your carrier warranty, if you have one, may cover accidental damage - check with them.

  • My iphone 4 damaged and replacement refused

My iphone 4 has been dropped and maincard damaged . I sent it to a local service to check it out because it was out of warranty. So they told me that to send it to authorized service to replace. I sent it to authorized service and they refused replacement because i bought it from other country and also opened by another un authorized iphone service. Yes i made a mistake and gave it another service for repair. Should i throw it to the garbage? I trust apple to help me to recover my iphone at any cost..

Service and support on any iPhone are restricted to the country in which the iPhone was originally sold. This has been clear from the day the iPhone was first released. Your only option at the time your iPhone was damaged was to send the iPhone to a friend or relative in the country in which the iPhone was sold to take or send to service. Since you now have allowed an unauthorized source to open and attempt to service your iPhone, you are completely on your own; Apple will no longer service your iPhone even in the appropriate country.
Sorry, but your choices are to either pay yet another unauthorized repair shop to try and repair your iPhone, or throw it in the trash.
    Regards.

  • I cant get itunes on my new laptop.  My laptop says I have to remove itunes from another computer as I can only have it on 5.  Problem is that apart from my ipad, I no longer have the others as they were either broken beyond repair or lost.  Any ideas?

I am not good with computers.  I am trying to get my iTunes onto this new laptop but it says I am only allowed to have it on 5 computers and I must take it off one to ut it on this new laptop.  Problem is, apart from my iPad, I have lost one laptop and two have been broken beyond repair so I am unable to take it off!  Anyone any ideas?  I have tried to get iTunes support but cant get past the "date of purchase" as I can only guess when I bought my ipod (2009)

    Hang on...
You can only authorise the songs you purchase from the iTunes Store to play on five computers.
You can download and install iTunes (the iTunes programme) onto as many computers as you wish.
    Two different things.
Assuming therefore, that your problem is that you have authorised five computers, but now no longer have some of them, you need to de-authorise all your computers and then re-authorise the computers you still have.
To de-authorise your computers, go to your account in the iTunes Store and look for the Deauthorise All button.

  • I am having trouble with app updates on my iOS 5 iPhone never getting beyond the "waiting" state.

I am having trouble with app updates on my iOS 5 iPhone never getting beyond the "waiting" state. I have tried signing out/in of my account, rebooting and removing/re-installing the apps.  This started shortly after going to iOS 5 but I am not certain if that is related.  All updates that I try now are stuck in "waiting".  I also tried removing the apps and then installing via iTunes desktop sync with no improvement.  The only thing that I have not tried so far is a restore to a prior iPhone backup.  I have not been able to find anything to indciate what the updates on waiting on.  There is plenty of space on the iPhone (16gb available).  Any suggestions on what to try next?

    Hello there, Missy.
First thing I would recommend is to check your downloads queue to make sure there is not an interrupted download per the following Knowledge Base article:
iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1725
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    1. From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
    2. For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
    3. Enter your account name and password if prompted.
    4. Tap the blue download arrow to resume.
If you can't complete the download on your iOS device, you can download it in iTunes on your Mac or PC and then sync it to your iOS device. You can also transfer purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer.
For Apps, you can also try tapping on the application icon to resume the download, as outline in this featured discussion:
App updates won't download on my...: Apple Support Communities
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4111336
Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
