I cloud is not a streaming service. It is simply a storage locker. So before you leave, download the music you are going to want to listen to onto your pad.

It's beta. It's no where near ready for prime time. It's put out there so that developers can start getting their products ready fo the new release.
I've been working in IT for over 25 years. People have gotten the wrong idea about what a beta is thanks to the likes of google, who release a product to market and call it "beta" just so they don't actually have to support it. I've beta tested operating systems going all the way back to OS/2 when it was still a joint Microsoft/IBM project. Believe me, you do NOT want beta versions of operating systems getting into the hands of the unwashed masses. It would quickly turn from 'getting rid of bugs' to outright revolt. -

I have my music from my iPad 2 synced to the cloud. Now I can't access the music from my iTouch or the new Mini iPad unless I have cloud access. This is a problem when I am on a plane or somewhere without Internet access. How do I fix this? Do I need to not use the cloud?

I have forgotten my security questions answers, and because I have entered them wrong a number of times my account is locked. I don't have a rescue email and I need to reset my security questions. Hope you had a great Xmas ! I got some iTunes vouchers and wanted to download some movies and music. Music was fine but can't download any movies. The music pages are white and movies etc have black background and will not let me play previews.

PAlso I forgot to mention that when all this was happening, I wanted to Retore my iPod but this option was also greyed out in the summary section and it wouldnt let me do it, therefore I hooked it up to my Windows XP machine and was able to restore the iPod. Now it was formatted for Windows. I hooked it up to my Mac machine and got all the same problems but it downloads everything from itunes to the iPod except purchased music.
So I opened iPod Updater and it said that it cannot update the iPod because it if formated for Windows. It also says if I now want to Restore it, I need to connect using a firewire cable whereas before I was using a USB cable because it said the Nano is not compatible with a firewire cable.

I have an Apple Configurator install that wont recognize an iPad when I attach it via USB. I cant prepare it or refresh it. It was supervised. I get an error message that says "policy does not have correct profile data". At some point there was a mismatch between the profile on the iPad and the MAC server. The profile on the MAC server has been deleted and the iPad has been erased and reset to default. I need to be able to get Configurator to recognize this device to prepare it for deployment and issue Apps to it. Please help!!
Run the application 'Terminal.app' which you will find in '/Applications/Utilities' on your Macintosh.
Type this into it: defaults delete com.apple.configurator PreprationSavedPolicyDefaultsKey
Hit the return key.
If you get no error message, it worked, and you can quit the app. -

i have downloaded OS X Yosemite using recovery from boot but while installing error occuring showing unable to extract essential.pkg so can't install. problem is i have already formatted my drive and dont have any os right now. only the downloaded new os x yosemite in the os x base system. please help
Please try again after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already taken.
Step 1
Reset your computer’s PRAM.
Step 2
If your model has user-replaceable memory, and you've upgraded the memory modules, reinstall the original memory and see whether there's any improvement. Be careful not to touch the gold contacts. Clean them with a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Aftermarket memory must exactly match the technical specifications of the machine.
Step 3
Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. One backup is not enough to be safe. The backups can be made with Time Machine or with Disk Utility. Preferably both.
Erase and install OS X. This operation will destroy all data on the startup volume, so you had be better be sure of the backups.
Step 4
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider to have the machine tested. -
