If my phone is lost with 'Find my iPhone' activated, will it notify me if they connect the phone to the internet (via usb cable to charge/try to use itunes/etc) in a place where 3G/signal is unavailable?
Dropped my phone and returned to the area 10 minutes later and it is gone.
Problem is that there is a lot of dead area around here. I was wondering if they connected the phone to a laptop or PC connected to the internet with the intent to charge it or get into itunes(in an area with dead signal), will find my iphone notify me?
Thank you in advance...stressing very much about my phone. It is my work phone.
Only way to be able to locate your iphone is if it is turned on. Just a note.

It is my understanding from these documents that if it is on and connected to the internet you can track it. In there it tells how tell if it is online by the color of the dot.

I still think this person is bluffing, but what confuses me is how this person knew how to contact you (?) You must not have had any security on it at all when lost.

My iphone was stolen and i have activated "Find my iphone", when i log in on my icloud accont to find my iphone it was desconected and i activate the lost mode and i gonna be alerted when my iphone get online again. But oh what a surprise 45 minutes later someone restore my icloud password and login in my account and erase my iphone??? How is that possible, he doesnt have my password or how he get into my account and reset my apple id???
I am very disapointed with Apple because i have activated "Find my iphone" and have a long passcode active and it was not enough because the guy who stole my iphone can resotre my apple id password and get into my icloud account and deactivate "Find my iphone" then when i try to login into my apple id account surprise my password is incorrect?? and i have to recover it when i login to my icloud accont my iphone is not longer have "Find my iphone" active??

Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

I can't connect my phone to my pc(via usb cable)! ...
whenever i connect the cable to the phone+pc, the phone doesn't show up on the computer. If I click on the nokia pc sync icon and try to connect it there, my phone isn't even in the phone selector list! and when I click on the connection button, a box pops up that says " cannot use the media modules, please reinstall nokia pc suite (code:mmlistempty)"
so I uninstalled Nokia PC Suite and reinstalled it but its still not working! Help! It worked fine before i don't know why its not working now!Install the Nokia_Suite if you have not yet done. The latest version is no more called OVI Suite...
If problem remains, un-install Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver thru' Windows Control Panel. Reboot PC and connect the phone. Wait till the drivers are re-installed and see for the difference. Make sure the PC is connected to internet when you connect the phone as it may require to download the latest drivers. -
Changing icloud email with find my iphone activated
i have an old email in the icloud account i have a new one that i would like to use but when i try and delete it asks for the password which i dont have anymore and the email is not active.what can i do if anything??

Stolen iMac with "Find my iPhone"
I have a little problem. My iMac from my office was stolen. Now i do not remember registering or setting up the "Find my iphone" on my mac. However when i sign into my apple id on the icloud website, my imac is there. Does that mean my imac is registered? Or is it simply there because that was a product i bought under my account? I hate doing this but a quick answer will be very much appreicated since my imac is for my bussiness

I've lost my iPhone5 like 40 hours ago. I already turned the Lost mode on with Find my iphone app. But my phone has no data plan so it could not connect to the internet at all. I reported to the police, too. What else can I do? Can anybody advise?

If you activated the Find My iPhone service (in Settings>icloud), and if the device's batteries still have a charge, the device is not turned off and has not been reset and is connected to wifi, then you can try to track it. Using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and look at the Find My iPhone page. On a device, invoke the Find My iPhone app (get it for free at the itunes app store) and log into the icloud account. Note: The Find My iPhone **app** does not turn on the service, you can only do that through Settings>icloud.
If the device is listed as "offline", then one of the requirements listed above is not met (like being connected to wifi, or if the device was stolen and the thief reset it). -

You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely. -

You are out of luck since as your described the iPod is not connected to the internet.

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the erase (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 or later on the device. With iOS 7 or later, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

If you don't know the passcode you'll have to force it into recovery mode to restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808. Then restore it to an existing backup, if you have one.
