If my warranty ends today and I make an appointment for 2 days later would I still be covered?

my lock button stopped working on my iphone 4 and when I checked my warranty it said it ends approximately 12/7/11, which is of course today. I cannot get to the store until the weekend but if I make an appointment and its documented with my serial # will it still be covered?

The local Apple Store here has great customer service. I've head reports of them overlooking warranty dates sometimes in an effort to help customers. I would go in and just explain you couldn't get in prior to the end of your warranty period. I bet things will work out OK.

Go to the local Apple store and purchase a refurbished replacement.

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task. Start with Google to search for these.

Have you tried giving it a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple let go and let it reboot and see if htat helps.

The overall settings for VoiceOver is on the shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes.
Artist name and song name - Press and release the VoiceOver button.

Hi,
You can change this in System Preferences, Language & Text.
Go to System Preferences > Language & Text > Formats tab and change where it says Custom to your location. Then re-open iCal.

We do not share an apple ID and her phone is now logged in with her account and I have since backed it up on itunes under her account as well. I have turned off automatic downloads on her phone but they still keep downloading. I delete one app and then another one just appears on the phone.

My 3rd generation ipod touch shut off but now won't charge and is not recognized by my computer. All it shows is the black screen with the apple logo. It did this once before and after letting it sit for a day it charged. I tried this again but nothing.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Your nano would really have nothing to do with it at that point. It is really something between iTunes and whatever server out there on the internet that it is trying to connect to for the update.
Try posting this one in the iTunes forum, they might have a solution for you.

You can buy the upgrade in the store using their wireless network (normal upgrade fee would apply--$19.99 US). I'm not sure if you could use a wired connection.
Using the wireless would not require an appointment, but you could make one with the Genius bar to have them help you.

There are companies that specialize in data retrieval but it's costly (probably cheaper to buy a new iPod) and more than likely as Allan said, your circuits are probably damaged beyond all hope of retrieving anything. It's worth calling Apple you maybe able to get a discount or a refurbished iPod. Can't hurt to ask, Good luck. (And in the future... no texting in the john.) Sorry, couldn't resist it.

You can just show up for a genius bar appointment, but it's best to make an appointment in advance. If the Apple stores in Italy are anything like the one's in the US, that means they are slammed...you may have to wait several hours if you don't have an appointment.
