If Opera 18 is out why is Apple updates pushing Opera 12.15?
I have Opera 18 installed and Apple Updates still keeps pushing Opera 12.15. What's up with this?
Because that is the most recent version of Opera that the developers have issued to the Mac App Store.

I am trying to figure out why my Apple ID is not working properly.
So at first i was trying to install some new apps from the app store on my iphone 4. And a message box kept popping up saying i needed to "agree to itunes terms of use" and so i would click on it so that i could agree and there was a little box that said "send to email" so i tried clicking on it and nothing would pop up, it was as if it wasnt even a button. So i tried scrolling all the way to page 52 and there was no button that said "agree" or anything like that. So just now i created a new apple ID and i deleted my old icould account and then i signed in the apple store with my new apple ID and password. So then i proceeded to install an app from the itunes store so i typed in my new ID and password and then a little message box popped up saying "This Apple ID has not yet been used in the Itunes store" so i click "review" and it says to choose my country and click next so i click United States and i scroll down but theres no "next" button. like its just blank.

This page lists all of the apps that are on your phone,and shows you how much space each is using. It shows 10 apps, and at the bottom of the list is an option to "Show all Apps." In addition, they are listed in order of the amount of storage space they are using.
If you select each individual app by clicking on the ">" beside it, the next page shows the info for just that app, including the name, version, App size, and amount of storage space used by Documents and Data associated with it. You also have the option there to Delete the App. -
Why does Apple update my apps without my permission
Last night I was syncing my iPhone. After syncing I noticed that many of my Apps had been updated!
I have several apps on my iPhone that I did not wish to update, and in typical Apple fashion is very difficult to go back to previous versions.
How can I prevent Apple from updating apps without my permission?The only way to update apps is for the user to initiate an update. Are you syncing to iCloud? At a Mac/PC via USB or wifi? If by USB, you need to go to the update tab and choose individual apps or all those that need updating. So please tell us which method of syncing you are using. Maybe there is a setting that I'm not aware of that updates automatically when syncing.
For security reasons I do not use iCloud. I am syncing with a USB cable.
I tried to uncheck all of my apps. I received a warning that any/many apps that were not checked would be deleted.
I synced using iTunes. I didn't know there was any other way.
I am using a Mac with 10.6.8 (was using 10.7.2 but switched back.) -
Can an Apple device be moved back to ios5? Why would Apple update only to take 2steps back in time, and productivity?
Good riddance. No one here works for apple, so we are not hurt by you going to a samsung. I will say after having both android OS's and iOS's in my life I will always choose the more stable platform, nothing like having to reset your device everyday for 2 years.

I upgraded my operating system to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and now my Lexmark X4875 will not print wirelessly and neither Apple, Lexmark or Belkin can work out why. Has anyone else experienced this and knows what to do? Thanks

If you were using Apple's BootCamp and received this message, quit it and open Disk Uility in your Applicaitons/Utilities folder.
Select the Macintosh HD partition on the left and select Erase and Erase Free Space > Zero option and let it complete (important) this will check the spare space for bad sectors that can cause issues formatting partitions.
Once it's completed, try creating a partiton again in BootCamp.
If that doesn't work, then hold command option r keys down while connected to a fast internet connection, Internet Recovery should load (spinning globe) and then in that Disk Utility, select your entire internal drive and click > First Aid > Repair Disk and Permissions.
reboot and attempt Bootcamp again.
If you still get a error, it might be that you have OS X data on the bottom area where BootCamp partition needs to go. This would occur if you had the drive or computer for a long time or wrote a large amount of files to the drive and nearly filling it up and then reduced some, but it left traces in the area BootCamp needs to go.
To fix this
BootCamp: "This disc can not be partitioned/impossible to move files."

The unlocked IPhone 4S models will not be available until November, Why is that? Why would Apple do that? I should be able to buy a factory unlocked Apple iPhone 4S when it comes out! I travel all over the world, and so that is why I need one like that. It is unfair to the consumer, and frankly turning away customers like myself willing to pay high dollar to Apple for their product, who can I speak with to complain about this, because I know their are factory unlocked iPhone 4S' sitting in a warehouse somewhere just waiting to be shipped, and I want one. I know why, cause Apple signed contracts with each carrier so the carrier could increase their sales making customers sign 2 year contracts, I get it, I own my own business, but the delay of releasing factory unlocked ones is just not right and I should be able to buy one without having to buy it over in the UK where it is unlocked when it comes out right away, I should be able to buy it in my own country! These business practices we practice in the US need to stop, their is a demand that needs to be met with consumers like myself who don't need subsidized iPhone's with 2 year contracts with carriers and don't mine paying full price for an unlocked one, it is unethical in a sense, forcing the customer to buy it with a carrier contract and NOT giving the customer the option to buy it full price and own it themselves, OR, making the consumer wait a month for that option to be available. THEY SHOULD BE RELEASED AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!! THAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!!!!!

But making me wait a month for an unlocked one, puts AT&T, Sprint & Verizon's interests before mine, and that is not right, for it is MY money that keeps you guys in business, so my best interests should come first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I understand your frustration, but when any form of rationing is required you have to prioritise. The number of unlocked vs packaged phones will be quite small and the number of unlocked buyers wishing to upgrade immediately will be smaller still. Against this you have the corporations sharing $billions between them.
It would, you're correct, have been fairer to release all at the same time, but fairer doesn't come into it: it's business. -
Hi, I can't figure out why I can't render on my timeline. I highlight the segment hit "Apple-R" and it gives me a weird message about "conforming HDV video...." and the bar goes as far as 60-66% and holds there forever. It never renders even partially.
Yes, I know. I have been working with HDV for some time. I am wondering why it doesn't render when it needs to.. the red and bright-green lines are above, and I've set the render settings such that ANYTHING I highlight and hit apple-R will render. But its not rendering at all.

Just downloaded OS 10.9. hoped it would fix bugs from the last version. now I can't use my Epson perfection 4870 scanner. Cehcked with Epson. They say the software is an Apple update. checked with Apple-No Go.
For now my Scanner just won't work. I'm surprised Apple would introduce new OS material -free- which compromises a good vendor like Epson.nope, Barney.
My issue is a large amount of money spent over many years on computers for my company, myself, wife and sons. Got an investment here
The company I favor, Apple sent me a message that they have a wonderful new Maverick operating system.
I send documents back and forth to friends and people to do business. Hoped maverick would fix the bugs from Leopard.
With Maverick system, my main document sender, Epson perfection 4870 and its software doesn't work anymore, or so it seems to me.
Checked with Apple, very apologetic, they can't help, maybe it will be fixed in a couple of days...

So, lot of money over the years. Plenty of smart, well compensated folks writin code at both companies. I can't keep up with tit all, they don't keep up with each other.
Bottom line Apple releases a product that doesn't work well for a lot of little people like me. Maybe some clear expanation would help re:Macjack..
I certainly don't understand all the ins and outs of a zillion dollar computer behemoth business model. Do know this though, If I ran my business like this customers would go somewhere else and some would probably sue me.

Why did apple set a 90 day lock out to apple devices? I bought my dad a new iphone 5s. He decided to give me his old iphone 4s but i cant download my purchased programs from my apple ID. I got a notification saying that the phone is associated/identified with another apple ID then automatically locked my apple id for 90days. I dont understand why they had to set a 90 day timer.

Why is apple - the most innovative company that pioneered customer experience- not making it easier to find out if IPhone is locked or unlocked? it should be simple to find this status on the phone. I have to go thru so much trouble to find out if the phone is unlocked or not. There should be a much simpler solution to this.
call them, tell them you NEED a new battery installed, and they need to tell you when they can do it. That is their job to help you! Give pushback if necessary.

Why is Apple trying to phase out the 1st generation Apple TV, but they still sell shows, and movies?
Why would Apple continue to sell movies to people who won the 1st generation Apple TV, while they are obviously trying to phase it out? That is totally unfair to the original customers! The upgraded remote only works with audio content, and not video! If they are phasing it out, than they should no longer sell products to download to it! Or when they upgrade their remote app, have it work with the item that you're still making money off of! Now, I have to turn on my computer in order to listen to music with the new upgrade, whereas I never had to do that before!

I just download the CD and am getting "unable to expand "xxxxxxx.zip" into "Music". (Error 2- No such file or directory). I then tried to open it in StuffIt Expander and it say the archive may be damaged. Could you direct me on how to make this work.
