I have the same problem & have just reinstalled the snow leopard OS but safari still just bounces a couple of times in my original user account and then quits. It does work in a new user account I set up though. What is the explanation for that ?
Below is the report generated after re-installing the OS and restarting the Mac for the first time. The report obviously explains what happened but it is double Dutch to me as I don't understand code at all.
I would be fascinated to know how this problem has been caused. Is it my fault, or it it a software fault.

On my MacBook Pro, sometimes when I click to close tabs in Safari the button will not work. I have to click on some other part of the screen and then it will. This happens in other programs like Word/Excel for changing font, etc. Solution/Suggestions?

A blank dialog box appears, with Adobe Flash Player Installer in the upper left corner. I have tried to install on Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. Nothing works. Please help.

I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 but my PC is not recognizing my CDRom and I cannot download the program. I tried copying the files on the program disc to my hard drive but get a message the installer will not work. I have the redemption code and serial numbers. Can I download the program online somewhere? If I download a trial version for instance will it allow me to enter my serial number and use it for the full program?

I cannot open my phone as the screen will not work. I have made an appointment with a technician tomorrow but is there anyway of backing my phone up to Icloud so that I do not lose any of photos etc etc?
PLug it into yrou computer to sync/back it up.
Is it set to back up to iCloud now?
Or do you have wifi backup enabled in iTunes?
Plug it in while on wifi and it will automatically back up. -

I open a document to edit in Word 2013 (which shows as Word 2008) and try to save the document as a different one. The optical mouse on my MacBook Pro operates normally. Then I make the corrections as try "Save As". The screen opens and I can navigate to the folder and press "Open". I give it a name and the summary page opens to the text lines and I try to give it a new title. The keyboard does not respond and I have to cancel. I have automatic updates on and I get no update messages from Apple of Microsoft.
Anyone else havng same issues? This misspelled word will not correct by using the old method of right clicking and getting suggested corrections. it highlights but will not correct nor can I place the cursor on the exact place in the word (between the V and the n) to insert the missing "i".Microsoft released Office for Mac 2011 update 14.4.5 for Yosemite compatibility. They are not motivated to do so for Office for Mac 2008, as it is an unsupported, end-of-life product.
Can you work through the process you described on another person's MBP with Office for Mac 2011 update 14.4.5 installed to determine if the problem you encountered is reproducible there? -
Tools/Add-ons, then the page will not 'load' symbel just keeps going round
the Add-ons page will not load, it just goes round a long long time and will not open,
WinXP, Avira AV, Firefox 6By default the "Get Add-ons" tab is selected if you open the about:addons page (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons)<br />
That page tries to load content from the Mozilla server and that can take some time especially if the Mozilla servers are busy.<br />
You can click on the Extensions tab to see the installed extensions or one of the other tabs to see other installed add-ons. -

I have an iphone 4s. A while ago it started having issues with bluetooth. All of the sudden, an audio headset I am using quits working with my iphone bluetooth. I check and my iphone doesn't see any of my bluetooth devices. I have an apple keyboard, a headset, and a speaker. Nothing shows up on my iphone but they all connect perfectly to my ipad. Then a day or so later it works again. The are all suddenly there. I just installed iOS7 and I'm still having the same problem. What is UP? Anyone have a clue what is going on?
I have this problem too. I have an iPhone 4, and this wasn't a problem when I bought the phone back in December. I think it came a month or so later and I suspect with a standard upgrade of something like itunes, or iphone software... but I can't pinpoint it to any specific update as it took me a while to notice it. For me, it does this with my work calendar which is run through Microsoft Outlook. But it's the exact same thing - and it means my calendar isn't reliable anymore.
I've made sure the time-zone settings are correct, I've updated all software, and gone through all possible settings for both my i-phone and Outlook. Nothing fixes the problem, even our tech guy at work didn't know what to do. I know it's not just my phone as the exact same thing has happened with my boss's iPhone which is an iPhone 3G, and it frustrates him to no end.
I'm really hoping someone at apple can tell us what's going on, especially since it never used to do this and there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it. If someone thinks they know what itunes update this was due to, let me know - I'll see if I can go back to that older version. -
I have the same problem. My desktop got into a big mess with permissions being altered to 'custom', locking me out of external disks as well as the computer slowing & other things going wrong.
Then safari suddenly refused to load & the only way to continue my law degree & other work was to set up another, new & empty account in which safari does work. The bizarre thing is it is using exactly the same safari app as the original account. I trashed the original non functioning safari app and re-downloaded it from the apple website but both the original & the new failed to work in the older account and both worked in the new account.
I used console as you advise and here is a screen shot of the message which says there is something wrong. But & how to sort it out ? What would have caused it ?

I can't access my icloud account and have tried everything,
I FOUND THE SOLUTION!
I had the same exact problem. I had my old apple ID connected to a school email which did not exist anymore. My ipad (ICloud) was prompting me to put the password in for that ID and I could not delete it from my ipad because the "Find My Ipad" was turned on, once again prompting for password. I called apple and they said this Apple no longer exists and is not in there system, which I knew already. After hours on the phone nobody could help me. Try this.
-Go to create a new Apple ID and use the same email address as the old apple ID which is locked in on your ipad
-Create a new password and all that, it will say it send a verification link to your email, in my case my email no longer exists so I could not do this
- I called Apple to explain this problem and I asked if they could verify it for me, which they did after I convinced them it was worth a try. The guy told me that the verification shouldnt matter and should still be able to login but he did it anyway. You can try skipping this step but if it doesn't work then go ahead.
-Go to ICloud and click on your account, the email should be grayed out but it should allow you to change that password, put in the new password which you just created.
-This allowed me to sign in to accept the new terms and conditions but it said "unable to conncet to server" so I just backed out and went to "Delete Account" and it worked!
The whole idea is to re-create your old apple ID into Apple's system and then use that new password. The guy at Apple said tons of people called about this problem and nobody could solve it. I thanked him for helping me and he thanked me for helping him. I hope this helps you!
