If someone is removed from the contact list, but the other person has them on block. Can they view the previous messages? Can they still send messages even after being removed?

To stop future emails, click 'My Stuff' at top right, select 'Preferences' , then in the next page select the 'Email Notification Preferences' tab and click all the 'No' radio buttons. Then click 'Save'.
If you already have notifications set on some threads you will still get emails from them. Click on your username at the top, then under 'Actions' in the right sidebar, select "'Manage email notifications.' This will show the threads you've set up notifications on in the past. Select those you want to stop and click the 'Remove Selected Notifications' button at bottom.

How to select multiple addresses from the contacts list to send an email?

How do I select multiple addresses from the contacts list at one time to send an email. Each time I select one, the address book closes and I have to touch the "+" key to open it back to select another address. Is there a way to select all of them at one time instead of making a group? Thanks.

Yes, once you select a person from your Contacts app, you either need to select more from the '+' button or you can tap in the 'to:' field and type in the first few letters of a contact and select from the list. Kinda bummer but gotta make do.

I currently having problems when dialling with my 4S either from the contacts list, or when using the phone through bluetooth to my in-car system. The phone becomes confused regarding what method / route of connection handsfree, normal use or speaker.

Hi each time i use my 4S phone a dial from the contact list, the phone will not select a communication mode, either normal speaker or handsfree (car), I have to force the phone into speaker mode and the back to normal mode before I can speak to or listen to anyone. The annoying aspect is the recipient of my call can answer but cannot hear me nor I them.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. This article has instructions for changing a contact's photo using a photo from iPhoto's Faces feature:
Contacts: Add or change contact pictures

Select a contact or your own card, and then double-click the picture well.
Select a picture:
Drag an image to the picture well.
Click Camera to take a picture.
If you have pictures in iPhoto, click the Faces button to use a face from iPhoto.
If the contact is linked (it’s in multiple accounts, but displayed only once in Contacts) and has multiple account pictures, click Linked.
Click Edit to edit the picture.
To zoom in and out of the picture, drag the slider. Drag the picture to change which part of it is visible.
To rotate the picture, hold down the Option key while you click and drag the picture.
To apply special effects, click the Effects Gallery button and choose an effect.
Click Done.

How to remove (delete) FB contacts from the contact list.

I'm really new to my new Mac and having a bit of trouble trying to delete all the contacts that were downloaded to my contact list from Facebook. I have tried highlighting one and deleting it that way, but, the 'Remove from Group' doesn't light up.
I tried putting them in a particular group, such as FB contacts, then deleting that group. But, they still remain in the group titles 'All on My Mac'. How do I get them deleted from that group??

To turn off Facebook contacts:
1) Go to Contacts
2) Click Group on the top
3) Uncheck All Facebook
Then you shuold just see your regular contacts.

Movies I purchase from wish list are not being removed from the wish list

I have a few movies that I bought on apple tv from my wishlist. Issue is with some movies that after I purchase, they still show on the wish list and I cant remove. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Okay that one is a simple one! Simply follow the steps below:
Select the group you would like to remove.
Press the 'delete' key on your keyboard. (Below Eject Key, Above \ key)
A pop up will appear and ask if you really want to remove that group, select 'Delete'.
Once you have completed these steps the group would be removed. If you are still having any trouble, simply reply to this post!

For your information yes there was a quit option, but this only worked as long as i was logged in. Whenever i logged out and back in again it returned.

Is there a solution to removing emoji characters from the contact list yet?

Hi Chris!
When the app new emoji 300+ was activated it placed some 400 emoji icons into my contact list! Very annoying!! When I deleted the app, it duplicated the emoji contacts in my list....there are now over 800 to delete, far too many to delete individually!
A number of users have commented on this problem!!

How can I get caller id to announce the caller from my contact list?

My old Motorolla and LG phones had a setting to speak the caller id before ringing. It took the names from the contact list or if not there would just call out the phone number and then go to the ringtone. Does the Iphone 4 not have this setting? I can't believe this "smart phone" which does just about everything would not have this function. What am I missing here?

I do have an iPhone 4S. It does not provide a talking caller ID. I too I'm surprised that such a feature is not on the iPhone. There seems to be an "app" for just about everything, but I've yet to find one that does this very simple function. There are some apps out there that do provide a form of caller ID, but they seem to require too much setting up for something so simple. I do have a work a round, but it is a poor subsitute for what we are both looking for. I have set different ringtones for some people in my contact list, so when I hear the tone, I do know who is calling. However, if you have a great deal of contacts, this method really would not work.

MAC address gets removed from the CAM 4.8 Filter List??

we got WLC and NAC integration going. I have a smartphone wi-fi client I would like to exclude from logon and posture assessment, so I add the MAC into the CAM's Filter List. It works fine for a short while and then the MAC gets deleted from the list for some reason. Here’s what CAM log show (roughly an hour between the MAC is manually added and then gets deleted):
any ideas why it's happening and how to fix this?

I looked through the NAC log again, and I did miss another piece of info, so here's how the log looks after adding the MAC in the filter list:
Administration      2010-11-01 17:53:31       38:E7:D8:0B:42:A3 added to MAC list
Administration      2010-11-01 18:51:10       38:E7:D8:0B:42:A3 removed from the MAC list
Administration      2010-11-01 18:51:10       (API removemac): Succeeded!
So, it looks like there is some process running that removes the MAC from the list every time it's added in raughly an hour?

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.
