If the contract-free iphone 6 can use my own phone card?

I want to buy a new iphone 6 plus, but I have already had a phone card and I don't know if the contract-free iphone6 for T-mobile can use my own card.
And can it be used for 4G and LTE after I come back to China?

Tthe US Apple stores are not selling unlocked phones at this time.
All the phones currently for sale are locked to carriers.

The T-mobile phone is advertised to be SIM-free.  This does NOT mean unlocked.  Unlocked iPhone 6's are not yet for sale in the US.

  • Can i use the contract free iphone 5s directly in India?

Can i use the contract free phone bought in US directly in India? Or Do i need to unlock before using it?

Nothing to do with individual bands it is the set of bands
Do you think Apple produce different models for fun ,there is no world Wide chip to cover all 4G bands.
However if you believe you are are right ,why ask and if so do go ahead it is of no consequence to anyone here what you buy
There are tens of posts asking the same question ,go look

  • T-Mobile contract-free iPhone 6 using in other countries

I recently bought a T-Mobile contract-free iPhone 6 in the States, however I am trying to use with South Korea USIM during my trip there. Is South Korean USIM (maybe SKT or Olleh) available for this phone?

" I am trying to use"
Are you telling us that your attempt to use the T-Mobile iPhone 6 in Korea was unsuccessful or, are you telling us that you plan to use the iPhone 6 in Korea, and you're asking us if it will work?  If I were you - in Korea with a T-Mobile iPhone 6 - I'd by a cheap pre-paid SIM for a local Korean carrier, and see if it works.  Regardless of the outcome, you'd have your answer.

  • Will I be able to use my Tmobile simcard for the "contract-free" iPhone 6 without activating a new number?

Since we all know that the term "contract-free" is not clear for everyone - considering so many questions appear to this related topic. Will I be able to use my old Tmobile number without activating a new one? Thanks!

WWhat do you mean by my old tmobile number? is it the number you use right now with your old phone?

  • A contract-free iPhone 6 Plus from Verizon could be used in Mexico?

Hi, I live in Mexico an I will go to WA an NY next month, I would like to buy the Contract-Free iPhone 6 Plus from Verizon, I have heard that if I buy the iPhone of Verizon it will be unlocked and it could be used in Mexico.
Is this true? What should I ask them to be sure it will work?
      Thanks!!

No. Verizon does not sell a contract-free iPhone nor one that is unlocked. T-Mobile sells the iPhone contract-free, but it will be locked to T-Mobile's service for 40 days after purchase. Then they can be asked to unlock it.

The Model 1586 / 1524 happens to be the one most compatible with China

If the phone is primarily for use in China - I would look to getting an unlocked version of that
There are contradicting theories about Sprint for international use - so I would stay away from the Sprint model in the US

  • Is the Tmobile contract free iphone 5s unlocked? Will I be able to use it with a local network in Ireland?

I'm thinking about buying an iphone 5s from an Apple store in the US in a few weeks time when I am there. If i buy it from a store is it factory unlocked or do they all come with contracts? If I bring it home to Ireland will I be able to bring it to my network provider (Vodafone) and get a new sim card put in so I can use it everyday in Ireland?
If I buy it in America, can it only be used in America or does it even make a difference, once it's unlocked? Will I be able to use it and all features fully?
On the apple website it says you can buy a Tmobile contract free iphone 5s. Is this the same as unlocked?
Thanks in advance for any answers and help.

"If you buy iPhone for T-Mobile, it will arrive with a nano-SIM card already installed that you can activate by visiting an Apple Retail Store or a T-Mobile store or by calling T-Mobile. When you travel internationally, you can use a nano-SIM card for iPhone 5s from a local GSM carrier. For details on LTE support, see www.apple.com/iphone/LTE."
If you buy it from the Apple Store you can activate it when you buy it.

Also, Verizon is not a GSM Network and does not use SIM cards from my understanding.
Your understanding is a bit out of date. Verizon is a CDMA/LTE carrier. All Verizon phones that work on the 4G LTE network, which would exclude all but the most basic of phones, use SIM cards. All Verizon iPhones since the 4S have a SIM slot (though the one on the 4S was only used for global roaming).

  • Is Tmobile contract free iPhone 6 locked to Tmobile network? Can it be used internationally with other carriers?

If I buy a Tmobile contract free iPhone 6 in apple store, does that mean it is locked and can only use Tmobile network? Can it be used internationally with other carriers? I travel a lot and do not want to find out my phone does not work the moment I insert a local carrier sim card.

"The iPhone 6 will come unlocked as long as customers pay full price," a T-Mobile representative said. "If customers choose to take advantage of T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan it will be locked until the device is fully paid off. This policy applies at both T-Mobile and Apple stores."

What is the name of the app that I can use to make free calls from iPhone to iPhone ?

    You mean Whatsapp messanger?
WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS.
    NO calls.
FaceTime, Skype and Viber are the most popular. (at least here in Greece)

  • I bought att-locked but contract-free iPhone 4 from the Apple Store in the mall

Over 9 months ago i bought att-locked but contract-free iPhone 4 from the Apple Store in the mall.
Now i live in Costa Rica so my question is can it be unlocked?

You CANNOT legitmately unlock the AT&T iphone at all.
AT&T does NOT unlocl any iphones at all.
They clearly state this on their website.
"iPhone cannot be unlocked, even if you are out of contract."
