  • AmAdmin user doesnt have sufficient access

    Hi,
Can someone please tell where things would have gone wrong for me to get the problem that I have mentioned below.
I am using Access Manager of JES 2005Q4. After installation I logged in as amadmin user and added services, users and some of the other activites that the amadmin user can do. All of a sudden I have started getting that the amadmin user doesnt have sufficient access to do any changes in the Access Manager. Wheneven I try to create something new or try to edit any existing data I get "User does not have sufficient access".
The other insteresting thing is that I am able to log on into the Directory Server console using cn=Directory Manager user and create users which can be viewed on the Access Manager but no changes could be made from AM. I am also not able to change the password or edit the user information when I log through that user as well.
The strange part I have deployed an application which uses the AMConfig.properties file of the AM for its login module and even through that application I am able to change the password of a particular user.
My worry is that what could have happened to the Access Manager and how can I solve it and also to avoid this happening again? Can someone please shed some light on this becasue I am totally stuck and I am not able to proceed in anyways to solve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Soma.

    Hi Everyone
I installed JES 2005 Q4 on Solaris 10 x86 with schema 2 and Access Manager 7. The Directory Tree is as follows:
    Sol1.nucleussoftware.com:389
    dc=nucleussoftware,dc=com (34 acis)
    DSAME Users
    Internet
    People
    Groups
    Client Data
    services
    nucleussoftware.com
    People
    Groups
    o=Netscape Root (3 acis)
    cn=Schema (6 acis)
    cn=monitor (5 acis)
    cn=config (4 acis)
Organization DN when I ran "configutil" after running comm_dssetup.pl, was specified o=nucleussoftware,dc=nucleussoftware,dc=com
This is fresh installation and not any migration.
Now I create user from Access Manager, http://sol1.nucleussoftware.com/amserver
There are two organizations 1. Nucleussoftware and 2. Nucleussoftware->nucleussoftware.com
So I have two locations to create users in People.
When I create user from Access Manager and try to login into WebMail, I get Login Failed.
But when I open "startconsole" or "mpsconsole" and open Messaging Server Console and in new user's property, Account Attribute, I mark the check box, and now try to login into WebMail, I get error message, "Mailbox is on a different server".
I am missing one attribute that I used to get with schema 1 on iPlanet 5.2 for any user, Mail Server Address.
Please tell me the exact method of creating a user for Messaging.
    Regards
    Amit Bist

  • How do I access the End User Licensing Agreement? I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I need to launch Adobe Reader, accept and close and reopen. Trouble is I can't get to an icon for file to launch. I am working on a Mac and have installed Mac

I am using a Mac and have installed Adobe Reader for Mac, latest version. I cannot access the End User Licensing Agreement. I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I must launch Adobe, check that I agree, close and reopen. The problem is I can't find any way to launch Adobe because it appears nowhere on my launch pad, nor in my document files or on the control panel. Because of this, I cannot print bank statements nor can I get into my insurance companies billing department to make a payment. HELP!

How about in your Applications folder?

I have installed adobe reader onto my Mac but when I open up an adobe pdf it tells me that i need to accept the end user license agreement, quite, and then open up a new browser but i have never seen the end user license agreement. What should I do in order to accept the end user license agreement even though it never pops up when i install adobe reader?

Make sure Readr is closed. Go to the Applications form, look for the Adobe Reader icon, double click on it, and follow the lead. Restart Reader when finished.

I have a MAC and when I try to use Adobe Reader, I get a pop up telling me to lauch ADobe Reader and accept the end user license agreement, but when I do that, there is no agreement to acknowledge.   What should I do?

I have the same problem as Pam101. I am on OS X 10.9 and Safari 7 (actually on 2 iMacs). The one iMac is fine but the other with the same versions and settings Adobe Reader will not work. What happens is the Adobe Reader icon appears on the dock, bounces once and that's it. When trying to open a .pdf file from a website a new tab is opened on Safari, the background is black and there is a pop up message (black test on a white background) that reads: "Adobe PDF Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement." This is all very well but if Adobe Reader will not launch how on earth is it possible to accept the End User License Agreement terms? Very, very annoying, especially since it all works just fine if I launch a .pdf file from a website using Chrome. What is going on here and who do I talk to in order to fix this problem - Apple or Adobe?

i have downloaded adobe reader but it still says i need to accept the end user license agreement, i have searched everywhere and i have no idea how to "accept" this agreement

yes i have for sure launched it this is what it looks like at the bottom of my computer, it says by downloading adobe you already agree to the license agreement but I've tried googling, "how to accept the end users license agreement" and it brings me to the agreement but there is no link or button to press on in order to accept it

  • Keep getting a message that I have to accept the End User License Agreement. How can I solve this ?

Keep getting a message that I have to accept the End User License Agreement.
Where can I find this License ?

The full EULA is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/reader/index.html
Are you accepting the dialog? If you can't, or the buttons don't do anything, see here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/cant-click-accept-acrobat-reader.html

  • I have a Mac OS 10.7.5 and downloaded Adobe Reader, accepted the end user license, and the screen is

Download and install AppZapper (it's a free trial)
Launch AppZapper and drag the Reader app from yoru applications folder to the AppZapper window.
"Zap" it to the trash with all files in the window.
    Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plugins
Trash the AdovePDFViewer.plugin file and the AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin file.
    Go to: Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Trash the Reader folder (the whole thing)
    Empty the trash
Download the offline installer and reinstall Reader
Double click the app in your Applications folder and accept the agreement.
    Reader should work after that.

  • Now that we have Java - who helps the end users?

Now that Oracle provides the JRE, we get to an interesting question: where do the non-technical people go for help with JRE installs and configurations?
At first blush, I'd almost feel we need a separate forum to help keep them in a 'friendly' place. We don't wanna be "Internet Help Desk" as depicted by "Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie" (http://www.deadtroll.com/) comedy group (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LLTsSnGWMI)
Got one over in "Database - Install" (Re: java problem and I'm thinking this is going to be the tip of the iceberg. The info at http://www.java.com/en/download/help/index.xml will be useful

Looks like another Jive implementation, but I don't think anyone here wants to think about an OTN forums upgrade anytime soon.I had totally forgotten that Sun had their own forums - also using Jive - to handle Sun products. That is the one presented.
But the real issue that caused my question: Where do the end users go who want help on the Sun Java download that is required for so many applets?
And the answer seems to be the JRE forum at http://forums.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=32
Don't know where you are coming from with the 'upgrade to OTN' comment. I do not think anyone is suggesting an upgrade. My 'fantastic' was a response to the answer to my original question. My 'wow' was a response to the organization and the detail in that community. It's changed since the last time I looked, which was quite some time ago.

  • Forms application not opening for the end user.

I have an Oracle Form that works fine when I copy the url into the browser and user the login credentials of the schema owner. But when I use the credentials of the end user, it does not open the form. I receive no error messages.
To troubleshoot, I opened the form in Forms Builder, log in as the end user and Compile, but I get no error messages.
I also took a call to a server-side procedure that is in the Form, and ran it in SQL Developer, once again while logged in as the end user, and it ran successfully.
I’m not sure what could be wrong. Any suggestions on how to debug this?

  • How can I make a top layer "transparent" to the end-user?

    Hi guys,
    Got a quick question.
I'm working on a custom card builder and was wondering if there was any way I could keep an uploaded image editable to the end user. The end-user will be able to choose what template they'd like to frame the image with. The problem is, even with transparency that chosen frame acts as a layer, and once the uploaded image has been placed onto the staging area, the end-user loosing the ability to edit/scale/skew that image. I'd like them to be able to still do that even with the template above their image.
Can anybody think of a solution to this? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

You'd literally need to chop each frame up. To keep things reasonable to update you can use Photoshop to slice the graphics, saving them to external PNGs to import in. If a frame has 4 edges, you cut out the 4 sides, import into Flash and reassemble them inside a single Sprite or MovieClip. Any area inside that sprite that has no actual objects will be true transparency and won't invoke a click action.
Keep in mind, hitboxes are rectangular. If you have an oval frame where the edges require you to create bitmaps with transparency on their edges, that will be clickable. If you don't immediately understand what I mean by that just draw a circle in flash, convert to clip. Now draw your cursor around what you consider the 'top' portion of that frame and notice how much of the inner fill you also capture at the same time. That will all be clickable. So the user may "see" their picture behind the frame but when they click they accidentally get the frame instead.
Picture worth a thousand words (random net image):
If you cut this oval frame into 4 pieces (this being the top obviously), the transparent area you see in the frame will need to be part of the hitarea for the frame. That can be just as confusing to customers in this situation. If most of your frames have little to no transparency (very squared up) then it won't be a problem. Although just like the problem you're having now, any bitmap transparency WILL be clickable even if you cut the sides up. The center where there is no bitmap can be clicked through to mess with the picture behind the frame.
This sort of makes the transparency detection a bit more desirable.

  • I am getting this response when I am trying to open a file: Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser."  What do I do?

I am getting this response when I am trying to open a file: Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.”  What do I do?  I have opened this up in the past without a problem.

    Back up all data.
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • How to view PDF documents because say you must launch adobe reader and accept the end user license

I have a question about to display the PDF documents, could you tell me how can I display it?, I have this message that say before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser

I've got the same issue and I want to use Preview to read pdfs on Safari. At some point I had Acrobat Reader installed, but deleted it and everything associated with it. However no matter what, I get: "Before launching pdf documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the end user license agreement, then quit and relaunch the browser."
This means I am forced to use Reader, when I don't want to. There seems no way to default to Preview to read pdfs on Safari, even after deleting Adobe Reader completely.
Anyone have a clue how to fix this?
