Lots of problems right now due to Apple server issues.
Apple is having server problems affecting App Store, iTunes, iCloud, etc…
Check the Apple Service Status(***) page… http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/
Wait for all systems green. This is always a good idea if you have problems with anything Apple.
Here is what Apple message says…
Multiple Store Services - All users are affected
Customers may be unable to make purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store.
iCloud Mail - All users were affected
Users may have been unable to access iCloud mail.
iCloud Account & Sign In - All users were affected
Users may have been unable to sign in.
This means no downloads, updates, iCloud and other issues. You may get pop-up windows asking you for password for iCloud, etc…
Wait, try again after all green on status page.

Ok, if you are having firmware problems, like you can do nothing to your mp3 (in my case Zen Vision: M) or you're stuck in recovery mode because you erased your firmware and now you pc isn't recognizing your mp3 and you can't upgrade you firmware, don't worry, I got trought all of it and my Zen is now working =D I had to do a lot of things in order not to loose my mp3, and one of those things was reinstalling my windows xp =/... took me 2 or 3 days to install everything again and put the whole pc in order, but once it was finally done, I was able to upgrade my firmware, so if you are having this kind of issue, you can reinstall you operational system and it'll go back, at last came back with me But before reinstalling it, here a few things you can do: try to reinstall you USB drives, and when I say reinstall I really meant it! Fully unnistall it, get your motherboard cd drive and install it again, before downloading any upgrade for your USB, try it as it comes from the cd, if it doesn't work, then upgrade your USB drive. Since I had to reinstall everything from my computer, that includes that I had to reinstall SP and SP2, so if reinstalling USB doesn't work, you can also unnistall SP and SP2 and see if that can work, although is pretty hard and annoying to do it, if you really like you MP3 and if you don't want to waste more money on it, I highly advise you to do it. So after you reinstall SP, SP2 and USB and your mp3 is still coming up with firmware error, DON'T WORRY! Go to creative.com, look for support, download, and check for firmware download, they have firmware upgrades, mine goes for the name of Creative ZEN Vision:M 30 GB Firmware .62.02, at http://us.creative.com/support/downl...type=4&x=8&y=9 If still none of these settings worked for you, then you can reinstall your operational system, having in mind that althought it was very simple for me (yeah, I know something about computer and I've reinstalled my XP a ton of times), it can get some people into trouble and it can damage your HD if you have no clue on what you're doing. If that's your case, call someone you trust to do it. You can also find some tutorials at the internet teaching you on how to do it. My player is currently stuck in recovery mode. My player isn't supported by the mp3 recovery tool offered on this site. I have been thru 3 micros because of the jack problem. On my 4th episode I finally had a friend that works in computer welding fix the jack for me. It has worked flawlessly for .5 years now until I had this recovery mode freeze happen. I was hoping I would be able to get it going thru the help of Creative or some of the Gurus on this site. Well, I have given up. So, I thought I would go and check out some of the players similar to mine and order a new one. Well I was going to check out a 6 Gig player and they want $250 for it. The new 80 Gig Zune is $250. Not to bring up another player but to me, that is a no brainer. I don't really have any use for a player that big but for the money and what you get compared to what they are offering here, Creative isn't leaving me too much choice. My wife still has a Micro Photo but I guess it will be time for me to step up and try something different. I really like staying loyal, but Creative isn't really giving me any competitive choices to do so. I would like to say thanks to all the nice people on this site. Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

If you are having battery problems, this may help.

This is how to calibrate the battery.
1. With the battery at a half-full charge or less, connect the device to a power source.
2. After the battery icon appears green, disconnect the device from the power source.
3. On the Home screen, select settings, and then press the center button.
4. Select general, and then press the center button.
5. Select backlight, and then press the center button to toggle through the settings until the backlight is set to always on.
6. Select brightness, and then adjust the brightness to its highest level.
7. Return to the first settings menu, and then click playback.
8. Turn energy saver off
9. Return to the main menu.
10. Select shuffle songs.
11. Make sure it starts to play the songs.
12. Set the device aside and let it play untill it turns off.
13. Once the device turns off, try to turn the device on.
Note If the device turns back on, repeat the process. Wait until it turns off again, and then try to turn it on. Repeat this step until the device no longer turns on.
12. When the device no longer turns on, connect it to a power source.
13. Fully charge the device until the battery icon appears green.
Note Remember to set backlight and brightness to their previous settings.

Sorry, this is the step I was saying is bad advice. Running the device completely down until it shuts off automatically is indeed good advice. Trying to keep powering it back on until will do so no longer is the "bad" step. This is defintely not laid out in the Apple instructions. If you keep trying to turn it off, you will put the Li-Ion into a "deep discharge" state, which has a very definite, proven negative impact on battery life. Li-Ions perform best when they are partially disacharged and recharged multiple times. Trying to run them down to "empty" (which is what the abovstep does) ruins them. In fact, any device using Li-Ions has built-in circuitry designed to prevent this from happening. That's why you're able to turn the iPod back on after you run it all the way. And that's why the circuitry tries to shut it right back off.

No Audio on Main Menu - Please post if you are having this issue....

Howdy...
I am having trouble getting any audio on the main menu. I can drag and drop audio files (non-DRM) to all my menus, and it shows up in the inspector, but when I preview or burn a disc, the main menu has no audio. All of the sub-menus have the audio just fine, but not the main.
I'm currently using the 'Stretch' theme...
Again, all sub menus work just fine, but the same audio will not play on the main menu.
Does anyone have a solution?

I've stumbled onto the reason for this problem. It's because you unintentionally muted your audio for this menu. To resolve it do the following:
1. Open the menu where you are having audio problems
2. Click on the drop zone icon to open the drop zones
3. Move the music (the iTunes music notes) that you've placed here out of the menu box
4. By getting the music icon out of the way, you will reveal a tiny black sound/audio icon
5. If you strain your eyes and look real close you will see that there are no sound waves coming out of the sound icon
6. Click on the icon and tiny black sound waves will appear
7. You have now "unmuted" your menu
8. Drop your music selection back into the menu drop zone
9. You now have sound!

If you're having hinge problems with your Lenovo g570 (Possibly others)

My laptop would make this little popping sounds whenever I would open and close it and it sounded almost like plastic snapping together. Well anyways today I noticed I was missing a screw! On the bottom side of the laptop right next to the hinge that made the noise. I surprisingly found it and put it back in its place an it no longer makes that sound! But if any of you are having that problem I would reccommend tightening the screw and replacing it if your's is missing also.
Just came here to post this, because I was scared my hinge was about to break!

My husband bought me a new Ipod Video in September and after upgrading to Itunes 7 I have had nothing but problems and issues. I was so close to selling the Ipod and buying a Zune.
My IPOD wasn't being recognized by Itunes and when it was being recognized it needed to be restored or was corrupt. I tried everything on this discussion board and was on my last effort when my husband called Itunes support. The problem was my printer that is also connected with a USB port. Once I disconnected the printer - the Ipod worked!!! So if you are having issues try disconnecting everything else that is connected to your computer through a USB cable!
I can't believe it was something so SIMPLE!!!

Now, do you have to disconnect your printer everytime that you want to use it? If so, this is just a temporary fix and that's not something that you should have to do with regularity.
It's GLARING, the amount of people who are having issues with this software. Is APPLE listening to its customers? I'm to the point where I'm about to NOT recommend an I-Pod to anyone that asks. If they do, that's what I'm recommending. I'll also steer them to this website so that they can see with their own eyes, the problems that everyone is having.
This is totally ridiculous. I've been trying for THREE weeks to get my POS I-Pod Shuffle to download songs through I-Tunes 7.0. It's clear to me that these designers of this software haven't got a clue.

Please correct your porfile: iPhone 4 do not have IOS 6.1.4.
The usual troubleshooting steps are, also remember to test it after every step:
1. Restart
2. Reset
3. Restore from backup
4. Restore as new.
If no joy, make an Appointment with the Apple genius and have them evaluate

I'm trying to launch the Administration Workset for GPs, to release objects from the "Life and Work Events" GPs from ESS, assigned GP Administrator to user and get the error:

Also tried adding virtually all GP and CAF roles to used with no luck, any ideas??

try to add a role called CAFUIADMIN and provide your user with this role. Otherwise all you need is the GP Adminstrator role.

I TOOK MY FIRST PHONE BACK TO THE STORE BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS DEFECTIVE BUT THEN MY REPLACEMENT DID THE SAME THING. GLOBAL MODE IS WHAT THE PHONE IS SET TO USE OUT OF THE BOX. I SWITCHED IT TO LTE/CDMA AND NOW IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY. AWESOME

I'm glad you had luck with this. I have the same issue, and i've replaced the droid turbo 4 times. I've tried it on 4 or 5 different wifi networks and it doesn't give me any type of speed at all.
