If you drop your ipod in the pool will the cameras ever work again

I droped my iPod touch 4g in the pool and put it in rice. It works again but the cameras dont. I just was wondering if my cameras are able to be fixed?

If the iPod is now dry and if yo have the problem after restoring to factory settings/new iPod then there is hardware damage.
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB one and $99 for the others. They do not fix yours.

  • What to do if you drop your Ipod and the top half of the screen is off and the ipod will no longer recognize your figure when you touch the screen

So I dropped my Ipod on the floor and the top half of the Ipod came off and the screen will not recognize my figure when I try to swipe it to unlock the screen what do I do. But keep in mind that I have no money to fix it so how do I get it to work again?

Likely because the drop broke something like the digitizer.
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • What happens when you take your iPod into the apple store for battery replacement?

I am taking mine in tomorrow. How do they decide if your battery is bad enough to get the iPod/battery replaced? What do they do with your iPod? Do they mess with the apps and data?? Do they search your history to see what you've done on it? HELP!

By reading the following, Apple exchanges your iPod for a refurbished (includes new battery) iPod. Data is no preserved/restore to the replacement
Apple - Support - iPod - Service FAQ
Will the data on my iPod be preserved?
No. You will receive a replacement iPod that will not contain any of your data, songs, or after-market personalizations. Before you submit your iPod for service, it is your responsibility to keep a separate backup copy of the data stored on your iPod and reinstall that data.
Attention iPod touch customers: Before obtaining service, it is important to back up your data using iCloud or iTunes. Apple is not responsible for the loss of information while servicing your iPod touch and does not offer any data transfer service.
Following service your replacement iPod touch may have a newer operating system (iOS) version and you will need to restore your data using the method used to back it up (iCloud or iTunes). As a result, you may also need to update your App Store applications to ensure compatibility with the newer iOS. If you experience a problem with an application purchased from the App Store, check iTunes to see if an update is available or contact the application vendor directly.
However, I have heard in this forum that sometimes Apple will just replace the battery.
If you are concerned I would do one fine sync/backup and then go to Settings>General>Reset>Ease aall content and settings.

  • Can you connect your ipod to the tv like a tvo?

can you just connect your ipod to your tv and record the shows that are on tv?

No, not unless you can find a TV which will output in an iPod compatible format, a USB interface built in, and some sort of firmware to emulate iTunes and/or provide control of the iPod as a HD storage device.

  • If you reset your ipod on the settings do you lose evertything?

If you cant get on Wifi and you reset everything on your ipod do you lose everything on there?

It dpends upon which reset you do. From the manual.
    Reset
You can reset the word dictionary, network settings, home screen layout, and location warnings.
You can also erase all of your content and settings.
Erase all content and settings:  Go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and
    Settings.
After confirming that you want to reset iPod touch, all content, personal information, and settings
are removed. It cannot be used until it’s set up again.
Reset all settings Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts
and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
Reset network settings Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.
When you reset network settings, your list of previously used networks and
VPN settings not installed by a configuration profile are removed. Wi-Fi is
turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re
on. The Wi-Fi and “Ask to Join Networks” settings are left turned on.
To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, go to Settings >
General > Profile, then select the profile and tap Remove. This also removes
other settings and accounts provided by the profile.
Reset the keyboard dictionary Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
You add words to the keyboard dictionary by rejecting words iPod touch
suggests as you type. Tap a word to reject the correction and add the word
to the keyboard dictionary. Resetting the keyboard dictionary erases all
    words you’ve added.
Reset the Home screen layout Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Home Screen Layout.
Reset location warnings Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Location Warnings.
Location warnings are requests made by apps to use Location Services.
iPod touch presents a location warning for an app the first time the app
makes a request to use Location Services. If you tap Cancel in response, the
request isn’t presented again. To reset location warnings so that you get a
request for each app, tap Reset Location Warnings.
I recommend that your download the manual

  • If you put your iPod in the washing machine, there is still hope!!!

Hi washed my ipod (accidentally, of course) and I let it dry for almost 3 weeks... AND IT STILL WORKS!!! The secret? LET IT DRY!!!! do NOT try to turn it on... If you try to turn it on right away, you will burn the circuits and your iPod will be ruined! I just hope this is usefull to someone, Good Luck!!!

You can probably wait a couple of weeks to see if it drys up.. I don't think Apple can repare if for free but you can send it in and they will fix it for you but you will get a big fat bill!!! lol

  • I dropped my ipod in the pool and put it in rice for three days and now the screen stays white. what is the cheapest way to fix my ipod?

i dropped my ipod in the pool and put it in rice for three days and the screen just stays white now. what is the cheapest way to fix thiss?

There are companies that specialize in data retrieval but it's costly (probably cheaper to buy a new iPod) and more than likely as Allan said, your circuits are probably damaged beyond all hope of retrieving anything. It's worth calling Apple you maybe able to get a discount or a refurbished iPod. Can't hurt to ask, Good luck. (And in the future... no texting in the john.) Sorry, couldn't resist it.
