  • How can you screen your iPad on a keynote presentation? Just like Apple did in last years WWDC when they demo iOS 5 how do they do that

How can you screen your iPad on a Keynote presentation just like Apple?
Like when they had last years WWDC when they demoed iOS 5 on the iPod Touch 4G
Can you do that with an iPad 2?

Mirroring refers to normal operation of the iPad, where you can see the Home screen on your external display, as well as when setting up a slide show, et cetera.  You may not need to mirror the iPad's display for presentations (but the iPad 2 does mirror).  At least for slide shows and videos, the iPad 2's screen does not show the presentation when an AV cable is connected, it only appears on the external screen.
The alternative I mentioned about using the Apple TV box with AirPlay is probably easier to do, except you need the Apple TV box to interface to your external display.  One problem with an AV adapter, is that the weight of its cable tends to pull the connector out of the iPad as you are holding it.

  • Can you connect your Ipad to a projector using Bluetooth

Can you connect your Ipad to a projector using Bluetooth, if so what projectors, My situation is that I want to connect my Ipad3 wireless to a projector where there is no wifi available so the apple TV and airplay won't work.

    No.
If you have an Apple TV, get an Apple Airport Express wireless router which is small enough to fit on your pocket. You can set up a wireless network without having to have internet for your iPad and Apple TV to be connected to.
    Or use a wired connection.

You may have to do this several times.
Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.

  • How do you charge your iPads in the classroom?

How do you charge your iPads in the classroom? Is this convenient?

What's the difference between and educator and a teacher?  I always called my teachers "Teacher" or "Teach".
Most use a large cart that hold about a dozen iPads and charge them simultaneously.

  • HT5278 Does your games and apps get wiped when you upgrade your iPad to the IOS 5.1.1

Hi I would like to know that if you upgrade your IPAD 2 to IOS 5.1.1 will all the stuff you have on your IPAD get wiped

For the sake of updating, it doesn't matter too much - but you can find it on the iPad through Settings -> About - Version. If your current version is 4.x or older, you'll have to do it through iTunes... but even if you have a newer version, if you want to be extra sure that you'll keep your data then do it through iTunes (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623) and make sure to let iTunes fully back-up your iPad before you start the update.

  • If you restore your ipad, does all your data get deleted?

If you restore your ipad, does all your data get deleted?

This could solve the "other" problem that you are experiencing right now. You really have nothing to lose by trying.
Backup the iPad, restore to factory settings and then restore from the backup after you restore to factory settings to recover everything. You will also have to sync with iTunes in order to get your apps, music, etc back onto the device after restoring from the backup.
That may totally solve the problem. But, on the other hand, as you mentioned, if the backup itself is the culprit - meaning that the backup is corrupt - when you restore from that backup, you could be right back where you started.
Sometimes, when the "other" cannot be fixed any other way, you do have to restore to factory settings and NOT restore from the backup. Obviously you will lose all data when you do this, but you can still sync your iTunes content back to the iPad and you will not lose any music, apps, books and so on, as long as they are in iTunes on your computer.
Most purchased content can be downloaded again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID and as long as the content is still available in the store in which you bought it (Music in iTunes, apps in the App Store ...)
If that does not answer your question, just post again and I will do what I can to help you further.

  • If you created your database manually, ensure that the catexp.sql or catalo

i am using express edition 11g express r2
i wanted to export and import a schema
    22-2 Oracle Database Utilities
If you created your database manually, ensure that the catexp.sql or
catalog.sql script has been run. If you created your database using the
Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA), it is not necessary to run these scripts.
in my case i install the free express edition, and it installed every thing.
so how can i verify that catexp.sql or catalog.sql are required or not.
    for export and import.
    yours sincerely

    Hi,
Out of curiosity Just went through the script in question
Many objects are created when you run catexp.sql, so you can open catexp.sql(<oracle_home>\server\rdbms\admin) file and verify the objects in the scripts are already available in your database if its available the script has already been run.
You can find an insert statement at the end of the above script with "EXPORT_VIEW_VERSION', Querying the database_property table gives you EXPORT_VIEW_VERSION
    {code}
    select * from database_properties where PROPERTY_NAME = 'EXPORT_VIEWS_VERSION'
    {code}
Don't know yet some other ways to verify ;)

  • How do you name your iPad 2?

How do you name your iPad 2?

Presuming you're referring to deciding on a name, assemble all family members who need to be consulted on this important decision. Then put forward various names (snowball, fluffy, hairy thunderer, cosmic muffin) until you find one that everyone is comfortable with. Then follow Dave's instructions (above).

  • HT1414 If you lost your ipad and your years worth of insurance is not over yet can they send you a new ipad for free?

If you lost your ipad and your years worth of insurance is not over yet can they send you a new ipad for free?

No. Sorry. That year's worth of 'insurance' (which I'm presuming you mean the warranty) only covers manufacturer's defects. Theft is not an manufacturer's defect.

  • When you plug your ipad into your computer is it meant to charge?

When you plug your ipad into your computer is it meant to charge ?

    Not necessarily...
    iPad Charging
"The fastest way to charge your iPad is with the included USB Power Adapter.
iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter.
When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge, but only when it's in sleep mode.
Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain."

how do you get your ring/text tones that were purchased back on your phone

    Hey there oops31,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to know how to get tones that you’ve previously purchased on your iPhone 4s. The article linked below outlines the options for downloading past purchases and includes information about syncing tones from iTunes to your iOS device.
Download past purchases - Apple Support
    Audiobooks, ringtones, and tones
If you made a backup of these items on your Mac or PC, you can sync the items to your iOS device. You can't download these items again from iTunes in the Cloud.
