Yes. Apple will not support you in anyway if you encounter a problem with the device. Like IIIaass said, it voids the warranty, violates the licence agreement. Also, you could encounter a "re-spring loop" where your deivce continues to restart the SpringBoard. Also, your device will be slower and will not last as long as a device running iOS, and the reason for this is when Apple made the OS, it did not push it to what the device can handle, but when jail broken, you push it to the limit. Also, the battery will drain way faster and you will find yourself at the outlet more often. Also, to answer your question about bricking, it isn't likely unless your running iOS 5.1. There is no untethered jailbreak for it, therefore you have to use a computer everytime you turn the device totally off. When on a tethered jailbreak, if the exploit fails (which it does if you don't enter DFU mode correctly), you have to restore the device using iTunes, and sometimes iTunes cannot restore. So, I strongly suggest you DO NOT jailbreak. Apple has these restriction for a reason. Oh, I will also add that when your iOS device is jail broken, hackers can remotley log in, and control your device. Also, your installing third-party software that hasn't been vetted by Apple, so you don't know if your downloading malicious software that can crash your iPod and worse. So I really, really don't think you should do it, because if somethings goes wrong, don't come here, or to Apple.

There are plenty of people who have contracts for phones that got a single upgrade if they were lucky. N95 has already had more than that (3?) with the last one dated 5 months ago. The cell phones that get updated are usually not 6 months between updates so every day that passes is like a nail in the coffin. So Nokia has moved on to N95 8GB. Contract has nothing to do with getting Nokia to upgrade firmware however badly it may be needed, contract is about making money for the phone company. The N95 8GB can just as well be called an N95 "i" version, they just didn't name it that. that means N95 "Classic" very likely "left in the dust" as a previous post articulately stated. Hi guys, i just wanna know if what are the chances on installing a windows 8 pro on mac?
I just bought a CD of windows 8 pro. Im planning to use it on my mac because i am currently studying a software which is applicable on windows such as Visual Studio 2008, 2010 or 2012.
I am planning to use bootcamp for windows 8 pro, i dont like to use parallels or vm.
and i heard about bootcamp doesnt support windows 8, is that true?
If it is true, so does it means it is not possible to use windows 8 using bootcamp?
Am i right that bootcamp offers the drivers or something?
Or can i just update the drivers for windows manually, u know the thing which u can found it on control panel on windows.

Unfortunately, your chances of recovery are poor, at best. Most thieves know to turn an iPhone off, then force it into recovery mode & restore it. This defeats Find My Phone, making recovery almost impossible. Unless the police catch the thief, & match the IMEI number, doubtful you'll ever see the phone again.

Hey there, over the next few sentences you'll probably be thinking I'm a hobo or something but whatever. I found an iPhone on the footpath today and it was kinda wet from inside. When I got it home and took it apart to see how much water was inside, there wasn't that much, a bit damp though. My dad dried it off with a blow dryer (Yeah I know, he isn't great with electronics) and cracked the screen right between the middle trying to open it up. I chargered it a little and I could faintly see the Apple logo. The screen went black shortly after and I couldn't do anything. Sometimes I can see something that looks like a USB plug but it was hard to tell. Any of the computers with iTunes in my house don't recognize the phone. The screen might turn into the Matrix's code (you know, all the green numbers lined up?) if you looked at it from real far and had sunglasses on.
I think it's an Iphone 3G, so what are the chances of this thing actually working? Is it completely busted, would it be worth taking it to get repaired, selling it for spare parts or just throwing the thing away?

Okay basically my MacBook Pro won't turn on. It has a spinning loading sign and a bar that won't complete at the bottom. Rang apple said take it into the apple shop and they will try target disk. What is that exactly and what are the chances my photos and files can be recovered. I would go to the shop but I'm on vacation. Help would be appreciated thanks.

What are the chances that an actual timestamp will be added to the Canon XF200 ?

I shoot depositions for a living and a timestamp is required sometimes. I upgraded to the XF200 from the XHA1s. the XHA1s had a timestamp so i assumed the XF200 would as well. I saw inthe manual that the time and date could be displayed so I bought the camera. you have to manually turn off all displays except the date and time. This works as long as you dont have to change your aperture, wb, or other settings. When you change any of these the display pops up and is also recorded. I'm just wondering why Canon would get rid of the timestamp. I asked if they could add it using a firmware update but all they said was that enough people need to ask for it. What is enough?

Very very good, it's all sealed and only a large electrical surge or dropping it while running could do some damage.
Take it and use a SATA to USB adapter you can get online for $12-$40 and hook it right up to the new Mac and use Setup Assistant or Migration Assistant to transfer files.
OR you can access the drive directly and on a PC with MacDrive installed.
However the Mac itself is likley a goner.

I would like to change my regular email service provider and instead use only my new gmail address. My apple id is the same as my regular soon to be replaced email address. I understand that in the past you could not change your apple id but you could change the email address associated with the apple id. However now it seems that you can change your apple id and by this I dont mean getting a new one, I simply mean editing the old one and infact Apple encourages people to make sure that their Apple id and email address are the same. So, my questions is considering the fact that I own multiple Apple devices (iPhone, iMac and iPad), what will the implications be of doing this and what do I need to consider before I change my Apple id to my new Gmail address? I know for example that apps are apparently permanently associated with a single Apple id so I guess I will have to redownload and pay for them. But what do I need to do on my iPhone, iMac and iPad to make sure that iMessage, iCloud etc is unaffected and continue to work properly. I guess for a start I need to tell everyone who communicates with me via iMessage that they have to use a new Apple id for example. I am worried that a change like this will cause mayhem among my devices and I'll regret it. Right now I have kept my old Apple id and simply added an alternate email address to my account that being my new Gmail address. Maybe its simpler to keep it this way. In your experience what are the most common errors in binding files when deploying?

As the title suggest I'm interested in discussing the most common errors in binding files when deploying.
Reason for this is that I'm currently working on a Powershell script that can parse a binding file and create a reader friendly report (rtf format) with various information.
But the main purpose for this script is to find common errors in the binding file used. And so far these are the ones I've thought of:
- Tracking enabled for either services or the pipelines they are using (if it's a binding meant for Prod).
- Orchestrations logical ports not having any ports bound to them.
- URI containing certain words that's not ok. For example if a binding meant for Prod contains the word "test" anywhere in the URI then that should be reported in the created rtf report. This also applies vice versa.
So now I need your help with coming up with more ideas on common errors that need to be looked after and reported on if found!
Additional features the report should contain:
- Listing the details of each orchestration, send port, receive port along with their associated receive location(s). To better understand and get a quick overview on exactly what settings are planned to be deployed. Especially the "TransportTypeData"
section which otherwise can be quite tedious to read.
- List each unique host instance, so that I can easier see directly which ones might need a restart after an import.
I'd appreciate if you can come up with any more features that should be included in this script.

Filter on send port not on the same line as the Filter tag.
This one is a nice one, I ran into it several times. Mostly after copy/paste of a port definition for a binding file, because Visual Studio is formatting after paste the XML in a way the filter will get invalid. This leads to a cryptic error
during importing the binding.

What are the chances of getting flash player to work on my windows 7 starter?

Ive tried everything, gone to site after site reading other peoples coments about the same issue, but no difinitive answer as yet, Please help. I have a inspiron mini laptop, 32bit, windows 7 starter, and have just found out that it wont even let you change the desktop wallpaper, surely it supports flash player, my decision to buy this lap top is looking like a stupid decision. Hi, Well I don't know about the wallpaper:-), but I'm sure that there isn't any computer that wont' support Flash Player!
When you first set up your new computer, you set up the Administrator Account first. You will use that Account for Installing Flash Player. It is the one that gives you Permission to do so.
Next, I need to know if you have Installed any version of Flash Player on your computer?
Do you use any browser other than IE8?
What Anit-Virus program do you have Installed?
Use your IE browser and test at this site and let me know if you can see any animation of the Flash logo and what version of Flash Player does it say is Installed.

In your experience what are the best audio units to use

I hope that some of you folks are open to sharing some of your presets with others who aren't quite as good at toggling the audio unit section of garageband. I'm actually surprised that no site has sprouted up offering file downloads of presets for this section. Without the use of this section many mixes come out sound completely amateur and no better sounding than a 4-track recording vocals on a busy noisy sidewalk. For example I use the augraphiceq but it has no presets, which *****. I understand every voice has its own settings needs in editing or mastering, I just wish garageband offered a wide range of popular presets.
So let me get to what I am in need of from you wise fellow apple seeds, what au's do you use for hip hop vocals/ rock vocals/ or any genre you record. The master presets section do you use any? If so what do you use?
Can you detail your setting so I can create a duplicate to use myself ?

Convert the footage to QuickTime DV, interlaced, lower field first with audio at 48khz, 16 bit. In FCE, use the QuickTime DV setup.

What are the steps to prepare your desktop environment to run OA Framework

I need to run some OA Framework pages on my pc, I try to open it from my jdeveloper and use the following steps.
1. FTP the .class & .xml files from $JAVA_TOP to your PC, into jdevhome/myclasses
2. Copy contents of my classes into myprojects
3. Delete all the *.class files from myprojects
4. FTP files from $PRODUCT_TOP/mds to myprojects, for example from $ICX_TOP/mds
5. Create a OA Workspace and OA Project in jDeveloper
6. FTP the .dbc file from $FND_TOP/secure to <jdevhome>/dbc_files/secure
7. Setup jDev project properties for runtime connection. For this you will use the dbc file, FND User Name and its password. You will also specify the responsibility key and responsibility application short name.
8. Ensure that the user specified in jDeveloper project runtime property has access to the responsibility specified in previous step.
9. Create a DB Connection from jDeveloper. The jdbc connection details can be picked up from jDeveloper or by using tnsping or by reading the tnsnames.ora
10. Include all available libraries into jDeveloper project.
Im trying to do this steps for a iSupplier Portal application, when I created my pos project I cannot see the .xml files incluided on my project.
Do you know what am I missing?

well to see the files, you need to add them to an OA project. Create an OA workspace and then an OA project and add those files to the project.
