I suggest you wait for the factory unlocked phone. Try not to buy AT&T locked iPhone 5, hoping that you can unlock it. Trust me it's a lot of hassle to get newly launched iPhone unlocked. Because the failure of the SSD was not in my hands, will Apple help me avoid the inconvenience of restarting on a new computer by using my iPad to get music and pictures back on my computer? Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. You can do nothing if it's not online. With a passcode and iOS 7.1 (there is no 7.2) the device is uselss because it cannot be erased except by you.

Apple does not repair smashed phones. It will replace the phone with another iPhone 3G as an out of warranty exchange for 199.00 USD.
You should check with your carrier to see if you are eligible for a subsidized iPhone 4. It may cost you the same as the out of warranty replacement for a phone almost 3 generations old.

A. how to make a ringtone using iTunes
First, open up iTunes in order to make a ringtone using iTunes. Find the song you want to turn into a ringtone by browsing through your music library.
Next, find exactly what part of the song you want to make a ringtone using iTunes. For example, if you want to use a specific section of the song from 21 seconds to 40 seconds, make a note of where you want the ringtone to begin and end.
Now, right click on the song you want to turn into a ringtone. Click "Get Info". Now, in order to make a ringtone using iTunes, click the "Options" tab.
Check the "Start Time" check box. Type in the point in the song where you want the ringtone to start in the format "minute:seconds" (e.g. the second mark would be 0:20). You can also be more precise by adding a period and putting milliseconds in after that (e.g. 0:20.150, would be 20.150 seconds). If you update correctly yuyr apps wiull not be deleted and you can restore from backup. Just make sure that all theapps are in the library of he computer and that there is a backup of your iPod. Thenupdate and if necessary, restor from backup. Also see:
