Ifolder not syncronising on 1 pc

I folder is not loging into Server on 1 PC
The same username and password works on another PC!!
I have removed and re-installed ifolder
Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi
What about a different user/password? Can you monitor connections on
the server (wireshark?) and see an incoming connection from the PC in
question?

Ifolder not starting correctly ??

hi, i downloaded a vmware image from the opensuse gallery. its called iFolder JeOS heres the link if you want to look at it. iFolder JeOS – SUSE Gallery. i followed the instructions but i did not include ssl or LDAP. i set the machine up to have a static address , 192.168.3.105. it almost seems to work. i can open the ifolder administation page and create a new user. but i notice something wrong, when i select the server tab it shows my server, but when i click on my server it says that my server is offline. if i try to go to https://192.168.3.105/simias10. it says unable to connect. when i start the client machine and go though the ifolder account creation wizard and fill everything in then i press the connect button. i get the following error "an errror was encounteed while connectiong to the ifolder server. please verify the information entered and try again. i feel like a server has failed to start, or was not configured correctly. can anyone help. i used to use linux till about 5 years ago, i got rust all over.

I'd try reconfiguring the server - if you are getting an error on the simias10 page - there is something not right with the base configuration.
On a next reconfiguration, try using SSL. Setting up SSL on openSUSE is not that hard to setup (for example see steps 1 & two in the bit 'Configuring Apache for SSL' : Installing iFolder Server on openSUSE 11.1 & 11.2 | DiWi ).

that might help in getting a better pictures of what needs to be configured and shake off the rust a bit :)
Also, the author of the iFolder JeOS might be able to give you some pointers?

My IPOD Nano NOT syncronising with my Macbook Air

I have an 8 gb Nano which I was formerly using with a PC. I now have a MacBook Air (MA)and have transferred my music library to the new MA. I 'restored' my NANO which I took to be reformatting it for use with the MA but it is not working. When I plug in the Nano it shows as connected for a short time and shows the bar icon suggesting a transfer of files is taking place, then its icon disappears from ITunes. When I click 'syncronising' ITunes says it can't find device. I have reset the Nano and unpluggged and re-connected a number of times. The NANO still says 'No Music' and shows no evidence of files having been transferred. What to do?

Seemed to resolve itself! Everything comes to them that wait!

I have just gone on my itunes account and found all of my music missing, I have not syncronised my ipod for 3 months and went to update tonight and cannot find any of my music that I have down loaded or purchased, help.

I have just opened my itunes account and have lost all of my music, including music i have downloaded from disc and purchased music it appears to have happened in the last 2 months. can anyone help. When i did a check on my account it came up with the list of all my purchased music but just dont know where it has gone. i have not synchronised my ipod classic for about 3 months.Help..........

Content is permanently tied to the account that it was purchased with.
Simply plug the iDevice into the computer and sync the content you want.

EMail not syncronising between devices

I have 5 IMAP accounts and recieve all email happily on the MBP, but most emails don't show up on the iPhone...
It's an iPhone 4 on the newest software, and the MBP is on Mail version 4.5 SL.
This is a new issue and restoring software hasn't helped.
Can anyone help?

Double and triple check the account settings on all of your devices/computers. Also, look at the mail on the server. Is it actually still there? If it appears on the MBP, but not on the server, that's an indication that the MBP is actually using POP, not IMAP.

Outlook e-mail not synchronising all contacts

It's possible to synchronise contacts stored in outlook the free online mail service. This service allows you to link your contacts with some social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc.
I have synchronised my Iphone with my contactlist stored in outlook but not all contacts are syncronised. All contacts linked with other socialnetworks are synchronised but most of those who are not linked to other services are not syncronised. When I edit one that is not syncronised and wait a while Iphone synchronises that contact. Still those who I haven't edited are not. Please can someone help me out with this problem or fix this issue.

The plugin seems to be working. I'll have to do some more rigorous observations to see if there are things not syncing-up, but on the surface, the httpmail plugin is working.

6680 Firmware update: Contacts not displayed on ph...

Hi, I upgraded my 6680 withe Nokia Software Updater. Before updating my phone I successfully carried out a full back up of the phone and the 64Mb memory card installed in the phone. I used PC Suite 6.8.13.0 to carry out the backup (it used Content Copier v3.0 that is part of PC Suite). The software update completed successfully. I then Restored the phone from my full backup. This appeared to complete successfully. When I attempted to verify the information on the phone I noticed the following: 1. All data, including custom settings (but not 3rd party applications that I had installed) and all messages were restored to the phone. 2. The Contacts are empty on the phone. I then tried the following on the phone: Contacts / Options / Copy - From memory card. This results in no data being copied from the memory card (I do not belive that the contact dats is on the memory card anyway). 3. I have noticed that using the Nokia Phone Browser in Windows Explorer (Windows XP SP2) that I can see all my contacts in the Contacts section. This indicates to me that the contact data is on the phone. I repeated the restore from full back up process and it had exactly the same results. I then tried backup my Phone memory to the 64Mb card with the following thought - if the contact data is on the Phone in Phone memory, and I back it up to the memory card, then I may be able to try restoring the Phone memory from the card and see the contacts again. I was able to successfully back up the Phone memory to the card. I restored the phone from the backup on the card and it completed with a reboot. There is still no contact data visible in the Contact on the phone BUT they are still visible through Windows Explorer/Nokia Phone Browser. I then tried to go to Contacts on the Phone and choose Copy / From memory card. Again there were no contacts to restore (despite the allegedly successful Phone memory backup) and the Contacts on my phone is still empty. Additional information: I do NOT syncronise my Contacts with any application such as Outlook/Lotus Notes etc. This is becomming the straw that will break the camel's back - unless I can get my phone to function the way it should I will NEVER go near another Nokia product again - and ensure that none of may family do either. Hey, I can second this! Just upgraded the firmware to V4.04.07 on my 6680 and I have also lost visibility of all my contacts. They are however showing in Nokia PC Suite Contacts section when phone is connected. (PC Suite v6.81.130) I did a full back-up of the phone before upgrading fimware, and then tried to restore afterwards. Initially I had problems restoring and it would freeze after 'messages' but eventually after a couple of attempts it made it to 100percent restored. All data seems to have been restored to the phone ok and everything functions (including tomtom) apart from the contacts. I can even sync my 6680 with Lotus Notes for calendar, to-do etc. ok. The contacts were originally stored on the phone for the extra fucntionality as mentioned by martin above. I have tried copying from Memory Card SIM within the phone and it says there are 0 records, I have tried to sync (update button) the PC Suite with the phone and as mentioned previously this does nothing and returns the error ' The syncronisation has been terminated '. I checked the folder C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Phone Browser\Contacts and there were no VCF files in there at all. I also have the PCsync installed (auto-installed when using PC Suite to read messages on phone) and it made no difference before or after. I have tried adding a contact onto both phone and PC suite and neither will sync to the other, with same error as above. I have destoyed the log as described in C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Nokia\PCSync\SynchData and this also made no difference. I am loathed to try the full reset (*#7370#) on the phone as described previously bearing in mind the problems this seems to cause! Did you get past the lock code martin? If I put in new contacts manually into the phone they are saved and work ok - don't fancy doing that over 160 times to re-populate the phone! This is all very dissapointing and not expected of Nokia...strange thing is one of my colleagues has updated several of these phones and never experienced a problem, but this is obviously not unique as a couple of us have raised the point now. Connecting iPod to two computers - not setup for Apple account ...

A co-worker bought an iPod classic and downloaded and installed iTunes on his desktop computer at home.
He did NOT create an iTunes account at the time. He just imported music off his hard drive and CDs and then sync'd his iPod. After that he started creating playlists.
Now he has a laptop that he wants to also connect the iPod too. He downloaded iTunes, connected the iPod, and it says it was sync'd to another computer and do you want to erase all the files off the iPod and sync it with iTunes on this computer. I told him to click on cancel.
The question is, how does he get it so both computers have the same account?
The easier one to modify would be the laptop. We can copy iTunes folder to somewhere else to back them up. Now how do we create a compatible account on the laptop so the iPod knows it is the same account? Does that make sense?
I did have him create an iTunes account and I would like to get both of his Windows computers set so that this is the account both computers see.

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different. You can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:

Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7.3 or later installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Once you are connected you can change to manual as per the instructions above: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows

In our Company we are using Lotus Notes 6.55 and BlackBerry Devices.
Today, the Blackberry-Desktop Software supports synchronisation to Notes 6.5
It works very well!
The usability is great.
In next time we want to buy again BB-Devices (new ones).
Is there any Information about like a timeline for Support Lotus Notes 6.5?
btw.. i mean only support by Using BB-Desktop!
Other Manufacturer (eg. Nokia) stopped their support for USB-Sync (Nokia Suite) to Lotus Notes 6.x
Blackberry is one of the last or even the last Manufacturer with Support to Lotus Notes 6.x
Will Blackberry continue support synchronisation with Notes 6.x in next Models via BB-Desktop?

Move ifolder data store

As I understand it, I need to add the data store in the ifolder adminUI. Move the data from the existing data store and restart ifolder. Can anyone confirm this process (not in that exact order)? Ifolder 3.8 I believe (installed from the sles11 sp2/OES sp1 disc) and want to move the store to a nas that supports smb, cifs, nfs and afp file protocols. Anybody see any potential problems with this?

From the lack of responses, i guess either this cant be done or i am missing something?
I will say, i tried this approach and it looks like folder will not accept smb://nas/share/path/to/data
Am i doing this the right way or will ifolder not work this way?

then after i have sold that phone and purchase the new nokia e72 before 10 days but the same problem i m facing ..not syncronising email either manual or automatic..so i m very upsate with this kind of problem with nokia and no body can answer on the problem ..

After installing mavericks a number of apps are not supported in Mac and iphone/ipad

after having istalled mavericks several apps do not function on te iMac /iPhone/iPad
such as C Cleaner on the Mac and several apps on the phone/ ipad do not syncronise the updates anymore.

Sorry, again I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Language barrier. Your English is certainly better than my proficiency in your language.
If you are asking, "Is crapware like C Cleaner available in the app store?" , or, "if software is available in the App Store, does that guarantee that it is good?", I don't know. I can't speak for Apple's decision making process in what does or does not go into the App Store. Dishonest developers (and crapware developers are, by definition, dishonest), can certainly inflate their own ratings. So I wouldn't go by the ratings.
A comprehensive discussion of Mac maintenance is perhaps best left for another day.
But my opinion is this:
OSX is very, very well written software, and has powerful and effective troubleshooting and maintenance software already built in.
There are very few circumstances in which one might need any third-party software to diagnose or treat a software problem with a Mac. Especially if you avoid putting crapware into your computer in the first place.
Any third party software that says it will clean, defragment, optimize, or speed up your mac is probably crapware, and will harm your computer. People install these apps before they have any basic knowledge of the maintenance software that is already built in to their Macs.

HT1386 Address book on my mac is not syncing with my iPhone

Address book on my mac is not syncronising with my iPhone, address book is not affected, but iPhone loses all contacts after syncronising, any help would be appreciated. Mike

3. Select the iPad, then Books on the "tabs" along the top.
4. Select "Sync Books" if it is not selected, and "all books."
