IFooty update, unknown error. How do i delete it?

A few days ago i put iFooty on my iPhone 3g, and it worked great.
Today i see that there is an update for it, so i try to update it from my phone. It tells me that it will update next time i sync it.
When i sync my phone i get an error saying (something similar to)...
"The application iFooty wont install, an unknown error has occured (0XE800002E)".
I have tried to completely reload it, deleted it off the phone, reset my phone, tried to re-sync the phone numerous times, but still get the same message.
I have now lost interest, and would like to get rid of the app off both my phone and itunes. I still have the red (1) on my application store updates on my phone, thats annoying me because i cant update it at all.
I can tick or untick the application on itunes, but dont know how to remove it from the applications list.
Any ideas?

Yep, that got grid of it.
The funny thing is, is that Applications didnt show under Library on iTunes. It was ticked under preferences, so i unticked it and reticked it, and then it appeared.
I have managed to delete it off my phone and off itunes now though, tanks.

Help - have installed iTunes 7.0.1 and am trying to keep ALL the music on my iPod so have tried to set the options to manual update. But although the computer senses the iPod is connected, when I try and drag new files to my iPod, I get the message "iPod cannot be updated Unknown error-48" Any advice gratefully received

    Hey!
Just an update since last week.
Still comes up with the "Unknown Error_48" when coupled to the Mac.Doesn't sync to iTunes and says it's upto date in the summary.Never had any issues like this (until iTunes 7 and 1.2).Kinda renders the whole iPod thing a bit useless.
Being able to update the library on your Pod is essential.Otherwise what's the point? My Pod still 'works'but not quite the way Apple intended I think.
    SORT IT OUT APPLE!!

You have to go to Settings>Store and log out of one account and log into the other account.  If you have updates available for apps that were purchased from more than one account, you have to update the apps individually until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

When I search for the error code, everything leads to articles about the device being jailbroken, which would mean Apple doesn't support that device anymore. Can anyone confirm this?

  • IPod cant be updated (unknown error -50)

I made a fresh install of WinXP pro (with a nLite customized CD). I installed iTunes (current version) and my iPod Shuffle is recognized by the program. But if I try to copy songs to my iPod, iTunes says that my iPod cant be updated. The volume cant be read or written. Sometimes a 2nd error message occurs that says unknown error (-50).
I get no error message during startup of iTunes, the iPod is recognized by iTunes and Windows as well. All seems to be working, but it dont if I tried to update the iPod. I assume that a needed service of windows maybe missing, but dont know which one are necessary.
I also tried to reset my iPod. But this do not work with this version of iTunes. So I use the older program ipodsetup to reset my iPod to version 1.14 but this doesnt solve my prob too.
    Any ideas? Plz help!
    Plz help.

It's weird. I format my iPod and plug it into usb again. iTunes popup and asked for a name of the new iPod. I choose one and I choose autofill, too. Then iTunes filled up my iPod with songs. So far every thing was ok. But after this op was finished, I make some settings which needs to be saved on my iPod Shuffle and of course the same error occurs again. I cant put songs on it manually, this seems only to work on 1st launch of iTunes (u know every time u start iTunes the message "dont plug off iPod..." appears, where I got no errors messages at all).
I need ur support becuz I cant figure out the reason why this happens! I cant use my iPod becuz I cant choose which music has to be copied on it.

  • Cannot update, "unknown error"

I am trying to update to Mavericks, but after I enter my password and hit enter, it says "Unknown error". And then it gives me, "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
This happened last night (I tried signing in, but had forgotten my password, so changed it) and I cleared caches and cookies, turned off and restarted the computer several times. Same thing. Waited and tried again this afternoon, same thing.
I also tried purchasing a free app from the App Store and get the same error.
    Any help?

Oops. You are right! Thank you.
Currently, I may have the problem solved, based on Demo's suggestions on this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/21255907#21255907
What I did: I signed out of itunes, restarted the computer and opened the App Store. I tried adding Mavericks, but got the error messages (in the opposite order though) again. Then I tried to view my previous purchases and it made me sign in and verify payment information. After that, Marvericks started to download. At least it looks like Mavericks is downloading right now.
    Fingers crossed!!

  • January software update unknown error -2

I just bought an iPod Touch and I am trying to apply the January software update. I continually get the error message:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request.
    An unknown error occurred (-2).
    Any help?

I tried the update on another computer and I got the same error. I also get the error on both computers: from the iTunes Store home screen, when I click on iPod Touch January Software Upgrade I see the error. I think it is some sort of connection problem. Maybe the Apple servers are getting hit with a lot of upgrade requests?

  • HT3281 Podcast download error - How do I delete it from itunes and my iphone?

I tried to download a podcast directly on my iphone.  I got an error but later was able to download it through Itunes on my laptop so I don't want it anymore.  Now the podcast still won't download on my iphone and continues to say download error in itunes on my iphone. The podcast episode shows up on my iphone, but it says the time is 0:00 and it won't let me swipe to delete it.  How can I remove it?

    Hey Bret,
I had the same problem and found that if I went to the iTunes app (as opposed to the Music app) and selected "More" and then "Downloads", I could swipe from right to left on the specific podcast that wouldn't download, which would cause the "Delete" button to be revealed, and then delete it. After deleting the podcast there, I opened the "Music" app and found that it had been deleted from there also. Hope this helps.
Incidentally, I'm still unable to download certain podcasts directly to my iPhone.

  • Unknown errors - how do I identify?

When I try to burn my iDVD, I get the following message:
"There were errors during the project validation that have to be fixed before burning the project."
However, when I display the map, there are no exclamation points to be seen. Is there another way of identifying the errors?

Before I opened my iDVD project I was warned about a missing photo, and therein lay the problem with burning. I had deleted a DVD photo from my Photo Library. Once I removed the photo from my DVD project, all was well.
