Ifram flash widget not working in Firefox

Hi everyone,
Here is another case of compatibility with firefox.
http://web.mac.com/morizet/SophiaMorizet/Film%26TV.html
Uploaded with Iweb 9
tested with Firefox 3.6
Could it be an iframe issue ? here is my code
<iframe width="775" height="300" frameborder="0" src="http:/web.me.com/morizet/deploy/preview.swf"></iframe>
Thanks for your help
S

Thanks Rody,
Thanks for looking.
The URL is working by itself in both Safari and Firefox.
From another Mac and through the webpage, only Safari is working.
In a PC with IE it is not working, same message. URL not sound.
If the code is good and the URL too, what could it be ?
The location of the folder ?
I don't get why Safari finds it but not the other browsers.
Best

  • Flash Player not working in Firefox

Suddenly Firefox will not play flash player content called
when I play games online. It worked fine a few days ago.
When I click on the link, it opens the game page, but where
the game should appear, I see a blank black box. When I click on
the "Play online game" link I also get a large empty black box.
I am running Windows XP on an HP Pavilion ze2315us laptop. I
recently installed trial version of Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro.
In efforts to fix the problem I tried the following:
Removed adblocker addresses that might conflict.
    Checked blocked sites
    Removed and reinstalled Flash Player.
    Reinstalled Firefox.
Set folder options to use Firefox to open SWF files
    All to no avail.
I tried the web site in IE. Had to download and install Flash
Player again but it works fine in IE.
Afterwards, it still did not work in Firefox.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
I have a similar problem in Linux Fedora 16.
    I have installed adobe flash-plugin 11.2.202.233
In Google Chrome I can see flash applications very well.
But in Firefox 11.0 flash does not work.
    When I look in about:plugins I see:
    Shockwave Flash
    File: nswrapper_32_32.liblashplayer.so
    Version:
    Shockwave Flas 11.2 r202
    application/x-shockwave-flash
    Shockwave Flash
    swf
    application/futuresplash
    FutureSplash Player
    spl
Please, in which OS did you worked?
In the past I with other versions, it did work without any problem.
Perhaps I can look if I have firewall is turned on?
Thanks in advance for any answer,
    Greetings,
    Gaston Verhulst.

  • Flash does not work with Firefox following Windows Vista update 14/5/2014.

Flash still works with IE9. I've carried out all steps in http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or.html, i.e. twice updated Flash to V13.0.0.214 (previously V13.0.0.206), activated Firefox Flash add-on, deleted browser data and cache and disabled hardware acceleration. Nothing fixes it! Vista SP2, Firefox 29.0.1.

Apologies for vague "does not work" from me - and sorry for delay replying. What I understand to be "rich media content" did not display. For example, all text and images in this screen clip from www.metoffice.gov.uk appeared as a single blank grey rectangle. In other websites links displayed in a basic underlined font instead of rich formatted text/images, or video and audio links were completely missing from an otherwise fully rendered webpage.
However in the last hour Firefox has starting behaving properly again without any further diagnostic efforts from me! For six days some graphics and links have not displayed in Firefox, yet IE9 has behaved perfectly. This has happened a few times before, normal service being restored (in hours rather than days) either by updating the Flash plug-in or for no apparent reason.
Any thoughts in case of future re-occurrences would be appreciated. Thanks Pat for your time and help.

  • Flash components not working in Firefox 2 or 3

    Hi all,
I have a couple simple games that use Flash CS3's list and
button components. They work great in the Flash authoring
environment and in IE when testing, but they do not work properly
in Firefox. The button does not have any graphic associated with
it, it is only the text of the label parameter that appears, so it
looks kind of like plain text. The list appears fine in one game
but does not appear at all in the other. If you want to see a
sample of this, here is a URL:
    http://websitedev3.dis.wa.gov/games/countries.shtml
-- this has the list that does not work properly in FF
    http://websitedev3.dis.wa.gov/games/catch.shtml
-- this has a button on the info pages that does not have any
graphics on it and looks like plain text ('Start Game').
Any suggestions on how this can be fixed so these games are
functional in Firefox would be greatly appreciated. This problem
persists across multiple machines, so I don't think it's an issue
    with my development computer.

Both of these load no problems in my FF3

  • Flash player not working with Firefox 5

    Hi all:
I have been having problems with my Firefox 5 (also was happening with 4) and the Flash Player (newest and previous versions also). Basically, whenever I open a page with flash content, Firefox gets frozen and "not responding" appears on the top bar. After some time, it comes back
I've tried reinstalling Firefox and Flash Player (also formatting laptop - Windows 7) and this is still happening.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    W.

You might as well stop wasting your time. The problem seems to be centered around FireFox (since Adobe Flash seems to work fine with IE and Chrome).  After FireFox begin running Flash as a separate process, it no longer retains preset volume settings for Flash, instead, each new FireFox window resets it to max volume. As a result, several times I've had my ears blasted (this can lead to hearing loss and/or damaged audio equipment). This only happens with newer versions of Flash. Consequently, I no longer use the latest versions in FireFox. I'm thinking about totally dropping FireFox and moving completely to Chrome. Looks like neither Adobe or FireFox are gonna budge to fix the problem.

  • Flash Player not working on Firefox, playing everything low quality on Chrome

    Running Windows 7 64-bit
I was using Firefox and starting to watch a video on YouTube, and set it to 720p fullscreen. However, I noticed that the video was oddly low quality for 720p, and then I looked at the YouTube player bar and saw that even that was fuzzy and low quality. I tried to update to the latest version of Flash Player - the first time I got an error, but it seemed to install fine afterwards. I started up Firefox again and nothing using flash was working. Websites told me to install Flash Player. I am aware that this is a known issue, but I tried using Chrome instead and Flash Player worked just fine on that, except it was still low quality. I can't seem to find an option to change to high quality, and it still isn't working on Firefox. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem today as far as updating flash player.
    I went here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions. html
and downloaded the FULL version of 11.2.202.233 and installed flashplayer11_2r202_233_win_64bit.msi and everything is working fine now it is a large file.
What you've downloaded there is not the full version, but a Debugger. The full version can be downloaded from here and is only 4,403KB: Download standalone Flash Player installer

  • Flash audio not working in Firefox 31.0

Flash audio works in Chromium. Have tried the following with no success:
    - Resetting Firefox
    - Reinstalling Flash plugin
Thanks for taking your time to help me out.
    EDIT:
I noticed in about:plugins a listing for "FutureSplash Player". Perhaps that has something to do with the problem?

On Linux Adobe has stopped supporting Flash for Firefox.
There are only security updates of Flash 11.2 available.
If web pages require a more recent Flash version then they won't work with Firefox and you would have to use Google Chrome.
Does this happen with all pages that use the Flash plugin?
Did you check if the player has a volume slider?

  • [SOLVED] Certain Flash sites not working in Firefox 4...

    EDIT: Solved in post #15
Using Firefox 4 stable from extra repo, something is up with my Flash where certain sites aren't seeing it, while others are. When it works, it plays fine. Here's some screenshots to illustrate what I mean:
When I start a new session of a Firefox all Youtube videos are in the small window (even when I'm logged in) and the first video I watch, to get it to the bigger window I click the enlarge button as seen: http://i.imgur.com/vmmSF.png
It plays fine in this little window, but when I click that button and it enlarges, it looks like this http://i.imgur.com/4xzoy.png
Sometimes it will play and I can hear the audio while I only have that grey rectangle. Now, I can hit refresh and it will play back fine now on in this larger size, but this does not occur on my laptop with Arch and same packages.
Then Vimeo, nearly all videos are like this http://i.imgur.com/zYkIT.png
And on Break I don't even see anything: http://i.imgur.com/SIkT2.png
Many sites tell me to upgrade my flash. Here is package info I am using just in case:

  • Flash player not working in Firefox with YouTube

Help! Every since I updated to the latest version of Firefox I can no longer play any videos on YouTube - they hang and stall every few seconds and some never load at all. I have the latest version of Flash, have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, have clicked and unclicked the Global Settings options, have run Firefox in safe mode with extensions off and just Flash running and it still doesn't work. I am on a Mac running OS 10.4.11. What else can I do?

That's wierd, Adobe TV videos are much higher def than YouTube... so I have a pretty opposite behaviour at times at my end.
Could you try clicking something in the middle of the YouTube video progressbar, if the video jumps to that part and continues. Share results of that as well.
    Cheers

  • Adobe Flash is not working on Firefox....period.

I tried posting the details of my problem with the browser and Flash, but it was put in the wrong section and it has since disappeared.
Suffice it to say, I have tried just about everything that was suggested through the forums to the videos (at this point I have to watch them on Chrome)...and none of them work.
I feel that I have wasted enough time on this and just migrate to Chrome.

  • Flash no longer working on Firefox after update

Moments ago I installed the Flash update after it came up on my screen asking to update, after doing so Flash is no longer working on Firefox, it works fine on other browsers. I cant view videos, look at flash objects etc. It was working perfectly fine before up untill the update. Anybody know how to resolve or fix this issue?

    Dear Chris:
Yes, turning off Protected Mode indeed solves the problem!
Specifically, we today (June 9, 2012) installed the new Adobe Flash v. 11.3.300.257 on several Windows 7 PC's, all running Firefox v. 14 (Beta), and none of the Firefox installations would confirm that the installation was performed successfully.  For example, the Adobe Flast test/about site, https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about, would not work.  And, likewise, YouTube videos and other Flash-encoded videos did not work either.
So, we tried your suggestion to disable the new Protected Mode, and it worked.  That is, every single machine on which Flash did not work in Firefox now functions perfectly.  So this conclusively demonstrates that there indeed is some kind of bug in the implementation of Protected Mode.
Can you please let me and the other Adobe users know when this is fixed.  Thanks.
Also, could you likewise let us know the risks of turning of Protected Mode (although we really don't have any choice, as Flash will not work on Firefox with PM turned on).
    Thank you.  Much appreciated.
    Kind regards,

  • Flash drag and drop not working on Firefox for android browser

Drag and drop functionality is not working using Firefox Browser for Android on tablet. We tested with flash action script 2.0 & 3.0 content, both have same issue. Specs of the tab and OS are as follows.
    Android - Kitkat 4.4.2
    Tab models - Lenovo A7600H and Samsung Tab4 T531
Please refer to a previous case raised on the same issue here at this link (Case 1029615) - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1029615
Additionally, we observed that the object on which Drag and Drop event was triggered, is moving little bit when we double tap.
Does Firefox provide any libraries to support Drag and Drop functionality on Flash? We are using Geekoview api to execute flash content in our app. Will the same support be provided in Geekoview as well?
Are there other folks facing the same issue? Is there a solution or workaround to get this feature running?

Flash on Android is no longer supported by Adobe. While Firefox does support basic functionality we mainly focus on legacy video applications. You may run into issues with Flash and Geckoview. I doubt we have any resources to support that configuration.
