IFRAME and The code to fix the IE active content behavior

I'm using the Macromedia Extension for fix the IE April 11
Upgrade. It's all right, but the iframes doesn't work with thenew
code, Do you know some solution???? HELP!!!

CFPOP and the FROM variable content

I use CFPOP with no problem,
except that when I send from my OutLook,
the FROM variable content is a name (my name)
not an Email adress.
I need the Email adress like : [email protected]
which is the unic identifier
I am under CF 7 (or CF 8)
How to get the Email adress in the "from" variable of the CFPOP ?

I send (myself, as an example, could be anybody else) a mail to an Email address xxxx,
With CFpop I want to get this mail and identify the sender with the Email adress (in the from variable).
So in the "from" variable of CFpop , I should get the Email adress of the sender.
Then 2 cases :
- If the mail is sent from Outlook , the "from" content have the name of the person (not the Email adress)
(and different person can have the same name)
- If the mail is sent from a Webmail, the "from" content has the Email adress (format [email protected])
(the email adress is unique)
And I need the Email adress (not the name of the sender) to Identify the person in the DataBase.

Powerpoint and the APEX9 3D content plugin

Testing the 'Insert Acrobat 3D Model' tool in M$ Powerpoint 2003/XP, it kills pretty much every keyboard command when the presentation is running. You can advance TO the 3D slide as normal, but once there the PPT presenter keys (pgUp,pgDown,N,P,Esc,etc.) stop working.
Manually closing the 3D toolbar allows you to navigate to the next slide, but then it's simply impossible to go back - none of the shortcut keys work, even though you're no longer viewing a slide with any 3D content on display. Even ending the presentation with the Esc key isn't an option - the only way out is to use the popup in-screen navigator menu (which of course the audience then gets to see)
I assume the plugin hooks into the keyboard buffer and doesn't bother to bubble keypresses it doesn't use, but it makes the idea of a presentation with 3D content a non-starter.

The viewer in MS Office apps is limited. You cannot exit out of the 3D mode and the controls are not available. The viewer is not really meant to be much more than a way to get a u3d file into a PDF. Also remember, you will not be able to give someone that MS Word document and have them view the u3d unless they have Acrobat 3D on their machine as well.

I attach a file in mail and the whole thing shows there ie. attach a PDF and the whole pdf content is displayed in the mail. Anyone know how I just get the icon toi appear as the attachment rather than the whole file? This only happens with pdf and jpg

When I attach a jpg or pdf to a mail it shows as the whole document "pasted" into the mail. Anyone know how I get the file to just show as an icon and not as a mass of pasted in docs?

For your own viewing, you can of course control-click on the attachment and select "View as Icon".
For others' viewing, it depends upon their email reader. To ensure that attachments are not displayed expicitly you can put them all in a zip file (via control click and "Compress") then attaching them, or you can use third party stuff like Attachment Tamer.

I have Leopard and PE6 and had no difficulty installing it. The only problem was with 'Bridge', which turned out to be a conflict with a file installed by the 'Opera' browser:
Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Opera/Widgets/widgets.dat
If you have been using Opera you should remove this and note that if you run Opera again it will reinstall it. Earlier versions of Opera are OK. The presence of this file caused Bridge to hang when selecting 'Home'.
Since removing that file I have had no problems whatever with PE6.

Links to named destinations in IFRAME positioning the PDF a page and half past

I created a PDF file w/ named destinations so that I can allow the Internet user w/ browser and Acrobat Reader plug-in to link to specific sections of the PDF. The zoom is set to Fit Horizontally, and the position is the top of the page in my example PDF. I used Acrobat Pro 8.1 to create the PDF.
Problem is when trying to load the PDF into an IFRAME, displayed with the named destination using a tag like:

When clicking on the link to the named destination, the .pdf is loaded or reloaded into an IFRAME and the page with the named destination is usually correctly displayed. Only in IE 6,7,8 the pdf will frequently (about 1 out of 4 times) be positioned a page and a half past the named destination. Clicking to a different link, and then back to the original link will usually reposition the PDF correctly. Chrome and Firefox always position the PDF exactly to the named destination. I'd like to know how to create the named destination so that it will always be positioned correctly, or to use a different link that will always position correctly. I'm using Reader 9.1.2

I'm working with Lyle on this, and I have done some additional testing.
What I found is that the positioning for named destinations seems to work ok with IE8 when the html page and pdf file are located on one of our external web servers (rather than local intranet servers).
I am wondering if this is due to the latency involved in downloading the file, allowing the DOM to register the plugin?
I've posted a query at Microsoft's forum, but they are pointing me back to Adobe...saying they cannot know how the plugin handles rendering...even though I responded that it seems to work across the board with Firefox and Chrome.

IFrames and .swf over lapping problem

I've made my site in iweb '09 and I've uploaded some .swf Flash files to my site. It works great except on one of my pages, the only page with an iFrame. I have a basic layout I use on all of my pages and the .swf is in the same location on every page, the only content that changes is my text. Its a "tab" layout I guess you could say. So my iFrame is in place of the text that is always changing and for some reason my .swf captures and displays my iframe inside of it's frame.(0_o) So I have two areas on my page that my iFrame is displayed. I've moved the iFrame around, changed a lot of the code (for both the iFrame and the .swf HTML snippet) and have had no luck. Can anyone please help me?

The Adobe
Active Content deployment fix seems to be problematic on
complex pages.
That is, any page that contains more than just Flash,
especially other
scripts. We're urging our customers not to use it and urge
Adobe to have
a serious look at this workaround. Strictly in terms of
scripting
protocol, and with respect to code aesthetics, it's an
"interesting"
piece of work and could be responsible for page hangs in some
browsers.

Adobe Muse and "frames" and "iframes" in the code

i was ask by an SEO specialist that i had to remove all the "frame" code from my Muse sites because this is something that Google dont like. My question is : is it really bad for google to have a web site with frames? Is this something i cant fix in Muse, if yes how? If the frames generated by Muse when exporting in html are OK for search Engin like Google, please just give me some explanation so i can understand how this works and respond to the SEO specialist.
I was asking my self, why would Adobe generate a bad SEO code? This is not logical, I'm sure SOMEBODY can help me understand this.

There is no actual reference to HTML frames in the code snippet you provided. The ones you see are just HTML comments.
Muse would use iFrames in cases such as inserting a YouTube/Vimeo video (this is what Google/Vimeo themselves provide for embedding purposes) or an Edge animation for example.
