Hi,
I obtain IFS-10620 error running java application. Acording with Developer Guide this error ocurrs when they are problems in the connection because TNS, ifs service or user/password problems. I verified this topics and i don't detect any problem.
Somebody have any idea?
Thanks,

  • IFS-10620: Unable to construct connection pool exception

    I am getting the "IFS-10620: Unable to construct connection pool" exception on the browser
    when I try to run the Airport example from the "Writing an iFS Custom Renderer" http://technet.oracle.com/products/ifs/htdocs/xsl/index.htm
    technical brief.
    Technet tells me that in this case I should (a) run it under jdk 1.1.8, and
    (b) have classes111.zip from the jdbc directory included in the classpath.
    (c) DatabaseUrl field in IfsDefault.properties is defined properly.
    I have modified one of the classes to output the relevant system parameters when
    initialised, and I get the enclosed output in (a) on loading the servlet.
    Together with paths (b) and classpath(c) settings,it seems that the requirements
    are met but it still gives the error. Any suggestions of where we go wrong?
    Oracle, IFS and JWS are installed on the same NT machine, and the iFS GUI works.
    The value of the DatabaseUrl field was empty (juts "@", I then changed it to
    "@machinename" but to no avail).

    iFS API is working only with jdk1.1.8 ?
    I'm just using your API and I can assure you that IfsDefault.properties is as you advice and inluded in classpath.
    Please reply if you have any solution to this

    I don't think 'malware' is your issue. And probably not accurate to begin with.
    PowerBook G4 would be running Tiger 10.4. I assume.
    Your router/modem etc might be what you see.
    When you log into your network equipment, harden it and make sure to change the defalt password, use something stronger (create and store in Keychain or another password manager).
    AS much as I favor security I don't know of any WORM or router exploit, but there are always people that will look to do remote login.
    If you ever use(s) a bittorrent client your IP got listed on P2P servers and you will see denial of service on your router/firewall.
    NAS hard drives, printers, anything that can be shared?
    And Apple has more than a few Networking Support articles.
    Make sure your modem etc have the latest firmware, too.

    Hi Karthikeyan,
    This is not the issue at all. I can open the management studio by the same login id and password and also i can make the database jdbc connection from plain java file.
    It does not give me any problem by them.
    I'm unable to find the actual problem. May be i'm missing something in connection pooling.
    Please help.

  • Unable to create connection pool on weblogic startup

    Hi, I have a problem currently with the connection pool of weblogic 8.1 not being able to be created on a scheduled restart daily.
    The weblogic server is restarted daily at 6am. However, the oracle database is shut down for maintenance daily till 7am before it is up again. It is not possible to shift either timings of restarting weblogic and oracle.
    Is there any script or option settings in weblogic to reconnect the connection pool after 7am daily without restarting the weblogic instance?
    Please help. Thanks.

    Please help. Thanks.You can use the weblogic.Admin command line program to create, destroy, disable, or enable pools
    in a running server. However, the easiest thing to do is to define your pool to have an initial
    capacity of zero, so it is allowed to be created at startup, without needing to make any connections.
    Then it will self-populate as needed when application load starts, if/when the DBMS is available.

  • IFS-10180 - Unable to construct credential

    Hi all, just wondered if anyone in Oracle could tell me what this actually means as an error message?
    iFS was working fine, then we had a brief powercut (luckily the UPS system kicked-in).
    Next time I tried to use iFS I got this error code every time I tried to click on a folder (either in the tree or through the main view frame.)
    Is there any way of stopping this error message appearing again? That's to say, is there something I have to reconstruct or reinstall or verify in order to fix the cause of the error?

    Have you tried shutting down the iFS servers (using ifsstop) and then restarting them (using ifsstart)? After a power cycle, it's usually a good idea to restart everything.

  • IFS-20010 : Unable to get service configuration properties

    Hi all,
    I am trying to connect to IFS using JDeveloper. I have coded a JSP which makes a call to my java class to connect.
    I know that I can connect from my machine because I can run a simple application from the command line to create
    a file in IFS.
    Anyway, I set up my classpath under Project Settings as follows (same as my classpath on command line):
    C:\oracle\JDeveloper\9ifs\settings;.;C:\DOCUMENT\jars\adk.jar;C:\DOCUMENT\jars\email.jar;
    C:\DOCUMENT\jars\repos.jar;C:\DOCUMENT\jars\utils.jar;C:\DOCUMENT\jars\xmlparserv2.jar;
    C:\oracle\ora90\jdbc\lib\classes12.zip
    When I run the jsp under JDeveloper I get the following output on my developer console.
    Should the classpath value be what I have entered for my classpath under Project Settings?
    Any help is appreciated,
    Paul

  • Fatal error while filling connection pool

    I was not getting a connection to an Oracle database and I was getting the following error in cms.log: "FATAL  Connector - Unable to create connection pool for T_Orbis_Oracle: Fatal error while filling connection pool for jdbc:oracle:thin:@MESDB:1521:ASPENB21" where T_Orbis_Oracle is the xMII link name and the database ASPENB21 is on server MESDB. I changed the database username in the link to SYSTEM and I then got a connection and a Created Connection pool message in the log. I then changed back to the username which originally was giving the error and it now also gave me a successful connection. I am now worried that there is an issue in the background which is gradually building up and will begin to fail again as previously. Can anyone explain what is causing this problem and suggest how I can correct it? Thanks, John.

    John,
    Check you have installed the JDBC driver ojdbc14.jar (works for both 9 and 10).
    Also check the server package:
    MII 11.x--->ServerPackage com.lighthammer.Illuminator.connectors.IDBC
    MII 12.x--->com.sap.xmii.Illuminator.connectors.IDBC
    Carefull when you set up the string because some oracle databases have servicenames instead of SID, and the url was different if you use them instead of the SID.
    For services names the url is jdbc:oracle:thin@host:port:SID
    Also check your Network firewall between MII and DB and ports too.
    Oracle9i installs with a number of default accounts.You must unlock all other accounts before using them. Oracle recommends changing all user passwords immediately after installation.

  • Connection pooling with SQL Server 2008 and Tomcat 6.0

    Hello Everybody,
    I'm creating a web application using struts 2.0 , tomcat 6.0 and sql server 2008.
    Everything works fine but i'm unable to create connection pooling with sql server 2008.Please help me to solve this issue.
    Code for this is as foolows:
    in my META-INF/context.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Context path="/spas" docBase="spas"
    debug="5" reloadable="true" crossContext="true">
    <Resource
    name="jdbc/spas_new"
    auth="Container"
    type="javax.sql.DataSource"
    maxActive="20"
    maxIdle="10"
    maxWait="-1"
    user="spas_user"
    password="spas123"
    driverClassName="com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver"
    url="jdbc:sqlserver://HGL-0053\dbo:1433;databaseName=spas_new;responseBuffering=adaptive;"/>
    </Context>
    in my web.xml
    <resource-ref>
    <description>SQL Server Datasource</description>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/spas_new</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    and in my ConnectionThread.java file i've used:
    Context ctx = new InitialContext();
    if(ctx == null )
    throw new Exception("Sorry! No Context Exception");
    DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("java:/comp/env/jdbc/spas_new");
    System.out.println("ds:"+ds);
    conn=ds.getConnection();

    Regards
    Mina

  • Unable to construct LibraryObject for class null

    I get this error "IFS-21014: Unable to construct LibraryObject for class null" when I try to run a find document in the CUP server. I believe it is some kind of document that crashed while it was being created and thus left a null entry in the tables. Since I can't 'find' it, I cannot do anything to delete it. Any Ideas?
    Thanks
    Tom

    doh' I screwed this one up. I had changed the bean path in the EM to null in hopes of trying to get it to null out. It seems that with EM and CUP you cannot remove a bean/server classpath, only rename them. So, it was looking for a class called null, which is not a good thing.

  • Unable to get the expected results with connection pooling

    Hi All,
    I have been trying to create JDBC connection pooling provided by the Apache Tomcat 4.0 with MySQL 4.0.16-nt at http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-4.1-doc/jndi-datasource-examples-howto.html and my configuration is as follows
    server.xml
    <Context path="/DBTest" docBase="DBTest"
    debug="5" reloadable="true" crossContext="true">
    <Logger className="org.apache.catalina.logger.FileLogger"
    prefix="localhost_DBTest_log." suffix=".txt"
    timestamp="true"/>
    <Resource name="jdbc/TestDB"
    auth="Container"
    type="javax.sql.DataSource"/>
    <ResourceParams name="jdbc/TestDB">
    <parameter>
    <name>factory</name>
    <value>org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory</value>
    </parameter>
    <!-- Maximum number of dB connections in pool. Make sure you
    configure your mysqld max_connections large enough to handle
    all of your db connections. Set to 0 for no limit.
    -->
    <parameter>
    <name>maxActive</name>
    <value>100</value>
    </parameter>
    <!-- Maximum number of idle dB connections to retain in pool.
    Set to 0 for no limit.
    -->
    <parameter>
    <name>maxIdle</name>
    <value>30</value>
    </parameter>
    <!-- Maximum time to wait for a dB connection to become available
    in ms, in this example 10 seconds. An Exception is thrown if
    this timeout is exceeded. Set to -1 to wait indefinitely.
    -->
    <parameter>
    <name>maxWait</name>
    <value>10000</value>
    </parameter>
    <!-- MySQL dB username and password for dB connections -->
    <parameter>
    <name>username</name>
    <value>javauser</value>
    </parameter>
    <parameter>
    <name>password</name>
    <value>javadude</value>
    </parameter>
    <!-- Class name for mm.mysql JDBC driver -->
    <parameter>
    <name>driverClassName</name>
    <value>org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver</value>
    </parameter>
    <!-- The JDBC connection url for connecting to your MySQL dB.
    The autoReconnect=true argument to the url makes sure that the
    mm.mysql JDBC Driver will automatically reconnect if mysqld closed the
    connection. mysqld by default closes idle connections after 8 hours.
    -->
    <parameter>
    <name>url</name>
    <value>jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/javatest?autoReconnect=true</value>
    </parameter>
    </ResourceParams>
    </Context>

    throw new Exception("Boom - No Context");
    DataSource ds =
    (DataSource)ctx.lookup(
    "java:comp/env/jdbc/TestDB");
    if (ds != null) {
    Connection conn = ds.getConnection();
    if(conn != null) {
    foo = "Got Connection "+conn.toString();
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rst =
    stmt.executeQuery(
    "select id, foo, bar from testdata");
    if(rst.next()) {
    foo=rst.getString(2);

    conn.close();
    }catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    public String getFoo() { return foo; }
    public int getBar() { return bar;}
    Now when I am trying to run this on browser, everything goes fine except it doesn't show the expected results, instead of that it shows following in the browser:-
    Results
    Foo Not Connected
    Bar -1
    Can anybody help me out as to why I am getting such result while everything is right from my side. Is the program unable to connect to the database or it is not supporting the JDBC version that I am using.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Vikas
