  • Creating socket connection error

    My problem is when I have router in local host, my client works fine, but when I move router to an other computer, then creating topic connection gives me error like: error creating socket connection to 127.0.0.1:14001, message: Connection refused: no further information
    (I use port 14001, in local host it works). Why does it dry to connect to localhost? If I put up router in localhost too, it starts sending messages to this one!?
    Anyway maybe this problem might have something to do with changeing the router version (swiftmq1.0 to 2.1.2)?
    Could anyone help me with this one, I'm in big hurry, router and client should work on monday :-(
    Thank You!

    Thanx 4 answer :) neville
    I have the answer allready - just I had to add 1 row in routers properties file, like:
    swiftlet.sys$jms.listeners.plainsocket.bindaddress=192.168.0.1
    It was in the SwiftMQ documentation, but I was to lazy to read all of it. My fault.
    But thanks again for trying to help! And I WILL read that jndi doc.

    Hi I am getting the following exception when connecting to Oracle 9i through JDBC...The code uses connection pooling initialized within a Lotus Domino Pooling and works great for about 8-12 tries and then starts erroring out....any help would be appreciated.

    I don't see any error on the Oracle side which makes me suspect if Domino itself is shutting down the TCP socket as part of a scheduled task/background process. Domino uses JDK ver. 1.1.8. I have tried using both classes111.zip and classes12.zip separately. Also tried including the jdbc 2 jar file. Nothing seems to prevent the socket from getting closed abruptly. Any more suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks,
    Jacob.

  • IFS-34611 error

    I am using Windows Utility for check-in/check-out feature, and when i try to check-out a versioned file, it gives me the following error.
    Unexpected error encountered 34611
    IFS-34611 error reserving version series.
    I am using IFS 1.0.8 on solaris 2.7, 8.1.6 database.
    Note :: Check-in/Check-out works from Web interface although.
    regards,
    Manish Jain.

    There was a known problem with 1.0.8.0 which may produce this error in the following circumstances:
    1) make file versioned
    2) set file's ACL to ACL1
    3) another user updates file, and set's new version's ACL to ACL2. ACL2 does not give you permission to update the file.
    4) subsequently, you are unable to create new versions of the document.
    This problem was fixed in release 1.1.

  • Ifs connection errors

    Hello,
    First please forgive my poor English.
    I'm writing a little application in java in order to test IFS
    fonctionnalities.
    When I launch the connect method from LibraryService class I
    have the followings errors :
    The following Java exception was thrown:
    oracle.ifs.common.IfsException:
    IFS-20102: Unable to start service (IfsDefault)
    oracle.ifs.common.IfsException:
    IFS-20122: Unable to construct service
    oracle.ifs.common.IfsException:
    IFS-10620: Unable to construct connection pool
    oracle.ifs.common.IfsException:
    IFS-10633: Unable to create library.
    I used IfsDefault.properties file from the server side (windows
    2000).
    Anyone can help ?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Fred

    I'm guessing you should make your monitoring software stop and start iFS after a database restart. iFS uses persistent connections to the database sometimes, and it doesn't restart itself after a restart.
    Metalink support may be able to provide better help with this as it's not a development issue.

  • IFS-34611: Error reserving version series

    Hi,
    When I tried the Building Versioning Application demo provided by the technet.oracle.com, I got the following error:
    IFS-34611: Error reserving version series
    All I have done is to version a doc1.txt file, then try the check-in/check-out functions, everything works fine at this moment. Even I deleted the doc1.txt file, there is no error. However, when i uploaded doc1.txt again after the deletion and tried to check-out the file, the above error exists.
    Can anyone help me?
    I am using iFS1.1.9 on Win2000 platform
    Thanks in advance!
    Ka.

    Hi,
    We are facing exact same problem?
    Have you got any fix for this?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks

So, I switched all of that to a ~/.mpd folder as the wiki page instructed me (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mu … _as_a_User), and for purposes of keeping organized.
    Now, however, I'm getting this error whenever I run "mpd ~/.mpd/mpd.conf"
    Failed to bind to '[::]:6600': Failed to create socket: Address family not supported by protocol
    I remember that happening before, and it had to do with user permissions and so on. I think I set "user" to "mpd" that time. "User" is now set to my user, where the .mpd folder is located. Is there a way to allow mpd to continue?
    EDIT: My mpd.conf is:
    playlist_directory "~/.mpd/playlists"
    db_file "~/.mpd/mpd.db"
    log_file "~/.mpd/mpd.log"
    pid_file "~/.mpd/mpd.pid"
    state_file "~/.mpd/mpdstate"
    user "spencer"
    mixer_type "software"
    audio_output {
    type "alsa"
    name "Sound Card"
    bind_to_address "any"

    That worked, thanks. At first it gave "failed to open database" but in subsequent startups it's not doing that-- I suppose it created the file at the first time. audio_output's not defined, I suppose that's up to me to set it? It's autodetected at this point and seems to work fine. Should I leave it that way?
    And out of curiosity, what was changed to fix my error?
    First of all: thanks for testing. my setup creates 2 static hosts, instead of letting mpd autodetect it. sometimes ipv6 detection is prefered and this *can* lead to stuff not working properly.
    Also i use absolute paths, to make sure everything works.
    mpds audio output detection works decently, you can of course enable one in ~/.mpdconf to get rid of the warning.
    Also you had one obvious error: you followed mpds wiki entry to start mpd as user. but you defined a user in mpd.conf. this will not work, since mpd can only drop previlegs to that user, when run as root.
    Oh, please mark this thread as solved.

  • What's going on here? -- Frame 11 throws "Internal Error 11004, 8122692..."

    Steps leading to "Internal Error 11004, 8122692..." follow:
    Installation notes re FrameMaker 11 -- September 19, 2012
    HW: Dell Optiplex 990 with 4G of memory
    OS: Windows XP with SP3 and current updates
    The installation proceeded without incident, and Frame 11
    launched as expected. The "Unstructured" option was chosen,
    because that is the mode in which our shop operates.
    Supporting software installed:
      - Adobe Acrobat Pro X, to be used as print driver
        by Frame 11 in order to produce .pdf output files
      - Several fonts (TrueType, PS1, and Open Type) needed
        to meet the needs of our test documents.
    Test document: an unstructured Frame book, consisting of
       one .book file and about 24 subsidiary .fm files.
       This book was prepared under Frame 8 and worked flawlessly
       in that environment.
       All of the constituent files were loaded in Frame 11 and
       saved in their converted form.
       End result: a reproduction of the original Frame 8 book,
       but converted to Frame 11 specs
    Testing procedure:
    1. When launching the .book file, Frame 11 behaved in the manner
       we've come to expect in our Frame 8 environment.
    2. We next opened and closed each .fm file in turn and determined
       that they all opened and closed correctly.
    3. Next, we ran an "Edit | Update Book" procedure, but without
       actually generating tables or lists, and without applying the
       master pages. Again, the behavior of the system was as expected.
    4. Next, we selected one of the constituent .fm files and attempted
       to print it via the "File | Print Selected Files" command on the
       "Adobe PDF" device.
    5. Result: an "Error" popup appeared with the announcement of
       "Internal Error 11004, 8122692, 8122986, 10866389. FrameMaker has
       detected a serious problem and must quit." Please see the attached
       graphic for additional details. "Frame_InternalError_.JPG:
    6. We retrieved that diagnostic file "FrameLog_12.09.19_15.11.18.txt."
       It is attached at the end of this message.
    7. We attempted to print the whole book from the "File | Print Book"
       command and encountered the same popup error message.
    Please advise how to resolve this problem. The procedure described works
    reliably on our Frame 8 installation, and we must be able to achieve this
    same functionality under Frame 11.
    with best regards,
    Radar2012

    Hi TesteurFou91,
    I have ever encoutner the error when I create an PDF via "Print Book" -> Adobe PDF. The error occurred right after I install TC Suite 4.0 from 2.5. I solve the error by running the update to FM 11.

  • Problem displaying text in console after creating socket

    Hi guys,
    I'm trying to combine 2 invididual parts of a project I'm working on, but I am having problems intregating it all together.
    I am using sockets to connect to 1 computer so it's using client server architecture. Whilst I am able to create and connect using the socket, my program is failing to print on the console. I would like to find out what I have done wrong, and get it working.
    Server code:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import javax.swing.JOptionPane;
    class Server
         public static void main (String []args) throws IOException
              try
                   Server();
              catch (IOException ex)
         public static void Server () throws IOException
              ServerSocket serverSocket=null;
              int portNo=4500;
              System.out.println("Starting");
              try
                   serverSocket=new ServerSocket(portNo);
              catch (IOException ex)
                   System.err.println("Could not create socket on port" +portNo);
                   System.exit(1);
              System.out.println("Socket listening");

  • Internal Error 11004

    I'm converting some projects from Framemaker 9 to Framemaker 11 using Dita 1.1 and the composite template. Initially, I had set up to use Dita 1.2 using the ditabase tempate but am changing them based on advice from the forum  Other than an error regarding an attribute that seemed to have been set for the dita tag in FM9 and not liked in FM11 DITA 1.1, all the files in all 3 projects converted fine to DITA 1.1 and the composite template -- except for 2 files.
    For some reason when I try to open these two files in FM11 using DITA 1.1, FM crashes with the following error message:
    Internal Error 11004, 23785796, 23786090, 26529493. FrameMaker has detected a serious problem and must quit. It generates a log file that means nothing to me.
    I can still open these two files in an XML editor, in FrameMaker 9 and in FrameMaker 11 using DITA 1.2. and I don't see anything wrong with them.  But since all the rest of the files in the projects are using DITA 1.1, I need these files to open in DITA 1.1 too.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks for the help,
    Sharon

    Hi Sharon...
    It might be easiest to just copy and paste the content into a new document created in FM11 .. if it's just two topics, that can't be worth spending much time on. If you want to track down the problem, start by deleting the xrefs, then see if it opens .. then delete any conrefs, and try again .. then delete half of the content, if it still doesn't open, put the deleted content back and try deleting the other half.
    There are various reasons why some structure might cause FM to crash, but without seeing the files, it's hard to say what that might be.
    Good luck!

  • SmbServer: could not create socket: Address already in use

    When I start SmbServerAgent,
    it fails again and again.
    In SmbServer.log there exists
    "SmbServer: could not create socket: Address already in use,"
    but SmbServer was already shutdown.
    How do resolve such issue? Thanks a lot.

    Something else is already using that TCP port.
    BTW you can only re-use a TCP port number if you're binding to a different NIC IP address than the one bound by the previous binder to that TCP port. You're not, so you can't.
