How to hide member Account dimension from BPC Administrator for Reporting

Hi experts, i need to hide some members of the Account dimension for reporting, because those members dont use it anymore, but i dont want delete them.
The question is: Does it exist any propierties for this dimension type that allows hiding members in reporting without set members in the BPC for Excel?
I can create a report which contain the members i want to show, but if any change occurs (client desire) the report is outdated.

Ignacio,
There is no function like that.
You can choose below two options.
1. Create a property like 'NOUSE' and set a value 'Y' for unused member
When you create EVDRE report, set a filter against that property that has value 'N'
then those members will not be shown at the report.
2. Create 'NOUSE' parent member and put members under this parent member.
Maybe option 1 is more easier to do that.

VPN PROBLEM CISCO ASA 5505

    Hello, I have been trying to configure a VPN with Cisco Asa 5505 and Cisco VPN client 5.X for 3 weeks and I am not being able to accomplish it, so I decided to reset to factory defaults and start over again.
     I used ASDM 6.4 VPN wizard to configure it (I selected exempt local network from NAT and enabled split tunneling, but I have tried other combinations as well).
     Tunnel seems to be established properly since I do see an endpoint while using 'sh crypto isakmp sa' but 'sh crypto ipsec sa' shows no packets encrypted or decrypted, so VPN is not working as expected. I can't ping or rdp to internal LAN:

Yes, it was a VPN client problem. I was doing test with a WWAN card and it seems it is not compatible with windows 7.
• The VPN Client on Windows 7 does not support WWAN devices (also called wireless data cards).
I should have read Release Notes before. Thank you very much for your help and effort.

Macbook pro screen blinks after connecting it to LED Cinema Display

Hello, just bought a 27 LED Cinema Display to connect my macbook pro 17 (early 2009).
Everything fine until today. After disconnecting my laptop to the display the screen of laptop blinks.
Never had this problem.

Of course you do — we all need to be sure our machines will keep working properly. Unfortunately, there's never any certainty about that, even if one's machine is working perfectly right now. But if it's any consolation, I've seen nothing posted in these forums to indicate that the blinks commonly foreshadow anything worse, so I think you can be reasonably confident that your machine isn't at the start of a predictable course of deterioration.

I can't save files anymore after upgrading to iOS8. Do I have too many on my iPad?

I'm a heavy Photoshop Touch user, with the last version of the app and iOS 8 on an iPad Air, and lately I often can't save the files I've been working on: the app suddenly quits as soon as I try to save the often multilayered image, but also lighter photographs. If I restart the app, it doesn't help.
I have a lot of files in my PS Touch library. I don't know how many exactly, or how much the whole library weighs. I have plenty of space available on the iPad (42 GB free) however, so that's not the issue. I've been uploading files to the Creative Cloud lately, and deleting them afterwards from the PS Touch library on the iPad, but there are still hundreds of files in that library which were not uploaded to CC because I didn't yet have access, and which I therefore can't delete yet to make room.
Attempts to automatically sync all files to CC have failed. The app unexpectedly quits.
Uploads to CC of the files is possible in small groups —but extremely tedious, impossible in fact as there are too many files. I can't even scroll down the library very far without provoking a freeze of the app.
Furthermore, it doesn't look like I can extract the files through iTunes. I can't see the library of documents contained in PS Touch on iTunes. I subscribe to the Creative Suite on Creative Cloud, but that's of no help, I imagine. Except that I'd perhaps be able to open all the PSDX files in Photoshop cc if I was able to retrieve them.
Question: Assuming there is a memory problem, is there any way of extracting a large number of PS Touch files from the iPad to make room and clean the app up, so that I can work with it again?
Any other idea so that I don't lose all this work?

There were 1271 files in my PS Touch library. They were most often multilayered. I copied them to iTunes in batches of 20-50, then saved them to my Mac.
I initially tried quitting all other apps to liberate some RAM, but that didn't help. It must be a memory problem within the PS Touch app itself.

How to Block Account member in input reporting for some users?

Hi experts, i need to know if is possible to block input of values for some Users in the Account Dimension so that some users can input value in the report but other user cant do it.
I try to do this from "member access profile" but this option only allow you to define access right for one specifict parent o member.
I mean, is posible to asigned to Account Dimension a Propertie type "OWNER" like ENTITY?
For example: one user must to input value for the Account member "CASH", but other user dont, however i have to show the same input reporting for both users.

I would think you could do one of the following:
Either set account as a secured dimension. You would then define security profiles for all account groups and assign those to your users / teams as appropriate. Would take a while to setup initially, but if your users don't change that much it shouldn't be too difficult to manage once it's done.
Setup different input templates that only showed the accounts you wanted each group of users to see. Put the templates in different site folders and assign access to those sites as required. users would then only have access to open the template applicable to them. Would require that you basically make duplicate copies or your current template, modify and save to different site folders which could become a pain if the template requires changes (since you would now have to make the same change multiple times).
Setup a macro in the current template so that you need to enter a password to unlock the send commands for the respective accounts. I don't know if it can be setup to support multiple passwords - assuming it can, password 1 would unlock all accounts, password 2 would only unlock CASH accounts, password 3 would only unlock LIABILITY accounts, etc. You then distribute the passwords to the users as appropriate.

Partner Bank Type not Updating

When running transaction F-110, the programme will not pick up DM documents on customer accounts due to the fact the Partner Bank Type field is not populated.
As such I have to do this manually for each vendor every month. If this was populated invoices would be automatically netted against debit memo's
to explain what's happening in our company here is the process...
When we order a material from vendor - we normally raise a credit memo, after that when the quality department finds any fault with the product what they do is they do some repair work and they create a surcharge against it. This surcharge will create a creditmemo.
Quality Management is implemented in our systems.
A notification is created in Qm01
Surcharge is added in Qm02
And this produces a debit memo request (a sales order) in Va03
Every night Batch input session runs in VF04 and billing document is produced.
From billing document u2013accounting document is produced.
Here when we run F110- it should normally net off credit balance with the new debit balances, but F110 cannot select these documents as partner bank type is not updating.
(Both master records checked. And its happening for all the vendors)
1) whether there is an opportunity to create (or) populate the field Partner bank type in creation of billing document.
2) Any BTE's will help me like (00001120).

I think you can use a substitution for field Bank Type at Item Level (TCODE OBBH). This would fill your bank type when you post the document in FI, then you won't have problems in F110.

Signing a document using an existing certificate

Hi, I've been searching for APIs to digitally sign documents.
I've successfully signed documents using Keystore and KeyPairGenerator (both of them work), but I haven't been able to use an existing certificate (a .cer file) to sign a document.
Can anyone help me with this?
An example code of signing a document using (for example) a certificate stored in myCertificate.cer would be really helpful.

Ok, here's what I've got:
myCert.cer (certificate)
myKey.pfx (PKCS12 keystore)
With this two files I should be able to get the private key (from myKey.pfx), the public key (from the certificate)... and use this to sign the document.
Can anyone help me to do that? (in Java Code)

Hi Jonathan,
Thats was indeed fantastic and it worked.
The issue seems to be a combination of current date (factory calender) + date when the material is available from the schedule line.
In my case the material was available on 17/03/08 in the schedule line and the delivery screen was taking the current date - 15/03/08.
I changed it to the date inline with the schedule line and it worked.

ORA-03113 while importing a file

Hi all.
I know this is a very general error but, I need some help trying to figure out the workaround or the cause of this error.
I am importing a big export file (like half a gig) created in a 10.2 environment, into a brand new 11.1.0.7 environment. I have tried 2 or 3 times and I always get the same ORA-03113 at the same line in the export file where it is trying to import a procedure. Any hints?

Yes, there are several trace files generated at the time of the error.
In one of them, there is a ORA-07445: Exception encountered: core dump ... Address not mapped to object.
It also generated a dump file.
What should I do next?

If you want post the invoice prior to GR than you should not check the Gr-based invoice in the PO invoice tab then system will allow you to post the invoice.
and later you can post the GR.
until you post the GR you will see the open GR in MB5S tcode.

Virtual directory mapping in weblogic 7.0

I'm trying to define a virtual mapping in my web application deployed in Weblogic
7.0 sp2 and it's not working.
I've defined in my weblogic.xml

But when I try to access my images like this:

I'm doing the same as you, and it does not work. I'm using weblogic 7.0 sp2 in
a Windows 2000 Proffesional. Maybe it's a problem with weblogic/OS version?

Schema And Schema Objects

MySQL is a database server that can have several 'databases' each with it's own connection params, privileges, users and objects (tables, views etc). Oracle however has the structure of a 'single database' with 'categorized' objects (if I am correct), that is a database with one or more schemas (usually mapping to users) each containing objects (tables, views etc). If I want to build an application on oracle (I am using Oracle XE) that has several subsystems or modules (HR, Finance, Operations etc) and I want the subsystems to have their own boundaries (like their own database in MySQL, or their own schema in Oracle) containing only relevant objects but interconnected by the usage of the application (the application creates value or functionality across these subsystems), how do I go about structuring my database to handle this, since schemas map to users.
Putt another way, since I'll be working with a user account (a schema) can I have schemas within this account / schema to contain objects for the modules. Wherever the 'module schemas' are, how do I interact with them collectively with my login account which I will use as the database connection within the application.
I don't know if this is the best way to go about it, but my project requirement has changed to one that should have clearly defined modules having similar structures in the database that can be scaled up to their own database in a database server or each in it's own database server.

I did not mention this, but I also already tried that without success. Whether 'DEPARTMENT_VIEW' or 'DEPARTMENTVIEW', I still get 'no data found'. I did not expect to succedd with 'DEPARTMENT_VIEW' just like that, because it is the name of the view in the other schema (HR) hence I made the synomyn 'DEPARTMENTVIEW' pointing to it, which hasn't worked either.
I tried this query :
"SELECT table_name FROM user_tab_columns"
I could see only the tables defined in my schema. This makes me wonder how I can run a query against 'USER_TAB_COLUMNS' for a SYNONYM as the table_name, when 'USER_TAB_COLUMNS' has no entry for any of my SYNONYMS in the first place ??

11g on VMWare Not Starting Service, ORA-12560 etc.

It's obvious that my Listener is up and running but that the Oracle Service never got started. I'm using a VMware instance of Win2003 Server with Oracle 11g on it.
I'm having very similar issues to the person that wrote this:

I'm working on a VMware instance, and I'm not trying to connect from another machine, so I don't think I'll need a 'tnsnames.ora'.
I did review my listener.ora and sqlnet.ora
and I did adjust my hosts file (on this Win2003 Server, vmware instance), adding an entry to resolve local host and also the FQ machine name to 127.0.0.1
This I was unsure about since when I ping the FQ machine name (property of My Computer) I get a unique ip address.
There's also the VMware issues of what Ethernet connection setting to use: Bridged, NAT or Host Only.
I've tried to look at logs and config files: connection, startup, trace log, etc.
Set tracing on and saw some errors in the trace, but not sure about how to go about debugging those.
It's apparent that I'll need to start the Database with oradim or a version specific command, oradimxx but I wasn't sure what to use for my -pfile parameter, or how to create orainit.ora or configure that file.
One last thing: Previously my program group for 11g had 'Enterprise Manager' which brought up the webpage and showed that the database was up, uptime and other stats. Now that menu link has disappeared.
Any suggestions on all of these issues ? TIA.

I've found the answer on Metalink Note 249212.1, which basically says that Oracle doesn't certifies any product on any VMWare virtualization products, however Oracle will support the product isolating the relationship among operating system and the Oracle product, to known issues or not known issues BUT not related to the existence of an hypervisor layer (VMWare in this case, and distinct of Oracle VM).
In other words, if you have an issue where a certified OS+Oracle product is running over a VMWare product, you'll be lucky if the error is replicated without the VMWare product, otherwise it will be an issue induced from the hypervisor layer, therefore the hypervisor provider must solve.
Anybody interested will follow similar proceedings with another VM products like Virtuozzo (Note 412431.1), Xen (Note 417770.1), this clearly shows a commercial strategy...not technical barriers.
