I have/had the same problem, just started this morning. I tried a system restore to a known good date. I still had the problem so I rolled restored the system to the latest.
Thinking that it might have something to do with priviliges, I reviewed my user account and noticed it was set to "Administrator". On a whim, I switched my user account from administrator to "standard user" and I'll be... the issue dissapeared. I have no idea why. But I thought I'd pass it along.

Why are my LabView Dialog Boxes no longer modal when using the Example LabVIEW Operator Interfaces?

I have a step in my sequence that pops up a modal LabVIEW dialog box. My LabVIEW vi uses the TestStand - Start Modal Dialog.vi and TestStand - Stop Modal Dialog.vi as described in the example and it works as advertised when I'm using the TestStand Development environment however when I use the sample Operator Interfaces distributed with TestStand the Dialog boxes lose focus. I have the VI Properties->Window Appearance set to Dialog and have followed all of the instructions I could find for making a dialog modal. I've also reviewed all the documentation I could get my hands on including previous posts on this board and didn't see anything obvious.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may be missing? Has anyone else experienced this problem and come up with the solution?
I am using LabVIEW 8.0 along with TestStand 3.5.

Running the example modal dialog in the teststand3.5 examples folder and using labVIEW8.0, I notice that when the Dialog is displayed its not active, but it is modal to the OI. Clicking on the Dialog panel makes it active. If you try to click on the OI panel behind, you can not. Is this what you are seeing?
I am using the Full labVIEW IO as supplied with TestStand and the example VI in the modal dialog folder is as supplied.
The LabVIEW Adapter is still configured to use the active labVIEW developement environment.
If I run the same example, only this time using LabVIEW7.1, the Dialog panel is active.
There is a patch to take it to labVIEW8.01, at this moment in time I am not sure what the update fixes.
There does seem to be a problem with TestStand3.5 (engine) and LabVIEW 8.0.

Ios7 Update Problems on iPad 3 - My iPad is not going to black screen after not being touched. Also, am I crazy; I can't find timing adjustment to go to black. Finally, iPad slow to switch between some catgagories in control panel

O.K. I found 3 issues on my iPad 3 after ios update:
1. iPad does not go to black after non-use
2. iPad is slow to switch between some catagories in control panel
3. Speaking of control panel; have I lost my mind? I can't find time adjustment responsible for iPad going to black.

Outside of the contact number for that you've already used I don't know another way of direct contact. Here are some things that they may or may not of had you try that might help you. If you will go to the settings app and pick general on the right-hand side you will see accessibility. Within that you can adjust a text size make the text bowl you can also increase the contrast. You can also adjust the brightness and control panel.
As for Siri again in the settings app under general you should see Siri on the right-hand side with the switch to turn it on. If that is turned on and you're still having issues
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.

Using the soft front panel to take a differential measurement.

I have a PXI- 5152 digitizer and need to use the soft front panel to take a differential measurement. I found how to do this by programmatically, but cannot figure out how to do this on the soft front panel. Can anyone help?

From you second sentence in your question I assume you already found this resource, but just in case I wanted to provide you with a white paper called Differential Measurements Using High-Speed Digitizers. This is a fantastic resource that includes flowcharts and instructions for hardware self-calibration, probe compensation, gain and offset calibration, and actually taking the differential measurement itself.
As far as taking a differential measurement with the NI SCOPE Soft Front Panel, are you talking about taking a single differential measurement or are you talking about taking a differential measurement between two channels on the PXI-5152?
You mentioned that you found how to do this programmatically, but is there a reason you specifically want to use the NI SCOPE Soft Front Panel instead of LabVIEW?

Is it possible to use old Apple Flat Panel Display (62 watt power adapter) with MacBookPro 13" Mid-2012 running 10.8.4? Tried mini display to VGA cable

Is it possible to use old Apple Flat Panel Display (62 watt power adapter) with a MacBookPro 13" Mid-2012 laptop? Would like to use larger screen when working at home. I have a mini display port to VGA cable and have tried to hook up the old display but it seems not to work. When I try to activate the screen on the old display-- a window comes up in the MacBookPro and asks me if I want to shut down the computer. What little I have read it that the MacBookPro had Thunderbolt and the old display may not be compatible? Any assistance would be appreciated.

This doesn't have anything to do with your problem, but it will likely cause other issues with your e-mail.
Here's my standard recommendation concerting the use of A-V software to deal with potentially infected messages:
Never use ClamXav (or any other A-V software) to move (quarantine) or delete e-mail. It will corrupt the mailbox index which could cause loss of other e-mail and other issues with functions such as searching. It may also leave the original e-mail on your ISP's e-mail server and will be re-downloaded to your hard drive the next time you check for new mail.
So, if you choose to "Scan e-mail content for malware and phishing" in the General Preferences, make sure you do not elect to either Quarantine or Delete infected files.
When possibly infected e-mail files are found:
Right-click/Control-click on either the infection or file name in the ClamXav window.
Select "Reveal In Finder" from the pop-up menu.
When the window opens, double-click on the file to open the message in your e-mail client application.
Read the message and if you agree that it is junk/spam/phishing then use the e-mail client's delete button to delete it (this is especially important when the word "Heuristics" appears in the infection name).
If you disagree and choose to retain the message, return to ClamXav and choose "Exclude From Future Scans" from the pop-up menu.
If this is a g-mail account and those messages continue to show up after you have deleted them in the above manner, you may need to log in to webmail using your browser, go to the "All Mail" folder, find the message(s) and use the delete button there to permanently delete them from the server.
To fix the corrupted mailbox index(es), highlight each one that was corrupted and choose Rebuild from the appropriate menu.

How can I use a single query panel with two view criteria?

I have a requirement to allow users to change the "display mode" on a search results tree table for an advanced search page. What this will do is change the structure of how the data is laid out. In one case the tree table is 3 levels deep, in the other case it's only 2 with different data being at the root node.
What I've done so far:
1) I exposed the data relationship for these two ways of viewing the data in the application module's data model.
2) I created a view criteria in the two view objects that are at the root of the relationships, where (for simplicity sake) I'm only comparing a single field.

When no inspection record number (the only search field so far) is supplied in the query panel, then it behaves correctly. Namely, the tree tables shows all search results. However, when an inspection record number is supplied the tree table that was created with the query panel in use (remember there are two query panels, one of them is hidden) shows a single result (this is correct) while the other tree table (the one with the hidden query panel that isn't in use) shows all results (this is NOT correct).
Is what I'm trying to accomplish even doable? If so, what am I missing?

I ended up keeping one query panel permanently visible and the other permanently hidden. When performing a search using the table that has the hidden query panel, I seed the query descriptor for the hidden query panel using the visible query panel's query descriptor and then delegate the request:

How can i use the same front panel graph in more than one events in an event structure?

i want to display the signals from my sensorDAQ in a graph.but i have more than one event in the event structure to acquire the signal and display it in the graph.the first event is to acquire the threshold signals and its displayed in the graph as a feedback.after the first event is executed, i will call the second event,where the further signals are acuired and compared with the threshold signals from the event 1.my question is how can i use the same front panel control in more than two events in the event structure?please answer me i'm stuck.

Saving parameters entered in a gui dialog to be used in the main panel

Hi,
I'm having a nightmare at the moment.
I've finished creating a program for my final year project, that is all comand line at the moment.
i'm required to design a GUI for this. i've started already and have a main panel that has a few buttons one of which is a setParameters button. which opens up a file dialog that allows the user to enter parameters that will be used by the main panel later on.
I'm having trouble imagining how these parameters will be accessed by the main Panel once they are saved.
At the moment, without the GUI i have get and set methods in my main program which works fine. Is this the kind of thing i'll be using for this?

What you need is my ParamDialog. I think it could be perfect for this sort of thing. There are a few references in it to some of my other classes namely
StandardDialog. Which you can find by searching for other posts on this forum. But if you'd rather not find that you could just use JDialog instead
WindowUtils.visualize() this is just a helper method for getting things visualized on the screen. You can just use setBounds and setVisible and you'll be fine.
You are welcome to use and modify this code but please don't change the package or take credit for it as your own work.
If you need to bring up a filedialog or a color chooser you will need to make some modifications. If you do this, would you mind posting that when you are done so that myself and others can use it? :)

I would like to convert a matlab file into a .dll and use it in LabVIEW. However, when I run the .dll in LabVIEW I get an error stating "... Procedure not found". What could this be? Can anyone help me...

I wish to convert my Matlab files into .dll's so that I can use them in LabVIEW. I am using 'mcc' and 'mbuild' of Matlab to convert my .m files into .c and .dll.

How should I resolve this issue. Should I add any other Matlab .dll's in course of making my .dll?

You might just have to contact Apple and ask them to remove it (losing it). Usually people clear a balance by buying one song and having the exact remainder charged to their credit card, but if you don't have a US credit card you cannot do that.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

How to use dll in Labview ?

I compile this code to dll file with VC++2010 filename is test_dll.dll .

After that, I put Call Library Function node in editor and double click Call Library Function node. I browse test_dll.dll into Library name or path and set function prototype to int32_t main(int32_t a); but it show error Call Library Function Node 'test_dll.dll:main':function not found in libraly. How to use dll in Labview ? And I have more question is what is differrent from Tools -> Import -> Shared Library(.dll) and use Call Library Function node.

The issue you are having is that LabVIEW is not capable of using C++ DLLs directly. It only handles C DLLs. This does not mean that if you you cannot use the DLL if it's compiled with the C++ compiler as opposed to the C compiler. Rather, it means that you must take extra steps in order to use it from LabVIEW. The primary issue is that of name mangling or adornment. This is discussed here: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4877. Basically you need to prepend extern "C" in front of your prototypes in your header files. Looking for a way to switch views using Javascript

Hi ! I'm currently studying Acrobat 3D. I've got a PDF document with a 3D Annotation, which was imported from a U3D file. I defined 3 views : "initial", "front" and "top". My problem is that I'm looking for a way to switch views using Javascript. In fact, when I list cameras using the following code, I only get one camera called "DefaultView". So my question is : where has my "initial", "front" and "top" views been ?
