  • Retreiving the day in oracle business rule

    Hi,
    I am new to business rules.I am searching for a way to retrieve the current day inside the business rule.I've tried with the Calendar's DAY_OF_WEEK variable but it is returning the integer whereas I want characrter representation.Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Thnaks for your reply but I've already tried with that and as I've mentioned above, it would return you an integer representing the day of the week;not the day.
    Thanks

  • Can I modify the the day type with a time rule???

    Hello,
              I´m trying to modify the day type,I want to change in some particular cases the day type from 1 to 0 for example. I´m looking in the documentation but I don´t find no operation to do this trough a time rule.
    I think that it would be abble to do with a function that modify the table PSP.
    Anybody knows how can I do it??
    Thank you very much!!!.Regards,

    I recently purchased FaceTime from the Application Store. After approx. ±10 meg, the application resets and starts downloading again. I have tried to download it at different times of the day but with the same results. I have been in contact with Apple support and have tried different options with the same result. I cannot download a new Version because in my Purchased List the applicaiton (FaceTime) is still there, and because I have halted it it tells me to resume. I can’t, because the same thing is going to happen. I have tried all the various troubleshooting tips supplied by my ISP and also Apple Support with no luck. I am currently working on a IMac OS 10.6.7. Has anybody got any ideas? Any suggestion would help. Thanks

    As I said, I tried everything what the manual says, but hard luck. I have taken an appointment for today, lets see what happens.
    Also there is no activity on unit when I use the remote. The unit is stuck on the first page itself where we have to choose the language. The unit seems to be fine to me but the real problem is remote does'nt have activity. The IR is not responding while pressing any of the button.
    Good luck with your appointment.
    Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
    The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

  • Find the same day in a range then find the difference between the days

    Need assistnace with the following .
    I have a table of ids for courses and each course class is on a day. I have to take the first day the course class is on and find the next same day then work out the difference in days.
    eg. a course class is on a saturday then have to go thru the course class associated to a course and find the next saturday then work out the difference.
    Anyone able to help - it would be much appreciated

    course class id date day
    abcdefa 18/12/2002 wednesday
    abcdefb 19/12/2002 thursday
    abcdefc 20/12/2002 friday
    zxvyza 17/12/2002 monday
    zxvyzb 20/12/2002 thursday
    zxvyzc 21/12/2002 friday
    zxvyzd 24/12/2002 monday
    zxvyze 26/12/2002 wednesday
    lmnopa 11/11/2002 tuesday
    lmnopb 12/11/2002 wednesday
    lmnopc 14/11/2002 friday
    lmnopd 19/11/2002 wednesday
    lmnope 21/11/2002 friday
    where abcdefa, abcdefbc, abcdefc are for course id abcdef
    and the other set of course class ids are for course id zxvyz.
    and 3rd set relates to course id lmnop.
    expectation:
    the difference between days for the first set of data to be 0
    the difference between days for 2nd set to be 7 days (ie. take the first day for the course class and see if can find another that is the same and then work out the difference i.e monday) then return the difference then go to next course class id.
    the diff between 3rd set is calc the diff between Wednesdays, ignore the last friday and find the next course class id. the answer here will be 7 days.
    I have worked out the days from the dates (although the above is only an example)but wasnt sure how to pick the same days then work out the difference and then move to the next course class id. Some course classes wont have another same day.

    Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix?
    Thanks

    Try this
    Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).
    Using the phone while charging doesn't create a problem.. I do it all the time

  • Getting the name of the day of week, like Monday, etc

    I have a query that has dates down the rows.  Next to this date we want the the actually name of the day like Monday.  My thoughts were to create this in an update rule but i was asked to do it via a custmer exit in the query.    i am not sure it will work there?   will it return for each row with a date if I put the varialbe in the row?

    I think i misunderstood you.
    I believe you will need a virtual characteristic for accomplishing this.
    If you are new to this topic there is a good how to that can help.
    The basic idea should be that you'll populate the virtual char on the fly.
    The backdrwas are: performance, you will need to have "date" in the drill down, some extra development work etc'.
    I believe that the way to go is with update rules.

  • Site of the Day?

    I maybe have double post, sorry if I have.
    A few years ago I came to this site for my daily inspiration
    and to see all the new tricks to flash integrations. Additionally
    to see just how many people actually follow a code of ethics and
    design principles. Namely building sites with minimal 508
    compliance for their audiences with valid scripts.
    But now I find myself looking at the "Site of the Day" and
    asking why would Adobe / Macromedia and the site owner allow this
    to be posted?
    Take today’s SotD, the first thing I see when I go
    there is very little 508 compliance and at least two HTMLscripting
    errors.
    No <NOSCRIPT>
    The no Java Script alternate page has
    Java Script
    Using the embed tag
    omitted the script type in the Java
    Script for their marketing partner (both pages)
    Additionally if you think about this from the end user
    perspective, what if they do not have Java Script? Okay he's
    thought about it and put some textual content there. But hey! Now
    there are no images to be shown! I've now missed out on putting a
    name and story with a face (Marketing 101).
    Now, colors! Well the pictures are colorful but the
    navigation links are so close to the fade the blend together, less
    the rollover. Still the shades are less than 30% in difference and
    the size comes in to play heavily now.
    To tell you the truth this SotD has the least amount of
    errors of all that I have seen going back to 2000 or more.
    I am sure some of you might be thinking I am being a jerk at
    pointing to this site as an example or perhaps you are disagreeing
    with what I have said.
    To the first, you might be right. Yet it is a learning
    experience for all of you that observe what I have noted above. To
    the second, there is nothing to dispute.
    Points to ponder: If you plan ahead to develop a website
    think very hard about the intended audience and their possible
    impairments. When developing sites for any government or
    organization and those funded as such you need to do your absolute
    best to adhere to the Section 508 Standards and to validate your
    HTML, CSS and Java Script.
    Yes I know even the most prominent universities and well
    known government agencies and others do not always follow these
    rules, shame on them. There is always a way to properly develop to
    avoid errors, take your time, do not get lazy and if all else fails
    RTM (Read the Manual). Additionally check the cross browser and O/S
    compatibilities.
    Have questions about these principles? Here are some good

    One last thing I have to say! Dreamweaver, FrontPage and all
    the rest are WYSIWYG editors not validation tools. It comes down to
    just how knowledgeable you are and how much effort you are willing
    to put in to a project.

    Thanks for the suggestion Bob!

  • Useful Code of the Day:  Multipart Form File Upload

    So, you want to upload files to your web server, do ya? Well, I've seen this topic posted a few times in the last month or so and many of the response I've seen here haven't included definitive answers. Of course, the actual problems vary, but ultimately, a bunch of people want to do file upload from an applet or application to an existing file upload script (CGI, PHP, JSP, etc.) on a web server. And invariably, there are problems with formatting the HTTP request to get things working.
    Well, I had a need to do the same thing. I realize there are other solutions out there, such as some sample code that comes with Jakarta Commons Upload. But since we all like reusable code, and we also all seem to like reinventing wheels, here's my go at it: MultiPartFormOutputStream!
    MultiPartFormOutputStream is a specialized OutputStream-like class. You create your URLConnection to the server (a static method included can do this for a URL for you, as some of the settings, doInput and doOutput specifically, seem to confuse people). Then get the OutputStream from it and create a boundary string (a static method to create one is provided as well) and pass them to the constructor. Now you have a MultiPartFormOutputStream which you can use to write form fields like text fields, checkboxes, etc., as well as write file data (from Files, InputStreams or raw bytes).
    There are some convenience methods for writing primative type values as well as strings, but any higher level objects (aside from Files or InputStreams) aren't supported. (You can always serialize and pass the raw bytes.)
    Sample usage code is below. Also, any recommendations for improvement are requested. The code was tested with the Jakarta Struts.
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    * <code>MultiPartFormOutputStream</code> is used to write
    * "multipart/form-data" to a <code>java.net.URLConnection</code> for
    * POSTing.  This is primarily for file uploading to HTTP servers.
    * @since  JDK1.3
    public class MultiPartFormOutputStream {
          * The line end characters.
         private static final String NEWLINE = "\r\n";
          * The boundary prefix.
         private static final String PREFIX = "--";
          * The output stream to write to.
         private DataOutputStream out = null;
          * The multipart boundary string.
         private String boundary = null;
          * Creates a new <code>MultiPartFormOutputStream</code> object using
          * the specified output stream and boundary.  The boundary is required
          * to be created before using this method, as described in the
          * description for the <code>getContentType(String)</code> method.
          * The boundary is only checked for <code>null</code> or empty string,
          * but it is recommended to be at least 6 characters.  (Or use the
          * static createBoundary() method to create one.)

    I have a weird problem here. I'm using the Java POST (slightly altered for my purposes) mechanism but the receiving script doesn't receive any form variables (neither files nor regular form fields). If I try using the same receiving script with a regular upload form, it works. Because I've been pulling my hair out, I even went so far as to analyze the ip-packets. I can see that the file is actually sent through the Java POST mecahnism. Anybody any ideas. Here's the ip-packet of the failing upload:
    ----- Hypertext Transfer Protocol -----
    HTTP: POST /fotoxs/upload.cfm HTTP/1.1
    HTTP: Connection: Keep-Alive
    HTTP: Content-Type: multipart/form-data; boundary=-----------------------------fb2649be18
    HTTP: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.7 [en] (WinNT; U)
    HTTP: Accept-Language: en-us
    HTTP: Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
    HTTP: Accept: image/gif, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, */*
    HTTP: CACHE-CONTROL: no-cache
    HTTP: Host: newmarc
    HTTP: Content-Length: 15511
    ----- Hypertext Transfer Protocol -----

    HTTP: Content-Disposition: form-data; name="uploadFile"; filename="out.jpg"
    HTTP: Content-Type: image/jpeg
    HTTP: Data
    ....[data packets]
    The one that works (from the regular post) is as follows:
    ----- Hypertext Transfer Protocol -----
    HTTP: POST /fotoxs/upload.cfm HTTP/1.1
    HTTP: Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, application/x-gsarcade-launch, application/x-shockwave-flash, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/msword, */*
    HTTP: Referer: http://localhost:8500/fotoxs/test.cfm
    HTTP: Accept-Language: nl
    HTTP: Content-Type: multipart/form-data; boundary=---------------------------7d41961f201c0
    HTTP: Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
    HTTP: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
    HTTP: Host: newmarc
    HTTP: Content-Length: 59022
    HTTP: Connection: Keep-Alive
    HTTP: Cache-Control: no-cache
    ----- Hypertext Transfer Protocol -----
    HTTP: -----------------------------7d41961f201c0
    HTTP: Content-Disposition: form-data; name="FiletoUpload"; filename="D:\My Documents\My Pictures\fotomarc.jpg"
    HTTP: Content-Type: image/pjpeg
    HTTP: Data
    ----- Hypertext Transfer Protocol -----
    HTTP: HTTP/1.1 100 Continue
    HTTP: Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0
    HTTP: Date: Sun, 07 Mar 2004 17:14:41 GMT
    ....[data packets]
    One detail worth mentioning is that I don't read a file from harddisk, I'm streaming it directly to the connection outputstream from an image compression utility. But I can see the data in the ip-packets, and even if that somehow didn't work right, it doesn't explaing the fact that the receiving scripts reports no form fields whatsoever.
    Thanks,
    Marc

  • Calculate the amt according to the days?

    Hi,
    Can I realize that the total amount in Billing is calculated by price * days?
    The days are the days from creation date of sales order to PGI date.
    tks in advance.

    Are you saying that if I reset my tv and reregister it with my itunes library, that itunes will revert to not ignoring symbols and certain adjectives when listing movies alphabetically.

  • IDVD how to set chapters markers according to the day

    iDVD wont let me set chapters markers according to the day of the trip. No good by minutes! I did have markers in the imported iMovie which have been ignored.

    Hi
    iDVD can only set Chapters in time interval e.g. every 5:th minute
    iMovie'13 (Version 10.0.x) - CAN NOT set Chapters at all
    Rest - You must use the Chapter Mark - Not the Note Mark (it will be ignored)
    If You've done this and they do not show up in iDVD - iDVD pref file most probably got corrupted. Trash it and re-try with a NEW iDVD project.

  • Formula to categorize period of the day

    Hi,
    I need to create a formula that categorizes period of the day the Day  - from 07am to 06:59pm would be day shift and night shift from 19pm to 06:59am. However the table where the data came from have date and time format and I wish to ignore date. Any suggestion. I use crystal XI.

    create a formula that contains the following
    formula name : time period
    time(your database field)
    Now Create a grouping using the time period formula and select specified order and this give you the ability to group your records on a specific time frame.

  • Define selection rule for Day type

    Dear Experts
        As I want to "Define selection rule" for "day types" in Time Management-> work schedule-> Day types-> define selection rule, the third and 4th columns are default weekdays of SAP, But weekend is different in our system. How can we handle this subject? Can we change these columns to our needs? How?
    For example we want to define that friday is not working day in our company and it should be payed, is there any other option?
    Thank you all,...

    Hi friend,
    Check:
    Time Management -> Work Schedules -> Period Work Schedules -> Define Period Work Schedules
    btw, you should check factory Holiday calendar (Tcode: SCAL) and generate Work schedule for year.
    IMG: Time Management -> Work Schedules -> Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules -> Generate Work Schedules in Batch
    Regard,
    Michael.

    Since the update, when I use ical , and am on the day view, I no longer can scroll down through multiple days; it stops at one day only. Seems like a poor design change. Any idea how to reverse this?
