Ignore Find Sequence dialog box

During the execution if TestStand does not the .seq file, it display's the dialog for Find <missing sequence name>.seq dialog.
I would like to avoid displaying that dialog to the user and continue the execution with the next available sequnce.
Is there any option which can disable displaying that dialog to the user?
Thanks,

  • Find/change dialog box out of reach

Hi, I’m unable to use the find/change dialog box; it’s out of reach!
Even when I try to change the resolution of my screen, I still can’t get a grab at it

I tried changing the resolution (see the two screen capture), but not trashing the preferences; will try that!

  • Find Font dialog box appears when opening files

This didn't used to happen, but now whenever I open an Illustrator file, the "Find Font" dialog opens as though the fonts I'm using aren't found. Not sure what it wants me to do because no matter what I try nothing resolves. I simply click the "Done" button and go about my business. And there are no problems. Why is this happening? and why now? My fonts are always loaded before I open the file, the file looks and handles just fine.

I realise this is an old thread but recently experienced this problem and found a solution that worked for me.

    Illustrator CS6
FYI, my case is slightly different from the OP's: Illustrator was exhibiting this behaviour with only one of my files so I guessed that the problem might be with that specific file. The Find Font dialog box would appear every time the file was opened, even though it showed that all the necessary fonts were present. I didn't have admin rights for that machine and couldn't delete any preference files. So, I tried creating a new .ai file, copying everything over and saving it with a new name. No more dialog box after that.
    Hope this helps.

  • Finding hidden dialog boxes (aka alert boxes)

(note: most commonly the issue I describe below happens when the coding application CODA looses contact with one of my servers and an alert box informs me of this. I cannot continue using CODA until I click ok in the dialogue.)
I use spaces a lot but when one of the applications I am using throws an alert while I am in a different "space" the alert ends up behind other windows that I am currently viewing (like Firefox or finder). Normally expose would make it easy for me to find these dialogue boxes, but it seems that not all modal windows appear when using expose. I thought that making the application responsible for the dialogue box active might bring the alert to the foreground but that is not true either. I have resorted to going space-by-space and moving windows out of the way until I find the alert box - highly annoying and time consuming.
Is there a quick way to find these alert boxes and/or restrict them to the space that the parent application is living in? Anything to make this less tedious?

@baltwo ... my question is not about why I am getting the alert (I know why and it happens at appropriate times (ex. when I have no internet connection)) but rather how can I more easily find the alert box when it does appear. It's terrible to go space-by-space moving windows around just to find a dialogue box...

  • Not finding the dialog box to switch from tryout version to licensed version

I can't seem to figure this out:
Please look at the dialog box that you are facing - the one that looks like you are dealing with a tryout version. To the left of the tab that says Continue Trial, do you see a tab for License This Product or some similar wording? If so, click on License This Product and insert your purchased serial number when it is asks for it along with other requested information.

    green1964
When you open the Premiere Elements 12 tryout, are you greeted by a dialog that asks you if you want to Continue with the tryout or Buy?
If you have the tryout and it has not expired, you should be getting that box.
By the time that you enter the Premiere Elements tryout workspace, that dialog should pop up wanting for your response.
Please try again or explain what is happening when you open the tryout before the expiration date and before you have purchased a serial number and applied it to the tryout.
    Thanks.

  • Find Font Dialog box opening Ai files

The Find Font box always opens immediately upon some Ai CS3 files, even when there are no missing or substituted fonts indicated.
User has to hit done to clear the box. It is anoying several users thru out the studio....
Any ideas what would cause this?

One possibility though unlikely is that there is a symbol with a font that was saved with the default document profile and it contains a font that is not being recognized however that woud not affect Illustrator  when launching without creating a docuent first.
So this not likely then it would mean one of two things the font cache is corrupt and/or the prefences are corrupt.
Always give some idea of your system and version of Illustrator and something about your plug ins as well.
That is also a possiblity you have a plug in that might have a conflict causing this and or a thrid party application running which is in conflict with Illustrator. This should go without saying always when you have strange behavior to suspect a conflict.
Are you runing  or haave you installed any knew fonts or plug ins or software any updates.
You should tell us about these things. Remember we do not know how you are set up.
    But you can try this
    Mac
    1. Quit Illustrator.
2.Go to User/username/Library/Preferences/ Adobe illustrator CS# Settings and trash the settings folder, the whole folder not just the contents of the folder..
    3. Start Illustrator. Illustrator creates a new preferences file.
    PC
    1. Quit Illustrator.
    2. Rename the AIPrefs file (for example, to AIPrefs.old) in the Users/(user)/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS# Settings folder.
    3. Start Illustrator. Illustrator creates a new preferences file.

  • Dialog Boxes pop up behind other windows :(

Once in a while an application wants my attention. It would then throw up a dialog box and start bouncing in the Dock. So far so good.
Unfortunately, if the application's window is positioned behind something else, the dialog box pops up in front of its parent window, but BEHIND whatever is in front of it!
Now I know that the app needs my attention but I have to find it and then find its dialog box (the app itself is unresponsive till I deal with the dialog).
This behavior happens in many different apps (Toast and ControllerMate are good examples) and is a real pain. Is there a setting somewhere that I missed or mis-interpreted?
    Many thanks in advance
    A>

    Thanks!
I thought I was just being stupid ( I do that sometimes).
Followup: is there an app out there that would bring dialog boxes upfront, so that I do not have to hunt them down?
Or maybe there is an applescript that activates a bouncing app?
    Thx!

  • Changing Framemaker (8) dialog box size(s)

    We are using Framemaker 8.
We have run into a problem because our files are embedded many layers down on our servers. If we move a folder, when Frame tries to relink the graphics (we always import as reference), the path name is ALWAYS truncated....not only is the path truncated, but sometimes the filename itself is cut off (we often have long file names).
We were looking for a way to enlarge the dialog box...someone told us to check in the maker.ini file but (even according to the Customizing Frame Products document) all it seems you can do is change the position of the dialog, not the size.
Even doing a List of References doesn't always show the full pathname properly.
If anyone has any solutions, please let me know.

RE: the Frame 7 dialog box modification from Klaus Daube...I emailed Klaus and here is his reply:
"You all have asked for an updated version of the UI-modifactions for FrameMaker 8. I have fed you with hopes to the end of 2008/beginning of
    2009 ...
In the meantime Adobe has released FrameMaker 9 which introduces a new user interface. IMHO it is very good although it needs some releraning (and still has its bugs). Some of the new dialogs (called pods, they are dockable palettes) looking quite similar to my modifications - so Adobe has heared the message. Other dialogs from the 'old' dialogue system are not modified to the user's benefit and I will look into these.
You will understand that with these circumstances I will not modifiy FM-8 dialogs and concentrate on the new FM-9. There are still annoyances in this UI, but this is common to x.0 releases and we must wait whether our complaints are heard.
Thank You for Your interest in my work and keep using FrameMaker, which IMHO _is_ the most valuable program for technical documentation (although I'm not a DITA enthusiast).
    Klaus Daube
PS: If I really get fed up with the big annoyances of FM-9 (no indication what program/window is active; no title bar with the name of the active document ...) It may be possible that I will sit down for some days (about 50h) to tweak the FM-8 dialogs according to my previous work. But I can not promise anything."
RE: The ResHacker program at http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/
I (Jackie) was able to open the fmdlg.dll and find the dialog box in question, and even change the width of it. However, upon saving the new DLL and placing it in the correct folder (yes we saved a copy of our original file), I received the message from Frame "fmdlg.dll is either missing or corrupted". Not sure if having a new save date is what causes the error...any additional advice????

  • File dialog box slow in Mavericks

    Running 10.9.2
Any application that tries to open the Finder file dialog box stops responding for 20-60 seconds and then recovers and opens the file dialog box. Automator, Mail, Preview, etc. all show this behavior.
I've tried the suggestion to modify the auto_master file, no help.
I've reloaded Mavericks, which fixed the problem for a few minutes, then it came back.
It's killing my productivity. Any thoughts?

  • Find Font dialog

    Hi,
I ve written a program to convert specified fonts in the document to another font, this runs for a batch of illustrator files... The program finds out the fonts used in each textframe and then does the processing. This takes a lot of time.
I need to know whether it is possible to access the FindFont dialog through script(VB or JS)????
(i.e.) Type->FindFont in the illustrator application
    Is this possible?
    Someone pls guide me...

  • Find in Open/Save Dialog boxes

The find in open/save dialog boxes seems to return unexpected results. Say I have two folders one called "Down under" and the other called "Down under 2". If I ask it to find "down" it only returns the file "Down under 2" and other files whose content may have the word "down" in them. The folder "Down under 2" only has jpegs in it. None have "Down" in the file name.
    So what gives?

Surely someone knows what is going on in spotlight. If I use Easyfind for the search it comes up with both files folders correctly.
