IHave an update that has been stuck for a month. Others have come in and been okay. It's stuck on installing. Have pressed and pressed but nothing happens. Any help.

Can anybody tell me how to unstick an update which has been like that for a month. It's says installing but won't budge.

Have you tried any of these things?
Tap the "installing" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. That might start the download again.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes. That could prevent the app from installing.
You can also try deleting the installing app - tap and hold down on the icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
If none of those things work for you, download the update in iTunes on your computer and then sync the app to your iPad.

I paid for lion because my 2006 mac pro will not run anything newer (arbitrary decision by apple). Downloaded it, but nothing happened. App Store now says i've already downloaded it, so I can't try again. App store also says lion isn't available in usa.

I found out that an 06 mac pro cannot be updated to anything more recent than lion. They guys at the local shop told me this after they tried to update it for me so I could run logic pro 9 in 64 bit mode. I bought lion. Waited two days for the emails. Spent hours following the instructions which sounded so simple until you try them. Finally I found the "redeem" button that was hidden because the size of my safari window was too small to show it and there was no bar at the bottom to scroll over. Without googling "how do you find the app store" and "how do you find quick links" I never would have figured it out. I only mention this so that others may learn from my mistakes. Finally I downloaded lion, supposedly, but nothing happened. There is no indication that anything downloaded, other than the fact that when I try to download it again, it says it's already been downloaded. I spent four hundred bucks at the shop updating, plus whatever they charged me for lion, and I've still got snow leopard and logic pro running at 32 bits. I'm pretty sure nobody can help me, but could you please arrange for the return of my time?

You can go to "Purchases" tab and check again.
If OS X Lion is still not downloading, try at a different network environment.
By the way, Mac Pro (2006) with a newer graphics card runs Mavericks perfectly with modifications in the installer.
It's not allowed to be discussed here, but you can simply google how to do it.

Premiere Elements 9 asking for a driver update that has been done-not displaying video

I have Premier elements 9 that has worked perfectly well for years, which recently has been giving me a message pop-up box saying that the Intel series 4 expresschipset display driver needs to be updated. I have gone to Intel's site and run their update diagnostic tool and updated this driver, and vefified that it was updated. I restarted the computer, un-installed and re-installed Premier - it still asks for the update and doesn't display any video, rendering it essentially useless. Any suggestions? I only heaviely use the program about once, twice a year...I don't want to be forced to update just because it is mis-behaving, please & thank you

Yes the BadDrivers.txt file does exist for Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 running on Windows 7 64 bit when you use the following instructions specific to what you have
Local Disk C
Program Data
Adobe
Premiere Elements
9.0
and in the 9.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. Please be sure to have Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited. After you open a Premiere Elements project, the program will generate at new BadDrivers.txt file and hopefully your issue is gone.
The rationale behind the delete of the BadDrivers.txt file can be found in post 10 of this older thread.

When she presses the ok button nothing happens and it is impossible to go to settings or any other onscreen app. Switching off makes no difference and we have no idea what to do! Any ideas?

How long has it been going on? I've had my yahoo mess up and if i wait a bit it resolves itself. Yahoo is doing something with their servers and it messes with your mail if your mail happens to be on one of those servers.

My iPod touch 5 has been losing wifi connection and crashing. It has also lost the correct time. I've reset and rebooted, but nothing has helped. Any ideas?

My daughter's iPod touch 5 first crashed when listening to iTunes Radio, then it started losing my wifi connection, especially if We went to safari to search. The screen continues to crash, by turning dim then black very suddenly, or green with lines then black. I've rebooted. I've reset. I've tried backing up onto iTunes for a restoration, but have lost many pictures and some apps. One other strange occurrence is that the time has changed on its own. It's like it's possessed. Ok, so I transferred some songs using my USB cable. Then, I checked my iPod, and it had spaces where there would be songs (ones that I had transferred from my laptop when I first got my iPod, so not bought from iTunes) but they were blank, so I completely turned off my iPod and turned it back on, that's when all of those songs disappeared, but they were still on my computer. Only the ones I had purchased iTunes on my iPod remained. I got some other songs to transfer after that, then it started saying "preparing to update files on iPod" "finishing updates" then it doesn't say anything and the songs still aren't on my iPod. Please explain and tell me if there is a way to fix it!

You could start by telling us your operating system, and version of Lightroom.
If you are on Windows, it is possible that the drive is assigned a different letter than before. If that's the case, then you simply need to change the drive letter back to whatever it was before.
Otherwise, you would have to reconnect the photos in Lightroom using this method: Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders

Tabbing isn't working on my Firefox 3.6.10. I am pretty sure it has something to do with something that has been added, but I have no idea what. How do I find what has stopped my tabbing from working?

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension as you do not need them to run Java applets.
