IHow do I know what the bit details are on an image and how to change it?

I wanted to send some wildlife images to a magazine who required us to send quality size 10
saved at 300dpi and then to send a copy of the same images at 72dpi and 8bit NOT 16bit.
I have no idea what they are requesting so please:-
1) How do I discover the details of my photograhs ie resolution 300dpi or 72dpi and how do I change it.
2) How do I discover the bit on images and again how do I change it as requested by the magazine.
Please please keep it simple as I am getting on a bit (pardon the pun) and do not understand computers.
Photoshop Elements 8 seems so complicated

Firstly I hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you a happy and healthy
new year.
I have been experimenting with colour changes in my Photoshop Elements 8 and
am encouraged having changed the colour of my car in the image.
I now would like to know how I change images that are black i.e. a crow in a
photograph or change the white in a photograph i.e. a swan.
I have looked at the Adjust Hue and Saturation and then the 'Master' but
there does not seem to be a facility to change black and white.
Also confused by Magenta and Cyan what colours do they represent please
should I ever need to use them?.

PS Have also been experimenting with text and shapes and can now alter the
colours of each and with text vary the font, colour, and style. Progress for
an old chap of seventy three.

i've got two 300GB raid and mirrored as well
so i get enough power but since its raid it takes a lot of memory
performance is not much of a problem anymore, just need more space
2x500GB internal is my dreams
1 for OSX and any any other sounds that requires to stay on the same drive
then i'll the other for recordings and other samples that needs to be off the main drive
and i'll use the rest of my externals for backups and other important things
harddrive is cheap this days so i'm looking to make the most out of my system for the future
as i'm not planing on getting the intel mac anytime soon so i'm preparing this mac and my other mac as a node to last atleast the next 3-years

I think they are any device associated with your Apple ID that you have downloaded items from the apple or iTunes Store to. I'm sorry that I don't understand all this. My account shows that I have my iPad and 2 iPhones in use but I have had a lot of phones and I don't know which ones I used. One of them may also belong to my ex husband. Yuck

China is on the PAL TV standard. But if you're just producing it in China for later airing in Canada, you'd need NTSC (I assume you already knew that).

Is it not an OS X vulnerability so you don't have to worry about your mac.
On your iOS devices iOS 7.0.6 is the patch for this.

Backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

With the wifi only one you can only get internet via wifi.
With the cellular one you can also access the internet via cellular (with appropriate data plan)
beyond that, and the price, they're the same

Remove iCloud documents using your iOS device
On an iOS device set up for iCloud Documents & Data, do one of the following:
With iOS 8: Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage, then tap Manage Storage.
With iOS 7: Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage.
Under Documents & Data, tap the app that has a document you want to delete, then tap Edit.

Anybody know what the iPad Air's touch resolution is?

Not display rez, touch rez. I've searched and searched and I can't find any info on this.
I just bought my Air less than a week ago and one of the things I hope to do with it is to use it for some fairly detailed sketchwork. I have been told not to expect much, but I'm thinking that, dang it, it's an Apple! And isn't Apple supposed to be the preferred computer brand for the art crowd? So it just seems to me that, since it's a pad and all, it should be a halfway decent instrument for artwork. After I received it, the very first thing I did was order a pressure-sensitive stylus for it. Should be here in a day or two.
I've played around some with the free Autodesk app, Sketchbook. It seems decent, but trying to draw with my finger is just not what I want. I've done some tests with my finger and thin lines, though, and at a 1x screen zoom factor, I'm able to get some precise placements with my finger if I'm careful and paying attention. What I did was I drew a cross, then placed the tip of my index finger, dead center at the crux of the cross and then drew away from the center at a straight angle. First try, the line I drew began exactly at the center of the cross. I sort of have to bend to the side and look at my finger at an angle so the finger itself isn't in the way. But when I do that, I'm able to place it accurately. So just using this simple sort of test, it appears that the touch resolution is quite a bit better than at least one estimate I heard -- like 5 or 10 lines per inch. Heh. More like 100 lines per inch, I'm thinking. I've also done a few other quick sketches and near as I can tell, I can place my lines accurately. Seems like if the rez was only 5 or 10 lpi, I wouldn't be able to do that. I can live with that 100 lpi figure even though it's incredibly coarse compared to a decent Wacom Cintiq, like the 12hx, I think it is.
Still, knowing the Air's actual touch resolution would be a big help in either confirming or disproving such comments as I mentioned above. So if you happen to know what the touch rez is for the Air, care to let me in on it?

YYosemite is a Mac OS and it doesn't run on an iPad. You cannot delete or install Safari on the iPad. It is on your device somewhere.
Swipe from screen to screen to look for it.
Check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that you didn't disable it.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

I've installed the icloud control panel app and set it up to synch everything, but after initially downloading my icloud calendar, it won't process any calendar updates (new entries made on either iphone 4 on ios 5 or outlook).
So since the control panel installed, but the service doesn't show running in outlooks "trust center" add-ins list, anyone know the actual dll file it would point to so I can see if I can add it the hard way?

I had the same issue and figured it out. First you have to start Outook as administrator. To do this, shift and right-click on outlook and click run as administrator. Next you need to enable Hard-disabled add-ins:

Hard disabling can occur when an add-in causes the application to close unexpectedly. It might also occur on your development computer if you stop the debugger while the Startup event handler in your add-in is executing.
To re-enable an add-in
In the application, click the File tab.
Click the ApplicationName Options button.
In the categories pane, click Add-ins.
In the details pane, verify that the add-in appears in the Disabled Application Add-ins list. The Name column specifies the name of the assembly, and the Location column specifies the full path of the application manifest.
In the Manage box, click Disabled Items, and then click Go.
Select the add-in and click Enable.
Click Close.
Then you need to activate it.
To re-enable an add-in
In the application, click the File tab.
Click the ApplicationName Options button.

My sleep/ wake button seems to be stuck so I sent in for a repair on the website and they sent me a apple care box and said send it back but I Carnt remember if I told them the fault or do they know by the repair ID number?
