Ii have a ipod touch but cant get any apps onto it from the computer through itunes anyone know how?

i have a ipod touch with 8gb.. ive plug it into itunes and have the apps i want in a tab but they wont even click and drag onto my ipod touch.. i havent even got apps store on my ipod can any1 help?

It appears that you have a first generation (1G) iPod and you need to update the iOS to get the apps store and to allow you to use most of the app in the app store.
To identify your iPod:

To purchasce iOS 3.1.3, the latest iOS for the 1G iPod:
Purchasing iOS 3.1 Software Update for iPod touch (1st generation)
You may have to use a different browser to get the sublink to work correctly.
Or you could have restrictions set on your iPod that is preventing installing apps and from the App Store app from showing on the iPod. To check go to Settings>General>Restrictions.

You can sync iOS apps from your compute's iTunes library to your iPod. An iPod will only run iOS apps/games. It will not run or even sync computer apps/games.

You can update it to 4.2.1
Open itunes, connect ipod. If there is an update available, then it will prompt you to update.

I have good wifi connection, but cant download any app from app store

since i updated to IOS 7.0.3, i cant download any app; i always get the "impossible to download the app" message as if i wouldnt have internet connection.

Ok heres the deal, I have 3.1.3 on my Touch 32gb and I downloaded the oh so fabulous iOS 5.1.5 or whatever and now its "backing up iPod touch" but it gets stuck at like 1/4 the way thru the process and it doesn't complete. Whats the problem?

Now there's a thought. Apple actually provide free access to free information from other people who use iPods. Wow!
So to your problem. Which generation of iPod Touch do you have and where and how did you get iOS 5? Use this page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1353 for help in identifying your model. You need to do this (and then tell us) because older versions of Touch cannot install iOS 5 and the fact that you have iOS 3.1.3 on your iPod is cause enough to ask which model you have.
1st gen Touch can install up to iOS 3.1.3
2nd gen Touch can install up to iOS 4.2.1

First I want to thank everyone who helped me last week with the restrictions passcode ordeal. Now I have a new prob.....both of my boys' ipods wont let us get on to the app store. I turn on the wifi then hit the icon of the app store and it tells me that it cannot connect to iTunes Store. This is the way we have done it for over a year. Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account. Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices. You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

You can't go directly from the Touch to the Shuffle, but if you can get the music into your itunes library on your computer, you'll be able to sync that music to the Shuffle no problem. After reviewing your post, the iPod is not recognized in iTunes. A frustrating situation to be sure. You haven't mentioned what OS the computer you are using uses. You can choose what article to use either OS X or Windows from this quoted section.
