IIS Error 500

Hi All,
In one of the secondary server (MP,DP installed) showing error 500. but Mpcontrol.log said 200 Ok message. Also I can browse the MP link without any issue. I tried to restart the services but still getting error 500 in IIs. Its win2k8 server. I am
fcaing last one week this issue. Kindly let me know the troubleshoot. I am very sure MP works fine.

if your MP is working,what is the issue ? are you having any issues with that error 500 ? what logs are you checking with error 500 ? You can do quick check on few clients that resides under secondary by initiating policies and running inventory action
on client if they are able to talk to MP or not.

I have recently installed CF 9 64 bit on Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 with IIS 7.5. I have just set the 'Enable 32 bit applications' option on the application pool settings to 'true' for one of the sites as I have some web pages that make use of a 32 bit COM DLL. I originally had this option set to 'false' and all of the web pages in my site were being served fine with the exception of the ones making use of the 32 bit COM DLL.
The details on the error message from IIS are as follows:
HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error
Detailed Error Information:
Module: IsapiModule
Notification: ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler: AboMapperCustom-75500
Error Code: 0x800700c1
Most Likely causes:
IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly.
IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application.
The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL.
The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed.
Things you can try:
Ensure that the NTFS permissions for the web.config file are correct and allow access to the Web server's machine account.
Check the event logs to see if any additional information was logged.
Verify the permissions for the DLL.
Install the .NET Extensibility feature if the request is mapped to a managed handler.
Create a tracing rule to track failed requests for this HTTP status code. For more information about creating a tracing rule for failed requests, click here.
I am not sure if the error is permissions related or not.
1. How do I rectify this error and still keep the 'Enable 32 application' option turned on so I can call a 32 bit COM DLL ?
2. In general, can the 64 bit version of CF 9 even invoke 32 bit COM DLL's on IIS 7.5 or should this only be done with the 32 bit version of CF 9 ?

CF9.0.2 came out with apsb12-15 applied.
Difference with CF10 is you can use CFadmin to change postparamlimit setting.

Error 500 after installing CF11 on Windows 8.1

I purchased a new laptop with Windows 8.1. I had a previous latop that had been upgraded to Windows 8.1 and ran CF10 perfectly fine. I made sure the necessary IIS modules were installed for CF. I installed CF11 using the "Run as administrator" option, just to be on safe side. Everything appeared to go smoothly and no hiccups occured. However, when I click to go CF admin page, I received an Error 500. I've made sure permissions on the folders are correct and allow for the IIS_USR a even IUSR. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am sort of at a loss here.

I'm experiencing the same problem as OP and I wonder if the proposed fix worked? It tried to implement the solution but to no avail.
I'm working with a fresh install of Windows 8.1 x64 Enterprise with IIS 8.5. I verified all installed features of IIS as following :
In IIS Management console I verified all access by adding a specific connection user. (the local administrator account)
The default application pool is set to x64 only (= disabled x32 support in Advance settings of Application Pool Management)
The error message received when browsing the http://localhost/CFIDE/Administrator/ :
I cannot seem to resole this issue, but is it related to the x64 version of Windows?
Anyway, I've been searching the web for a few days now and I did not find any solution yet.
Any thoughts how to resolve this, short from installing Windows 7 and going from there?

Error 500 and also getting an ISAPI error.

Description of the Problem/Question:
Here is the error message we are seeing in the extended logging on the webserver. We can replicate in our test
environment and this log is from the test region. It throws an error 500, ISAPI error to the user.
Here are the log entries from wlacess.log on cssna105. I tried to search for the root cause without any success.
At some point, some one was saying to set the KeepAlive value to off. It is recommended to set to ON in performance guide.
Ct claims, small size of the messaging is getting through and some with larger size is getting this errors.

/ecp /owa not work for different users, error 500, redirect/owa/auth.owa

installed Exchange 2013, upgrade to sp1 and clean as possible start use in production. All work fine for 2 weeks, when after last weekend go back to work and see what ecp and owa login broken.
1. it broke for some users, not all users. some users coud login.
2. it always after login redirect to error 500, domain.com/owa/auth.owa
3. i get other user login password, try from differet new pc. the same error.
4. with cache cleaning and add "?ExchClientVer=15" at the end i get to work two mailboxes, but cant get other to work.

5. no event log errors, only about exchange performance counters.
all what i did:
*recreate owa. recreate ecp directories in default website and backend website also ecp pool, and add it back.
*check website biddings;
*remove and readd certificate.
*disable OWA cache option.
*check user language options.
*check running services.
*check owa proxy health
* check owa and ecp authentification settings
* check for correct internal external url settings for owa and ecp.
* try with ssl req checked in or checked out -not help.
* try with redirect options disabled or enabled- not help
So now im are at the start point, didn't help anything. in is not resolution for sitting and trying to clear user explorer caches to tray get work..

Generally, the error was 500 which indicates some kind of authentication errors. To resolve the issue, please try the following checks:
1. Checked IIS, ensure that all of the authentication is set correctly and "Require SSL" is checked on the root of the default website.
2. Restart IIS service by running “IISReset /NoForce”.
3. If it fails, please try to start the “Microsoft Exchange Forms-Based Authentication” service on Exchange server.

This error was caused by the incorrect site binding, I will give a reference of my test Lab. We add two A records in DNS which the FQDN of CAS and Mailbox could resolve IP address.;
Default Web Site:
Exchange Back End:
Then IIS must be restarted.

From what I understand the WebDAV set up is correct. The URL is generated correctly, but the file inside the folder cannot be read, as a result the error gets generated.

MIME repository of the IIS server. The MIME mapping and file type
extensions that are not defined at the Mime Map node in the IIS

SCOM 2012r2 Favorite Report could not be shown on web console internal error 500

Please HELP!!!
My lab settings:
SCOM1, SCOM2, SQL1
Both SCOM servers were installed on 2012r2 Server and SCOM 2012 r2 Rollup3 with Web Console enabled.
Report server installed on SQL1, MSSQL2012 with Report service, All role are installed on different servers.
All servers are in the same domain
ISSUE:
I cannot run report from Favorite Report from Web Console using other non-domain computer. I got the error "500 internal server error" after run the report.
I got this message after enable error detail report after run report from Web.

Do you mean that when you run report from Web console using domain joined computer everything works fine?
If so, then the issue seems like IIS authentication related issue, we may need check below settings:
Check the binding order in IIS where the web console is installed and make sure http is on top.
Check the advanced settings on Internet Explorer. Look for the Windows integrated authentication setting and compare this setting with the management server.

EXCHANGE 2013 - ECP AND OWA INTERNAL ERROR 500 - NEW INSTALL

Really hoping someone can help me here.
I first installed 2012 OS and 2013 exchange and users were getting 'Unable to open your default folder' when trying to open outlook. After much googling and nothing working I decided to put 2008 R2 on the server with 2013 Exchange. Now i am running into massive
issues.
Firstly i get Internal Errror 500 after putting in credentials for ECP and OWA. I did notice that it is also defaulting straight to this URL after entering password https://localhost/owa/auth.owa
I check the management shell and that connects without any issues. I also logged on to a computer to see what it did. After autodiscover it is not able to log onto server and then it looks like it is look for the old server information from previous server.
Any help would be appreciated. Can i do another reinstall of OS and how am i meant to remove the previous data that it seems the server has found?

According to your description, I understand that cannot login internal ECP\OWA with error 500, also autodiscover failed.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
I notice that autodiscover “looks like it is look for the old server information from previous server”, have you installed multiple version Exchange in your environment?
Please run below command to double check the virtual directory configuration:
Get-OutlookAnywhere | FL Identity,*Host*,*Auth*
Get-OwaVirtualDirectory | FL Identity,*url*,*auth*
Get-EcpVirtualDirectory | FL Identity,*url*,*auth*
Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory | FL Identity,*url*,*auth*
Get-ClientAccessServer | FL Identity,*URI*,*auth*
Then, open IIS and check on the Application Pools to view whether MSExchangeOWAAppPool and MSExchangeECPAppPool is running on .NET Framework v4.0, and recycle virtual directory for test.

Looks like the JSP compiler is failing when trying to figure-out (parse) one of your jsp tags. Try checking
line 73 column 59 in liste_diff.jsp, and see what might be wrong.

HTTP Error 500.24 - Internal Server Error on Web service sdk

Hi, I have installed the mfa server on premise and tested successfully with sms and phone call. I wanted to try the Mobile app so I installed the Web service en the Mobile app according to instructions (changed the web.config with username
and password and url of web service sdk) but when I try to activate the app I get an error related to the web service sdk (also when I try the TestPfWsSdkConnection) : the error says
HTTP Error 500.24 - Internal Server Error
An ASP.NET setting has been detected that does not apply in Integrated managed pipeline mode.
I try several thing but no luck.
Windows server 2012 R2 with iis 8.5
Anybody an idea of what I am doing wrong? Thanks

Internal error 500.0 when trying access my email via owa

i am get following error when try to access email through OWA
Http Error 500.0-internal error
module "Exppw" could not be found.
this mesaage appear after unistall IIS and reinstall becuse i have problem initialization failed after
fix initilization failed OWA not working.

“440 login timeout” was caused by some reasons, for example permission, authentication and so on.

Please try to deleted temp files in: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files. Then do IIS reset.
I found someone have this issue with FIPS implemented, and when he disable FIPS the web console works fine. Here is the similar thread:

Remote Web App Error 500

Please see the attached images which shows the error message, I have tried removing the malformed XML element which is highlighted in red line 301, the site would start working i could login access email "OWA" but then get a shared folder error
unexpected error when trying to access shared files. I am then unable to view shared docs via web portal.
