IK expert needed: old anim techs meets new?

I am a professional Flash character animator, who up until recently has been using Flash MX2004. I just got CS4 and am excited to learn how the new features can help me in animation.
But I can't help but use the techniques that I know. I use a lot of property instances of graphic symbols to control my animations, especially for facial expressions, lipsync, hand gestures, etc. I set up the variations and features inside the symbol, and then set the instance on the main stage to the single frame I want to the given frame within the symbol.
I am interested in learning IK, as I think it will speed up animation without the gruntwork of keeping all the joints linked up by hand. But I have tried several IK tutorials that only brush the surface of this new function. And when I tinkered with it myself, I found that if I tried to change the property of a symbol instance that is already connected to a skeleton, it changed that instance for the entire bone tween. Additionally, if I ried to skew/scale an instance with bones, it also changed for the entire bone tween, not just where I wanted. In short, it won't let me animate how I want to animate it.
This is absolutely unworkable for me, especially if I have a character who is speaking while in motion, or I need to forshorten or 'squash and stretch' a symbol during action.
Is there a way to keyframe specific instance attributes within an IK bone tween? Might this have to do with 'object properties'? (is that what it's called? The one where anim is attached to an object on stage instead of in the timeline? This is another new function I don't understand yet.)
If there are any of you out there who do pro-quality char anim, and are currently making use of IK in your work, I would be soooo appreciative if you could help me incorporate this or other new Flash CS4 functions into my anim methods! Or a tutorial that takes IK to the next level for those of us who need fine-quality performance? How do you make IK do what YOU want it to do?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand it can be very frustrating when you cannot sign in, or sign out in this case, to your Apple ID. In this situation you may need to temporarily edit your Apple ID back to the original email address so that you can sign out. Once signed out, edit the Apple ID back to the new email address and sign in. Please use the attached article for further information.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
If you're still asked for your previous Apple ID password, continue to the next step.

okay from reading posts it seems if I transfer my backed up info from my old comp to the new one and erase my dad's phone's back up i could reset my phone and it would transfer all my old data back onto the phone, be linked to the new computer and i could proceed. These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

I have got a new computer, and so obviosuly have had to download a new verison of iTunes to go with it, however, I now cant sync my iPhone (which was linked previously to an iTunes account on my old computer) without it wanting to erase allll my stuff. Any help??

You will need to move your iTunes library (and "all your stuff", like contacts, etc.) from your old computer to your new computer. When you Have it all set up, you can set up your phone to sync with the new library. This will erase the phone, but you can re-sync your media, apps, etc. from the iTunes library you've moved to the new one.
You can NOT use the iPhone to move your library from one machine to another. It is not a backup device.

You can likely download the last compatible version by:
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPad. If your iPad isn't responding or doesn't appear to be charging, you may find the information and troubleshooting steps outlined in the following articles helpful, in particular the following portion:

Old computer crashed, need to recover info to new computer that has FF now installed and somethings setup. Need to pick and chose what is brought over from old

Had to buy new computer and it is windows 8.1 vs the old was XP. It took 10 days to get the cabling to connect the old HD to new computer USB port.
I need the computer for my work so I had to manually configure and set up enough to keep working. This includes FF.
Now that I have access to the old HD I want to selective bring over things from the old FF configuration and set up as I do not want to destroy the what I have already set up and configured. I guess you could say I am looking to do a selective merge of the two configuration and user data files.

Any file that you copy from the old Profile into the new Profile ''(will overwrite the new file)'' will delete the info that is in the new Profile.
Tell us exactly what data you want to actually "merge" and we might have a solution for you. Bookmarks are easy to "merge" once you know how; other types of data aren't as easy to "merge".

I'm having a similar problem...but mine results from an OS upgrade from 10.6.4 to 10.8.5.
Where did you access a clean copy of Java SE 6? The link at adobe for archicval plug-ins is a dead download (and it doesn't appear to contain Java SE 6.).

If you Google ipod nano 6th generation manual, you can download the PDF manual. Here's a quote from page 19:
Transfer purchased content to another computer:
1 Open iTunes on the other computer and choose Store > Authorize This Computer.
2 Connect iPod nano to the newly authorized computer.
3 In iTunes, choose File > Transfer Purchases from iPod.
Songs that are not from the iTunes store can be copied to the new computer, and you just have to do File>Add to Library to get them into iTunes. And if you don't plan to continue using your old computer, you should deauthorize it because you only get 5 authorizations for iTunes store purchases, and this will cancel out the authorization on the old computer.

Connect your iPad to your computer in iTunes. Under the iPad settings under summary, check the box that says backup to this computer. Click apply. Then when you connect the new iPad you can restore that backup on the new one.

Either backup the contacts in iCloud or with a compatible programme on your computer (Outlook, Windows Contacts, Address Book etc).
Once done, sync the contacts to your new iPhone from that programme/iCloud.
