  • EBS data and meta data retrieval

    Hi,
I am into java and my requirement is to retrieve data and meta data of the underlying EBS implementation and make it available to the EBS end users for some kind of processing which is outside EBS.With my limited knowledge of EBS,what I understand is that there is a logical view and a physical view of the data.My queries are as below:-
    1. Is there a way to get the relationship between physical and logical view?
    2. How to get the meta data of the underlying table structures?
    3. Should JDBC drivers be sufficient to retrieve the data or is there any other more efficient means of retrieval.
Any help on the same is appreciated as I am new into this area and any help is welcome.
    Thanks
    MNG

    Hi,
    1. Is there a way to get the relationship between physical and logical view?
    2. How to get the meta data of the underlying table structures?See Oracle eTRM website.

    3. Should JDBC drivers be sufficient to retrieve the data or is there any other more efficient means of retrieval. I believe using JDBC drivers should be sufficient. For using JDeveloper, please see (Note: 330236.1 - Configuring JDeveloper For Use With Oracle Applications 11i and R12).

  • HT201299 How accurate is the data roaming meter?

I'm having troubles with my provider as they state I've used more than what the meter says. How accurate is the data roaming meter? I switched it on as I was taking off to overseas and off when I landed back home.

I know how important it is to keep track of your data usage Creegsly! Please be assured our data monitoring tools are very accurate; however, usage can delay for up to 48 hours. Your usage will reset each month on the first day of your new bill cycle. As an additional option, you can also use #DATA from your wireless phone to check your data usage. I trust this information was helpful.

  • Mobile data usage meter is HUGELY overcharging me...why?

It's 4-5 days since I got my sim card for the $49 Freedom Connect BYO plan.  That's a plan with 1.5 gigs included data and 25c per megabyte for excess data.  My data usage meter says I've used 0 kb of my included data and over $400 worth of pay as you go data (200mb charged at $2 a megabyte).  I spoke to the chat support a few days ago and they confirmed this is 'wrong' and said they 'take the charges away'.  Well, since then, my data has continued to be charged at $2 per megabyte.  Holy cow, does Telstra want my house?  Can anyone clarify, reassure or otherwise me about this?

Thanx Ben_F i hope you get payed mate I have received tokens of appreciation from Telstra for my work on these forums, however that isn't why I come here and it isn't why I post (I think Jokiin and Drat would agree). jonandemi wrote:
just cant believe how regular these problems are and telstra do nothing to fix up the usage meter. How many people get ripped off and dont know and how many people get ripped off and dont have the guts to fight/know how to get the moeny back (huge amounts).Thats subjective really..... There aren't as many posts on this issue as, for example, the SG2 threads. As for not knowing, I would assume that customers would think about contacting Telstra via Phone, Email, LiveChat or via  a Telstra Store (Last Resort). Customers should feel free to able to contact suppliers and ask questions about their account. jonandemi wrote:
I know of 3 people personally who have payed over $800 each and left telstra for good because they just didnt want the stress of dealing with it or didnt know how to deal with it. They just payed it.I've had the issue happen to me once (wasn't aware of my limit). When I spoke with LiveChat it was refunded, and it took me half an hour. Pretty good for about $400 of charges. jonandemi wrote:
Its wrong, a usage meter should be up to date to the hour at least. If you knew how usage was metered and counted, you understand why it takes 24 hours usually. B.

  • My grandson deleted all the data from his ipod touch . all he gets when he turns it on is a gray screen and an apple logo. Our computer no longer recognizes the ipod nor does itunes, Help.

My grandson delted all data from his ipod touch {thinking he was deleting his songs.] Now all he gets when he turns it on is a gray screen with an apple logo. We do not have it backed up nor was it ever turned on to itunes. We purchased it used from a co worker and didnt get that far.. Our computers do not recognise it as any thing nor does itunes when we have it plugged into itunes. Any way to fix this? Apple support will remote into our computer to fix it. For $ 99.00. Well needless to say he used all his savings to buy the ipod so ......  Any free ideas??

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Any way to back up data on an iPod touch (3rd party apps)?

I think I know the answer to this one but I'll throw it out there just in case. First of all, I'm apparently one of the lucky ones who has my iPod touch lock up at the apple screen several times a week during certain syncs (normally adding or removing apps) only to find it hot as a skillet and totally unresponsive sometimes hours later. At this point I'm pretty much used to having to completely rebuild the iPod touch regularly (at least it takes a little less than 6 hours now). What I'm wanting to know is: is there any way to back up ALL of the data on the iPod touch??? The data in all the built in apps is there after a restore and even some of the third party apps seem to keep their data (Shopper for instance has my shopping list). The problem is most apps just dump all their data and it's a pain to reenter everything and it's aggravating losing any scores or progress in games (yeah, I know. not really a major issue). Some examples include: Bloomberg loses all of my stock information, Units loses quick conversions, OmniFocus looses all settings (db is "in the cloud" so data can be retrieved) Chopper loses all scores and progress, Motion X Poker loses all scores and progress, all my weather apps lose the cities I normally load into them... I'm sure there are others but these are some of my most used and thus most missed after every restore.
Every backup completes and I never have any errors. It's just clear that "backup" really means partial backup in this case and I can't find any way to even do anything about it manually. Is this something the application programmers have control over? Or is this just something that I'll have to wait for another update to the software? On a related note is there any consistent way to lessen the crashes? I've searched quite a bit and it seems like it's fairly random. I've relegated myself to only adding and deleting apps through iTunes but that still leaves me open to crashes. Not to mention it completely eliminates the browsing and spur of the moment shopping on the iPod touch. As for a potential hardware problem, my 16GB before this with the same apps loaded did the exact same thing so I don't think it's the hardware.
Thanks for any help or advice. All in all I do love this thing I just wish it would become more stable. After all I thought that was the reason for the close control Apple was keeping over developers.

Thanks. I hadn't seen that before and I'll have to look into it a little more. The one thing that has me wondering is the part where they state that the iPod touch is now supported "for iPod to computer transfers only". I would think that given the nature of the product there would have to be some way to transfer the data back to the iPod... I might have a look at the demo version after work here. I guess the obvious question is; have you used this with an iPod touch and had success?
Edit: Just noticed this seems to be a Windows product only so it won't actually help me. Thanks though.

  • How do I upgrade my iPod touch to IOS 5.0.1 without losing my app data?

I want to upgrade my iPod touch (4.3.3) to IOS 5.0.1, but I don't want to lose my app data (Tiny Tower, etc.)
I transferred all my purchases to the host computer. I also backed up my app data. Before I update the IOS software on my iPod touch, I'd like to find out if the app data on my iPod will be erased as part of the upgrade.
If so, will a restore from backup restore the app data?

",the owner sold the ipod without clearing the songs and since the songs were not puchased from the itunes store then i believe i now own the songs"
    Not true at all.
It does not matter where the songs came from, they are not yours and the previous owner does not own the right to distribute them to others.
The law is the same with downloads and cds and any other medium.

How can you transfer data from one ipod to another ipod ?

The geniusbar told me what to do, I understood but there is still a problem for me >:/ It's not showing up though. Like "device."  Nothing is happening, and I tried as soon as I got home. Then after half an hour, then an hour, then 3 hours. My problem is that it's not showing up! It's stuck in recovery mode! There's still like 25% battery. So I have no idea why.

  • My hard disc has failed how can I download data from my ipod to a new hard  disc?

my hard disc has failed how do i transfer the data on my Ipod/Ipad to a new hard disc?

In addition to the comments above, when you create a new library with the media that you recover this will be treated as "new" for the device and iTunes may want to wipe it and start over, losing any personal data and settings. The following approach ought to help.
    You should be able to:
Backup the device to your iTunes installation
Transfer your purchases into a library authorized to your account
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer (same as above)
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

My iPhone, iPad and iPod are all associated with the same Apple ID.  How can I remove the iPod and associate it with a new Apple ID without affecting the data on the other devices (note: there is no data on the iPod I want to keep)?

Very simple.  Turn off Find my iDevice, then  Tap Settings, General, Erase, Erase all content and settings.

  • How can you transfer data from an ipod touch to the itunes library without having all your data deleted?

I have a laptop and the hard drive had to be replaced because it WILL NOT work (This broken hard drive will be refered to as "HD1" from now on). So I had no choice but to have HD1 replaced with a better hard drive (the new one will be refered to as "HD2" from now on). I had HD1 for about 5 years, but what is stuck on HD1 is my itunes library will all of my music, like I said before HD1 will not work so I cannot retrieve any of my itunes data, or any data to be exact. But also, my data that was synced in HD1's itunes library is also on my ipod touch, which is still functional for the time being. HD2 has been installed and working perfectly and I installed itunes on it as well. If I synced my ipod touch to HD2's itunes library, all of my music on the ipod touch will get deleted. What I'm trying to do is have all of my music on my ipod touch transfered to HD2's itunes library without having anything deleted.
    Key things to remember:
-"HD1" is my broken hard drive
-"HD2" is my new and awesome hard drive
-I can't access HD1 at all because it doesn't work
-I have an ipod touch with all of HD1's music on it
-HD2 has an empty itunes library on it
-I need a way to transfer all the data on my ipod touch to HD2's itunes library without having anything deleted
Is there someone, anyone who can help me out with this?

I think so when you sign in your itunes library with your apple id which you were using on HD1 the data will be transfered or simply use icloud.

You only buy the right to your own personal use.

This is illegal.  There is no doubt about it

  • The contacts and calendar data on my iPod touch will not sync with my Mac

I have a 2nd generation ipod touch, and an iMac running iTunes 8.2.1.
I have been away from my mac for a few months and have entered a lot of contact and calendar info into my ipod touch.
Now, when I try to sync the contacts and calendar data on my ipod touch with my mac, the data will not sync to my mac.
Similarly, for the last couple months, the contact and calendar data on my ipod touch has not been able to sync with my mobileme account.
I cannot afford to lose the contact and calendar data on my ipod touch.
Can anyone kindly inform me how to fix this syncing problem without losing such data?
