IKEv2 in MacOS 10.10 Yosemite

According to this official document (slide 89) http://devstreaming.apple.com/videos/wwdc/2014/702xxvsjwkmhw2e/702/702_managing_ apple_devices.pdf Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite is capable of using IKEv2 connections.
I have a working .mobileconfig file, that works on my iOS 8 device just fine with an IKEv2 connection. When I try to install this configuration onto a MacBook Pro with MacOS 10.10.1 Yosemite I get the following error message:

I have enabled logging for the racoon client and the loglevel is set to debug, but I don't see any error messages in the logs. There is nothing in /var/log/system.log either. Is there any better way to find out what's the reason for rejecting the configuration file?

5 months and 2 updates later and there's still no interface for creating this flavor of VPN, nor is there any documentation to be found how to create an IKEv2 VPN on in OS X.
I had support on chat a little while ago and they kept wanting to blame my VPN server and troubleshoot that. Basically they had no clue.
I even pointed to the document.
I think the config file is rejected because it's for mobile clients. I believe the OSX client simply doesn't know how to read and apply it.

Experiencing random graphical glitches in MacOS 10.10 Yosemite

We have several users that experience random graphical glitches. See screenshots below for some examples.
They all use iMacs from between 2012 and 2014 with Yosemite.
The glitches only appear in Photoshop CC, not CS6 or any other programs.
They have these graphics cards:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2048 MB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024 MB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB
NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1024 MB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB
I've tried the different settings under Performance -> Advanced Settings -> Drawing Mode, but no change.
Also tried resetting the prefs and changing the color profile settings.
It happens irregularly or at least I haven't found any pattern yet.
Has anyone seen these kind of glitches before?

MacOS 10.10 has some widespread video card driver problems that show artifacts like this. They affect many applications that use the GPU, including Apple's own.
Apple is aware of these driver bugs, and working on solutions.

I want to report a bug. I had just finished and closed a few file where I applied content aware scaling. Then if I opened another file in photoshop, it would open with sections of the previously closed files on the screen, yet the thumbnail in the layers panel looks normal. The screenshot shows an the photoshop screen after opening an image.
The problem seems to have gone away after restarting photoshop.

Also a one time occurrence (if it can not be recreated) would hardly seem to merit the term "bug".
If you can recreate it does turning off OpenGL in the Performance Preferences and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Mac Yosemite and CS 3

I upgraded to Yosemite and now my Creative Suites software (Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop) will not work. I get a licensing error. When I go to the Adobe site, all I see are monthly subscription packages for cloud based software. I don't want that. I just want to own basic software for these programs with no monthly fee—like I always have. Can anyone tell me what version of Adobe CS I can upgrade to that is compatible with Yosemite that isn't a Creative Cloud program? Where do I find it to purchase? The Adobe site is not helpful at all and they don't have any telephone support for this. I have credit card in hand wanting to make a purchase and can’t find what I’m looking for.

Mac Yosemite and Domain Errors

I have a local mobile account setup on my Macbook Air. When I do a reboot my Mac will not login unless I have network access. I get the loading bar of death. Before when on 10.9 I was on the domain and never had an issue. Any ideas how to fix this?

had the same problem here with PSE 8 after system recovery from time machine backup. I also updated to Lion couple of month ago. I also tried all of the listed solutions on the adobe support pages but none of them worked. The folder FLEXNet_Publisher in the systems hard drives folder Preferences, which it says to be deleted does not exist and was only found in the application support folder. I also tried all of the other solutions listed on this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac-os.html and had more or less the same problems, it did not work.
I found the following solution myself by doing this:
go to the folder [hard drive]/Library/Application Support/FlexNet Publisher and make a copy of this folder
then go to the folder [hard drive]/Library/Preferences and paste this copied folder there.
Then try again to start your application and now it should show you the licenceregistry window. Type in your serial number and confirm. Then the application starts and runs properly. So it was on my system.

Stacks weird visual bug

I'm running Leopard 10.5.3 on a 1Ghz iMac G4 which came with a GeForce4 MX graphics card. I've been using stacks from the beginning (and loving it) but every time I use it, a weird visual bug is triggered; basically white semi-transparent rectangles appear along the edges. You can find a screenshot of this at http://picasaweb.google.com/luis.beca/StacksBug/photo#5206710255993309346. Any clues as to why this is happening or how to solve it?
I should point out that I have been stuck with this problem from the very beginning, not just the latest Leopard version 10.5.3. I have an Intel MacBook Pro where this is not an issue.

Panels do not appear

Adobe Illustrator CC 2014, MacOS 10.10 Yosemite. AI no longer shows most panels such as Layers, Colors, Paragraph Styles, etc. I select one in the Window menu, which says that it's active, but the panel never shows on the screen. A few panels do show, such as Navigator, but when I drag them to the right edge, a blue line appears along the screen edge. If I drop the panel there, it disappears never to be seen again. Any ideas?

As a work-around I suggest you to keep your App Frame ON. (menu Windows >> Application Frame).

I'm getting a weird lag bug in adobe flash on my macbook where when I move my cursor no lag happens but when I stop I get lag from chatroom? Is there a fix? I'm on Mavericks.

Not does it only lag but the animations stop in the ads and in people avatars because some of the people there are running animated avatars. I just found it weird when I moved my cursor it stopped lagging, but when I leave my cursor still the chat freezes/lags. I would have blamed the specs on my older Macbook but why would the animations run fluid on Safari when my cursor moves?

Is Aperture on its way out or should i buy it ?

I read somewhere that aperture is on its way out and there will be no more development ? Is that true ?

Aperture will still be supported and updated to work with the next MacOS X version Yosemite, but yes, Apple will not release a new Aperture version. Both, Aperture and iPhoto will be replaced by a new application "Photos", to be released next year. Apple will support the migration of Aperture libraries and iPhoto libraries to "Photos".

Can`t get Lightroom CC (2015) working - asking for some help ?

(System is MacOS, fully updated Yosemite )
Has had Lightroom(LR) for years as my prefered photo-app, and in payed version (updated to last vers. 5.7).
Beside this, joined the subscription solution "Creative Cloud (vers. 2.0.0.74), nov. 2014....
Know as LR comes in vers. 6 i wanted to use the possibility for the "CreativeCloud" version, so downloaded and installed.....
But starting LR v.6 is not success-full...... presentation-screen flashes shortly, and the app shows up in Dock.... then it all disappears again !!??
Has still my paid LRversion installed.... does function (thanks God !)
Has absolutely had no problem with Creative Cloud, nor PS CC earlier......
So what´s up Doc ? Do i really have to buy the LR again, or....?
Have a huge numbers of pictures make over in LR through the years, don`t really like to uninstall payed version if that should be a matter.....?

My Very Slow Mid-2007 iMac

My iMac was running unbearably slow. I'm not just talking slow to load a web page; I'm talking slow as in 20-30 second waits simply to get a drop-down menu to open or to save a file and 15 to 20 minutes to initially boot. I followed suggestions that I found in forums online, running Repair Disk Permissions and Repair Disk, for example. The latter helped for a time but became less and less effective for shorter intervals. I installed OSX Yosemite 10.1, hoping that would help. It did not.
At one point I came across a suggestion to run Activity Monitor. Running AM showed a recurring message: Google Chrome Helper not responding. Further checking seemed to indicate that this was a minor bug and would not affect performance. Nevertheless, I tried to disable Chrome Helper, following the directions in a post. I also installed a beta version of Chrome that was supposed to address the bug. The situation did not improve. I tried running Safari. I had similar issues with Safari.
On a whim, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. I used to use Firefox but switched to Chrome when my school system started using Google Apps and suggested that Chrome would be the best choice of browser to work with Google Apps. When I opened Firefox, the problems almost totally disappeared. Web pages load instantly, and I am no longer getting the annoying spinning pinwheel when I click on a drop down menu. I am not a technical person so I have no idea why this should be happening or if my success will last. There seems to be no logic to it. Nevertheless, I am posting this in the event that it might help someone else going through the frustration of watching the interminably spinning rainbow wheel.

I'm getting ugly vertical stripes at pictures and background images on my HTC One S.

I like using Firefox on my HTC One S, syncing the browsing history and bookmarks really comes in handy.
But however, sometimes i get ugly stripes above some images. When resizing the site, they sometimes disappear. It happens only with images and css-background images.

HELP My webcam has horrible picture, horrible pixel capture rate, ect. What's wrong with it? HELP

I (try to) use a Creative Live! Cam Video IM Pro webcam. The sound seems to work great. The effects I can add to the videos seem wonderful. There is only one major problem......the picture on this webcam is abysmal. It isn't just too dark or too sloppy or whatever, the whole pixel capturing rate seems heavily flawed. The webcam picture (both video recording, photo capture, and everything else) is extremly blurry and my face looks like a moving colored blob. The video picture looks like a tiny picture that has been enlarged a lot that you can see the little pixel squares, and the problem gets worse when you actually start the recording and is incoherent.
The webcam is relatively new and cost me $50. Now this may not be a particularly expensi've webcam but it doesn't mean the picture should be as bad as a video from the 930s (worse in fact but with color). What is wrong with my webcam and what can I do to fix the picture?
