ILD Teleservices cramming

Has anyone noticed charges for ILD Teleservices Inc?  I was just dinged for a 'US Music Find' which is apparently a ringtone download.  Only problem is, I don't have V* wireless, nor do I ever download ringtones.
When I called V* billing, I was surprised that I didn't have to wait very long, maybe 2 minutes before I got a real person (she was english speaking too!).  She did say that she would take care of the credit and put a block on my account for misc charges, and she even talked me into upgrading my old 30/5 to 35/35 bundle with my phone and FIOS TV.  Supposedly, this will save me about $20 per month and give me more TV, but we'll see tomorrow if anything gets botched up in this order...I'm not holding my breath, but this was a nice change in experience with V* billing, at least so far...

I just got off of a 34 minute phone call with "Risha" in regards to ILD Teleservices billing. She, after speaking with 50 other people 50 different times, just figured out that if you don't pay your bill on time, Verizon will, unbeknownst to you, "slowly strip your services" until you pay your bill on time. So, ILD Teleservices takes over all of their long distance calls. However, all of the charges which appeared on my account were to telephone numbers I have never seen before, and there were SEVERAL of them. "Risha" then told me I MUST be the one making those calls because some of them are like 23 minutes long and that's too long of a call for it to be an error. When I asked if someone might be third-party billing my home phone, she just said she didn't know. When I asked to speak to someone who did know, she said, "well, this is the billing department". DUH. So, basically, I am SOL. Pay your bills on time, people, or Verizon will suck even more money out of you with shady deals with companies like ILD.

ILD Teleservices has placed charges on my bill - and I'm sure many others.  I have contacted them via email explaining that I have not authorized the charges and did not use the services they list.  We'll see. Verizon says they will not turn off phone if I don't pay, and I'm not going to, but I'm very frustrated that I've had unauthorized charges placed on my bill.  It's also frustrating because I always round up, then set up automatic payment from my bank account - now all of a sudden I look like I'm delinquent in payment.
    Any other opinions?
    My charges were listed as:
US Credit Find-Credit REpair Mnthly Fee - what the heck is that - $9.99
Fone Right Voicemail Mnthly Fee - $14.95
Personally, if I have to keep checking my bill every month for these random things, I'm going to remove the landline.  It's not like there aren't options out there these days.

No worries, Sharley. The kitty didn't manage to get the link clicked, and it wouldn't have been a problem if he/she had.

Because a law in the USA requires website operators to obtain parental permission before collecting any personal information from a child under 13, and many have simply chosen not to allow them to sign up.

The only problem I've got is that when the board is brought out of S3 standby using the MS Media Centre remote, it stops working - its like the USB ports aren't being re-initialised properly, The only way to get the remote working again is to unplug it and re-insert it.

  • Spreadsheet functionality: Output is always crammed in 1 page.

    Hi!
Whenever i do spreadsheet outputs in Reports, i get the proper Excel spreadsheet alright. I'm able to edit away, move around in cells, etc. But when its printout time, all the data is crammed inside 1 page when its supposed to span multiple pages.
I know Oracle's spreadsheet output is not paginated (i.e no page setup info is saved in output), but is there a work around to this "issue", short of copying the data and pasting it in another work sheet?

Hi, this problem has been resolved.
Apparently, the PAGE SETUP > SCALING defaults to "fit to 1 page", which is why my reports always run on 1 page regardless of the data.
The easy solution is just clicking on the Adjust to 100% size radio box.

  • Ild error when upgrading from WorkShop 6.1 to 6.2

I'm trying to use WorkShop 6 update 2 to compile and link.
    The options are "-compat=5 -O -instances=static -features=bool -g -xs -O0 -library=iostream,rwtools7 -liostream -mt -lCstd -lCrun -lthread -lc ...".
But link editor reports errors (seems multiply-defined):
ild: (error) NamedHookApplicationBase::__vtbl is defined in files NamedHooks.o and MessageHookEntryFilter.o
ild: (error) __RTTI__1nYNamedHookApplicationBase_ is defined in files NamedHooks.o and MessageHookEntryFilter.o
ild: (error) __RTTI__1CpnYNamedHookApplicationBase_ is defined in files NamedHooks.o and MessageHookEntryFilter.o
Previously, I used 6.1 to do the same thing, free of any error. :(
And I could not find any more about that thourgh 6.2 Release Notes.
    Did I miss any thing?
    Thanks so much!

    Well, it's strange.
I removed "-instances=static" from compilation to test. And this time, no such error was raised any more.
In my opinion, the very characteristic of static instances linkage is that all the instances are placed under the current compilation (and are not visible outside the compilation unit), which might increase the size of the program.
But one more problem about "-lcx" occurred when I compile and link another set of C++ source files:
    The error messages are:
    Text relocation remains referenced

ld: fatal: relocations remain against allocatable but non-writable sections
    The compile command is
CC -compat=5 -g -xs -library=iostream -mt -features=no%conststrings ... -lCstd -lCrun -lm -lw -lcx -lc
Still like the "ild error" we've been discussed, this kind of errors were not reported when I use lower version compiler 6.1.
What puzzles me is that there is no "-B" option in the compilation cmd. But it seems that ld tried to link "libcx.a" but "libcx.so", even "libcx.so.1" does exist under the same directory. Then I ran an experiment, I manally put "-Bdynamic" before "-lcx", the error messages remain. :(
I didn't get much result after search "-lcx" from internet. Do you know why this happens?
    Thanks,

  • What's with the ILD charge?

I have found countless links about this ILD company slipping charges on to Verizon phone bills without people actually asking for this service (whatever it is).  Their website makes it look like a merchant type service while the charge on my bill eludes to a "Fone Right Voicemail Mthly Fee".  This is a joke!  Why would Verizon allow such a thing to take place is beyond me.  Apparently, ILD does have legitimate contracts with the telephone companies to allow their services but sticking them on there through tricky backdoor means should never been allowed by Verizon.  Of course, maybe they don't care about losing a customer who has to deal with this but I can't imagine them losing customers who pay well over a $1,000 a year in services simply to allow this company to start charging ($14.95) at will for unnecessary, unasked for services.
Please tell me there is hope to have this removed without having to drop my services altogether and switch to a cable provider.
Has anyone out there had this similar issue and any help from Verizon or is it time to switch away from a company that allows this to happen?
    UpsetConsumer

    PC7812,
I couldn't agree with you more about your sentiments/statements.  It's crazy to see this stuff take place when it should be obvious that protective mechanisms should be in place for the consumer.  I guess we're witnesses to the shaddy background deals that take place so that the big guy can make an extra buck.
Well, I have some good news to my initial post.
I contacted ILD services (who deny any immediate responsibility for the service being assigned to me) they kindly forwarded my email to Fone Right.
I contacted Fone Right and they have kindly agreed to refund two months of this service but it will take several billing months to do so.  I will follow up if this actually occurs.  Their reasons for why this charge occurred were erroneous and they could not substantiate who or why the service was assigned to a phone that already had this service.  The person they referred to doesn't live in my home and I have never heard of them.
Moreover, I have addressed the real issue for my inconvience.  I terminated my service with Verizon and have switched to Comcast triple for ALL of my services.  I now have an internet connection speed that approaches 20Mps and have High Def TV to boot and all for less than what I would have paid with Verizon.  Comcast has never allowed such "Add on charges" for other services not related to comcast.
Cheerfully, UpsetConsumer  (not so upset anymore)

  • Inbox for ebay messages are crammed together.

inbox for ebay messages shows messages crammed together (not double spaced, but half spaced). Is not this way using Explorer.
On my ebay messages page, the messages are listed vertically line by line. But rather than being single spaced or double spaced vertically the messages are crammed together and very hard to read. I don't have this problem with Explorer. but I prefer to search with Firefox. Can you fix my problem?????????????????

    Hi,
Firefox and other browsers can only display the emails. All the content, emails, settings etc. are stored at and received from the remote site/server. If an add-on is being used with Firefox, you can try to check its '''Options''' in '''Tools '''('''Alt '''+ '''T''') > '''Addons''' > '''Extensions'''. Otherwise you may have to check the mail archives in Gmail and Windows Live sites. You can also check the trash/deleted folders in the respective mail sites for any mails that may have been manually deleted within usually 30 days.

  • Playing CRAM Format

Does anyone know how to get the new QT with Leopard to play .avi with CRAM format. I know it is old, but I have files I need to be able to play from old screen vid capture software. I have tried Perian with no luck.
Any player or CODEC for QT that can play would be fine. VLC does not work either. Thank you for any help.

Believe CRAM is the fourCC for Microsoft Video 1 and is supposedly identical to the MSVC fourCC (also Microsoft Video 1). You may need to find an old Windows '95 or '98 system for playback. (Don't use such myself.)

What version are you looking at? In R12, the contact center allows pulling up an employee record and then you can log a service request.
In 11.5.10, you can use service request form or HTML Service pages to create service request for HR Help desk requests.
You can use Zoom functionality to navigate to appropriate HR forms from SR form.

Good reason to use a real editor.
You're right, that does sound odd.  Was the file created in Geany, or just opened that way?
... wait, here's what's going on.  Geany opened a file with Unix line endings.  It displayed correctly because Geany isn't stupid like Notepad, but Geany didn't convert the line endings when you closed the file because you didn't tell it to.  But Vim modelines take effect as if you had typed them in after opening the file.  So Vim detected that the file had Unix line endings, and opened it with fileformat=unix.  Then the modeline set fileformat=dos.  When you hit :w, Vim saved it with DOS line endings.
The moral of the story?  Don't use modelines, and if you do, don't use them to set the file format.  (Vim detects that automatically.)

  • CRAM Codec & Premiere CS3

I'm doing some simple editing in Premiere CS3.  My pre-recorded videos play fine in Windows Media Player, but export jerky and vibrating after editing them.
After doing some research I found out that my pre-recorded videos us the CRAM (Microsoft Video 1) codec.  The program G-spot tells me that I do not have this codec installed.
If I install this codec will my videos export properly?, or should I be converting them before editing (is this possible?). My worry is that if installing the codec solves the issue, after burning to dvd will others who play the dvd experience issues?
I'm pretty new to this so very basic instructions are best lol.
    Thanks guys.

    Welcome to the forum.
Have to admit that I have not heard of the CRAM CODEC.
Now, the installation of some CODEC's will allow PrPro to Import, edit and Export - though not all. The first two operations in that list are usually the "weak sisters." Installation might help you with Export.
Now, before you do that, is a DVD-Video your ultimate goal? If so, do NOT Export in any CODEC, but either DV-AVI Type II w/ 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV Audio (or DD AC3 for DD 5.1 SS), or fully DVD-compliant MPEG-2.
One can Export in either of these (I choose DV-AVI elemental stream, and AC3 DD 5.1 SS elemental stream), and then Import the Video into Encore as a Timeline and the Audio as an Asset. Drag the Audio to the appropriate Timeline and author to DVD-Video in Encore.
If you know what you're doing, you can use bit-budgeting to calculate your MPEG-2 compression, Export that, and then Import it into Encore. Make sure that all settings are 100% DVD-compliant.
Now, back to your quality problem:
The source files are using CRAM, but you do not have it. Installing it might improve the quality, or it might not. What are the settings that you have used on Export, where you got the bad results?
    Good luck,
    Hunt
