ILearning release 5 in Oracle10gAS 10.1.2.0.2 Platform

Hi,
I wanted to know if anyone installed iLearning release 5 in Oracle10gAS 10.1.2.0.2 Platform successfully in OS RedHat Linux.
I didn't see any Oracle certification for this combination

Oracle iLearning 5.0 is not yet certified on 10.1.2 of iAS. Currently, it is only certified on iAS 9.0.4
We have plans to certify on 10.1.2 but not ETA yet.

Oracle 10G support and 12C release

Hi,
I am interested in new about Oracle 12C ---Cloud compute DB system. we have 10G database
When 12C will be released ?
When oracle10G will not supported by oracle
As I know 10G released in 2004 and 10gR2 in 2006. Normally speaking, 10G support will be terminated next year (after released 5 years).
Any updated for this event?

Premier support has already ended on Oracle 10gR2 last july.
Ie, no new bugs will be fixed.

XINS 1.5.0 has been released. XINS is an open-source Web Services framework.

Where SERVICE_CONFIG_PATH is the absolute path of the services config file.
I didn't see anything like this in your ant task.

Oracle9iAS Portal Patch Release 3.0.9.8.3 For Solaris is now available for download from metalink. Bugnumber for the patch release is 2131815.
You must install this patch release over an Oracle9iAS 1.0.2.2 installation of Oracle9iAS Portal. You can install it over either a production installation (3.0.9.8.0) or a patched installation (3.0.9.8.1, 3.0.9.8.2). This patch release is cumulative and it incorporates the changes from the earlier patches (3.0.9.8.1, 3.0.9.8.2). The installation instructions are in README.TXT and RELNOTES.HTM contained in the patch release.
The patch will be available for other platforms by the end of May.

I saw this warning in the content area API home page.
Warning - The Content Area APIs available in 3.0.8.x and 3.0.9.x will not work with Oracle9iAS Portal 9.0.2. They are not available with this release
Will there be other API's?
Are you removing the concept of loading an item through APIs?

When i try to download the new OWB Release 2 (10.2.0.1) for the windows platform i get 404-Error.

It looks like the folks in charge of that neglected to publish the updated notes. I checked it myself two different ways and found the same thing.
If you have a unit under Smartnet support, you could open a case and request the latest release notes.

Persist document in BLOB column problem

Hi all,
I'm having problem with persisting document in BLOB column.
Using debuger I checked that document.doc contains correctly uploaded file before persist. There are other attributes of document and they are persisted correctly, but when I check blob size in database it size is 1byte which is incorrect.
After I persist second file, first one get his correct size value, and size of second one is 1byte.
If I stop weblogic server, second value will never be populated. If I only restart application without restarting server, and then upload third document, size of second one will be corrected.

Apache HTTP missing on 10g

I have successfully installed Oracle 10g on Windows XP professional. Everything is great and simple and fast. The EM is a great tool, but my problem is that he HTTP Apache server is not installed and I can't create the DAD to view my application through the browser. I know it is there but how can I enable or run or install it. I installed the Companion CD and Apache was in stall, but don't know how to config it for that purpose. Any help please
And again how do I use the HTMLDB. From where do I run it as to start creating applications

You gave me a challenge so I installed Oracle HTTP (Apache actually) server. It was almost OK with some small bugs but I made it work. Below I give you detail description.
First of all as you wrote "I have tried the command give in the manual but it did not work, then I tried start opmnctl and it flashed an window and it disappeared". It is a command line utility and if something goes wrong it prints messages in the command window, finishes work and naturally closes the command prompt IF YOU STARTED IT BY DOUBLE CLICKING. In order to see the output you should open Command Window first and run it from there.
One note. Usually all Oracle products come in a good clean condition. I do not remember such dirty release as this Oracle10g staff.
Anyway, here are details.
I installed Oracle HTTP Server in a separate home (in my case it is H:\oraclehttp\OraHTTP_home1).
The directory structure created for it looks as I expected and described in one of the previous messages.
Installation created one Windows service:
OracleOraHTTP_home1ProcessManager
which starts automatically (I usually change this to manual afterwards).
I also checked the system path and find out that this installation put there some Java staff:
H:\oraclehttp\OraHTTP_home1\jre\1.4.2\bin
H:\oraclehttp\OraHTTP_home1\jre\1.4.2\bin\client
H:\oraclehttp\OraHTTP_home1\jre\1.1.8\bin
because I have the newer Java JDK (1.4.2_04) I eliminated them.
Various directories with executables are NOT on the system path so in order to start them I open the Windows Command prompt, navigate into required bin directory and run the required command.
Because after installation we have this Oracle HTTP server up and running I executed the next command
H:\oraclehttp\OraHTTP_home1\opmn\bin>opmnctl status
and got the first surprise:
opmnctl status is not supported without
executable H:\oraclehttp\OraHTTP_home1\jdk\bin\java.exe
There is no such directory jdk in the HTTP home.
According to the name it should contain Java runtime. So I created it and copied there everything from the existing Java runtime directory jre. After this I executed the same command again and got the next response:

What's new in Font Folio 11.1?

Looks like Font Folio 11.1 released today, per http://adobe.com/products/fontfolio.
Can anyone tell us what is new in the past 5 years? I had hoped for some better glyph coverage in fonts like Utopia, but I don't see any evidence of that in the documentation, but I'm still hopeful?
The list of 80 additional fonts does not seem all that exciting for Western users, but perhaps much more so for users of other Arabic, Hebrew, Devanagari, etc.

So can I assume FF11.1 will have Utopia 2.097? I can't really see anything in the above that looks like a user-visible change of significance...
On the other hand, FF11.1 upgrades seem to be extremely reasonably priced. List price of the upgrade is $29.95/seat (20-pack), so really that's chump-change. So I suppose I can't really go wrong. But it's hard to get excited about, especially when I already have Adobe Text and Hypatia Pro from giveaway incentives (though I guess having them in FF clarifies some potentially thorny licensing questions...)

Can I create a document library in my Bc site?

Hi, I need a place to store client documents (PDF format - on the server, not on a forward facing web page) so that I can grant login/ access for a select few people (owners & employees of the website) to be able to login and view these documents from the Bc dashboard. Is this possible? If so, how do I do this?

It is true that the .NET platform is doing away with DLLs and actually, it's doing away with tradition ActiveX also. It will be based on objects called Assemblies.
If you have an actual ActiveX component, you can call this from both LabVIEW 6.1 and VB6. However, if the object that you have built was built in the .NET environment, then it is an Assembly object. And, since this technology was released after both VB6 and LabVIEW 6.1, neither platforms support .NET controls yet. VB6 will most likely never support Assemblies, although I assume LabVIEW will as future versions are released.

Why do I get 'ResolveManifestFiles task failed' error when building a WPF app that references WinRT API?

I am working on a WPF app that I want to create for Windows 8. I followed steps mentioned in
Hansleman's blog to make some manual modifications using WinRT functions in a WPF app. Everything worked well, until I tried to publish the app. When I clicked on publishing the app I got error "The 'ResolveManifestFiles' task failed unexpectedly.
System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range."
Afterwards, it will produce the same error when attempting a simple solution build.
Even if you create a simple WPF project and add the references mentioned in blog to access WinRT functions and publish, this issue can be reproduced.
I think it would be common scenario to call WinRT functions from WPF and someone should have done it. Is anyone aware what should be done to fix this issue?

I am having the same problems and came across this article while researching a workaround.
It is surprising more people aren’t talking about this.
Here are the steps to reproduce the problem; Using Visual Studio Express 2012 (x64) create a new VB Windows Forms Application.
Unload the project and edit the [ProjName].vbproj in the solution explorer.
Add <TargetPlatformVersion>8.0</TargetPlatformVersion> to the <PropertyGroup>.
Save and reload the project. In Add Resource/Reference Manager add the Windows.minmd found under Windows/Core.
This WinRT/Desktop solution will run as expected. Now try to Publish this solution.
It will FAIL with the following ERROR; “The ResolveManifestFiles task failed unexpectedly, Value does not fall within the expected range.”
Attempting to build or run the solution again now will fail with the same Error.
The only way to build the project now is to remove the “Enable ClickOnce security settings” option under the project properties Security settings.
Occasionally using this trick, the solution will build but not run.
When that happens jiggle around with Debug/Release Solution Configurations and the Any CPU/x64 Solution Platforms then rebuild and try the run again.
This fussing around will get you through development however any attempt to publish with restore the ClickOnce security setting and create the previous Error.
The first question here is how do you publish a WinRT app for the desktop with VS2012 Express.
Then secondly, if that is not possible can we publish this Express solution with a 3rd party deployment tool like InstallShield Limited Edition or the WIX Toolset.
Neither however seems functional in a VS Express environment.
Then thirdly, are there ways to access hardware sensor devices from a desktop solution without resorting to the WinRT API.
Any ideas or new research directions would be greatly appreciated.

How are you being forced to purchase a ney key every year? Keys should only need to be re-purchased after a major upgrade—e.g., the change from QT 6 to QT 7 on a Mac. Since QT 7 was released in 2005 for both the Mac and Windows platforms, your QT 7 key should have been valid for a max of about 8 years thus far. The only problem I know of is the fact that Apple no longer maintains a continuous history of QT 7 key purchases which has been forcing users who do not maintain a copy of their key and user ID on hand for things like drive/system failures and/or accidental deletions to purchase a replacement rather than simply re-keying their QT 7 app with their old key. I keep all of my old keys stored on thee separate USB drives, two RAID units, and one external hard drive in case I lose any or all of my startup volumes.
