ILife '11 can not hear the music that is added
With the iLife'11 I add music from iTunes, I see the green bar but can not hear the music. Worked for years with iMovie and never had this problem. Please help us. This is a major problem..!!
Wwell, maybe it is just me. I have been using and have bought 7 Apple devices just over the past 3-5 years. Having supported, programmed, configured and taught college level courses for MS based and super computer hardware and software configurations for almost 20 years I am apparently ignorant of differential operations. Previously I had 5 choices on any hardware or software when playing anything like music, video, DVDs or anything similar. I had 'Play' 'Fast Forward' 'Fast Rewind' 'Pause' a n d 'STOP'. Perhaps Apple has found the STOP unnecessary but I thoro enjoyed knowing whatever I was playing had STOPped and could not continue unless I chose to go back to the program or equipment and chose any of the 5 choices except STOP again since I could not STOP a STOP. As I said perhaps I need to reconsider my choices and obvious ignorance. Thanks for all the help.

I have asked this over and over all over the internet and no one has an answer. I enjoy my music for a while but when it is time to STOP THE MUSIC I have found but one way - Turn off or power down the device. This is so annoying I have stopped playing and stopped purchasing any and all music of any type. If I can not find a way to do so I will remove all music from my devices until I may hear of how to STOP THE MUSIC. I have seen it is done on Android devices but no Apple devices. I can't hear the music on my IPOD 60Gig 5th generation and can not see my videos
I can not hear the music, I can not see the videos on my IPOD 5th generation. I have restored it to the original settings and it still does not work.
That's likely an indication or one or more hardware failures of the iPod. You'll want to get the iPod serviced in order to gain full functionality of it again or start saving for a new iPod.

I lost my iTunes library on my pc when the hard drive crashed. None of the data on the drive was recoverable and I did not have a backup either locally or on the cloud. Much of the music is from old vinyl and podcasts which are no longer available.
How can I get the music that resides on my ipod nano (4th generation) back onto the new hard drive on my pc.
I have been reluctant to install iTunes on the new hard drive out of fear that I will lose all the contents on the ipod if I try to synch to the new hard drive.
Help!No backup is a huge mistake.

The volume on my iPad 3 has gone. I've checked the mute button, tried restarting, resetting etc and nothing has changed. I can't hear the music, hear any sound from videos. Most times the video stops playing after a seconds. My iPad 3 is only 2 months ol.
If you have lost all sound and video is freezing on you, that ain't good. Your iPad is two months old so I would not hesitate to contact Apple at all. You are entitled to 90 days of phone support.

If you want to try a couple of things on your own, try quitting all apps and then reboot the iPad - not so much for the sound issue itself - but more as a general "start all over again" sort of approach. It might help with the video freezes.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you use headphones on occasion, you can try plugging and unplugging those as well and see if the sound comes back.
You could even try restoring the iPad to factory settings and then restore from a backup, but unless there is something totally hosed on the iPad, that should not be necessary with a two month old device - of course assuming that you didn't drop the iPad or do something accidental that could be causing the problems. -
So i got my iphone 6 and the music works fine with the bluetooth on my lexus until i plug it in to the USB charger. Then you can't hear the music. When i have it unplugged the music plays fine through the speakers.
When i get in the car, if the audio is set on bluetooth the music will start playing automatically without me doing anything even if i don't have the music (itunes) running.Hi . all of a sudden my iphone stopped charging and you can't hear the music through my ihome iH150 when I connect it to the dock, what can I do to fix the ihome? The ihome does turn on and I already checked for dock possible problems and I don't see anything wrong.
I also have to add that the right earbud only doesn't work on my phone while i'm listening to music. If I'm face timing it's okay. what the heck.

From my Ipad, when I am in Facebook, I can not hear the videos posted to my FB page...Sounds works on all other apps just not my videos on my FB page.
Homesharing has issues that have not been fixed over several versions of itunes and ios.
Only kind of fix is go back through your library and retag it. -

How can I restore the music that was on my iPod to my computer or another iPod?
My iPod classic has failed with an HDD error. I've tried recover mode and everything, it's goosed. Half my music was only on the iPod, a collection over the years from my various computers, it was backed up using itunes however. How can i restore the music that was on my iPod to my computer or another iPod? (dont have another classic, only shuffle and iphone) I'm guessing itunes holds some kind of virtual image of the ipod classic somewhere. That is stealing. Your friend does not have the right to give her music away. Delete them and purchase your own music.

when i call someone i can not hear the phone ring or the people talking. They can not hear me either. what i do notice if i select speaker then i can hear them through the speaker phone only
If there's an Apple store nearby make an appointment with the genius bar to have it checked. Be sure to sync it and back it up, as well as import your photos and videos to your computer and back up your contacts separately (such as by sync them with iCloud) in case it needs to be replaced.
