Ilife 11, i cant see my idvd or iweb in the software dvd i just bought

hey guys, i just got a brand new ilfe 11 software dvd but it only shows me that it contains imovie, iphoto, and garageband. I boutgh it because wanted to install idvd and iweb which did not come with my all in one desktop imac. but on the box, it says that it has idvd and iweb as a feature. Is there anything special that i must do to be able to see idvd and iweb when i load the cd into the disk drive, becasue as of now, all i see is the three that i already have which i dont want.

just want to say that u r right, so far things seem to be working out just as u stated.
i do want to point out that when i got to the customise installation page, garageband, imovie, and iphoto
where unselectable. I am guessing that its because they are already installed on the computer. l selected idvd and iweb and then proceeded to the next phase.

Congrats on your new Z10! I know having the right features is important. The Z10 uses Blackberry link software. The device uses the mobile hotspot feature to non-cord tether the device. The mobile hotspot feature is an additional cost. You can add this feature online http://vz.to/1di2TlT .

Anyone having problems seeing (any) content in movies since the software upgrade

After performing the software upgrade no longer pulling any content in to the movie channel and even though I can still see "top movies" on the home page when I click through the second page doesn't load. Internet connection seems fine and trailers are loading and streaming fine, is it just me?

I'm having the same problem. I called Apple and they gave me three options. One was pay a $19.95 fee for this one time fix & they could help me or go to itunes or apple's tech websites! Wow Apple isn't what it use to be. Also the lady I spoke with was rude. We're an Apple lover but not sure for how long!

Cant see some mail.. something about the email wasnt downloaded.. help..

Couple times a day, I get this message:
The message from "amber ruiz" <[email protected]> concerning “Customer Contact: Website Time-Out” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
Not that exact message mind you, as its for different emails from different people. The only way to see the email is to restart mail. Then I can see it just fine. Anybody know why this is happening?

When I open the folder "INBOX.mbox" I see two items. One is a file called "Info.plist" , and the other is a Folder named "Messages". With-in that folder named "Messages" is nothing,,, it is empty. Which bothers me because I HAD 5 messages in that accounts box that I was holding on to because they said that thing (about not being downloaded from server, etc..)...
BUT then like I said, I "Rebuilt" that accounts mailbox thinking that would help me, but with no warning alert or anything, it just seemed to clean up that box and the messages just disappeared in front of my eyes !!
But I thought for sure they would still be somewhere on my hard drive.....
Am I mistaken ?? And because there is no files in that folder named "Messages" does that mean I have absolutely NO messages from that account to dig up from anywhere ??

hello there peeps, i cant use the iphone that i bought from a local buy, swap and sell site. the phone was restored to factory setting and i used it for 4 months but after that a message appeared and said that this phone has been lost. i tried to restore it again but i need the previous owner's apple id and password.
i tried to contact him but i cannot reach him already, i tried reaching him on the sell site's page but still no response. i am pretty sure that the phone is not stolen coz i was present when he restore it to its factory setting. i just wanna ask you people what else can i do with it to be activated again, i paid $200 for this iphone 4 and dont just want it to go down to the drain. PLEASE HELP.. thank you

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

I cant redeem the itunes card i just bought, what do i do?

Below is some info i get about ports.
I tried to set DMZ on my main router to have full access to ported to access point upstair which is in the ip of 192.168.1.2 and the main router in the living room is the gateway router with the 192.168.1.1 ip.
I still cant see apple tv after i try the DMZ method.

Charge the iPod battery for at least 2 hours, there wont be any sign of life for the first 30 minutes of charging, so be patient, then the screen will display a charging sign and "do not disconnect" sign.
After charging till full charge, preferably 4 hours
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

Cant see mask when resizing in CS 6

I am trying to resize a mask in Photshop CS6 and everytime I try to scale it the mask disappears and I cant see what Im doing. Is there a setting that I need to change so that I can see it? Please see screenshots of what is happening when I try & resize.
I have the mask visible in the first screenshot. And the 2nd screenshot shows how it disappears when I try to resize.

The first screen shot shows the layers panel and image.
The 2nd shows the mask turned on and the layers panel.
If I try to scale the mask up it turns to white and I cant see it,
as I showed in the 2nd screen shot above.

I cant see bluetooth option while trying to transfer media files.

I have a Blackberry Torch 9810 with OS 7. I dont know what happened but all of a sudden I am unable to send files through bluetooth. I cant see any option of bluetooth in the send options menu.
I tried to deseclect port service in the bluetooth options and saved it. Againg selected port service and saved it. I also restarted my device while doing this. But still I am unable to send files via bluetooth.
Can some one help me please. Thank you.

Please restart the phone by removing and placing the battery back while the device is ON. This process fixes the application modules in it without losing any data stored. Let us know if you still experience the issue after this.

I just bought a new iPad2, and updated it to iOS 7, shouldn't I have gotten iLife free like they said in the keynote last week?

In the keynote last week at the iPhone event, they stated that all buyers of "new iOS devices" would be getting the option to download iLife for free? Why wasn't this the case when i just bought my iPad2 yesterday and put iOS7 on it? Is there a start date to this promotion that I didn't catch or what?

Buy old iDVD or something else for burning DVDs

Is it worthwhile to purchase an older version of iDVD? ( I bought a Mac without it in 2011). I have purchased other burning software with much frustration and no success.

IMO there's bi DVD video authoring application currently available that can compete with iDVD 7 for versatility and professional looking results. iDVD 7 will work with Mavericks.
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailier like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com. Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.
Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Roxio Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
