ILife06 Copy to PPC Computer

Can the iLife06 applications furnished with the MBP be used on a PPC computer?
MBP, G4 MDD, G3 Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Actually, no you don't. If you buy the boxed set of iLife than yes you can use it with any computer you want. If you get it with your MBP, then you are licensed to use it with the MBP not another computer. Similary if you buy Mac OS X, then you can use it with any computer. The Mac OS X disks from the MBP can't be used for other computers.
yes i own the license to use it. so i should be able
to use it on any computer i want. because im still
the only one using it. im not giving it to anyone
else. that was my point. if i will be using it
myself it shouldnt matter which comp its on. but
they dont want it to work like that and thats on
them.
who says i cant do whatever i want with the car i own
LOL. if you want to use this for me to make a point
i would say the license is for me to drive the car. i
can drive it BUT i cant lend my license to someone
else to drive HAHA

There really is nothing more to say than what Allan has already said, but to explain just a little further, what you may have read is that once you purchase an iOS app in the app store, you do not have to purchase it again if you need to download it to another iOS device. In other words once you buy the app, you can load it onto unlimited iPhones, iPod Touches or iPads.
You must be using the same iTunes account that you originally purchased the app with in order to download it again. But as Allan said, just because you have it on your Mac does not entitle you to download it free to your iPad.

  • "The file 'x' could not be copied because this computer is not authorized."

I am trying to get an app (VSCO Cam) from my sister's iTunes library. We are logged onto the same home share network, and I can open her library just fine, but when I click the app and click "Import", a box shows up and says, "The file "VSCO CAM could not be copied because this computer is not authorized." I'm not sure wat computer it's talking about, buton both computers we've got up to the "Store" button, clicked "Authorize this computer", and we've entered OUR OWN Apple ID's. Now, the one we use for homesharing is different, and we both have our own apple ID's, which I put in my own, and she put in her own when asked to authorize our computers. Should we be putting in the ID we use when we homeshare when asked to authorize? Or will that change everything about our iTunes libraries.
I can import a song just rom her library just fine, it's only when I try to do the app/.

  • How to change the path of sysprep files that were copied to reference computer when i capture the image from reference.

    Dears ,,
how to change the path that sysprep were copied to reference computer when i capture the image from reference.
Should i modify some codes in LTIAPPLY.wsf? how to modify it?
    Thanks.

Sysprep and capture has *Three* steps.
    1. Run sysprep on the local machine (easy).
    2. Copy WinPE down to the local machine so we can reboot into winpe for capture.
    3. Capture the drive in an *offline* state from within WinPE.
What is most likely happening is that you are having problems with step #2. 100MB is *WAY* too small to copy down WinPE. By default MDT will make this System partition much bigger, 499MB. IF you install Windows 7 from the default media. IT will only create
    a 100MB partition.
By default MDT 2012 Update 1 and greater *should* recover to a fallback drive with the OS on it, however if you are running older versions that might not happen correctly.
If you are still having problems, copy your BDD.log file to a public share like OneDrive and copy the link here.

  • Does iTunes Match back up all of my music to the cloud so it can be downloaded on any computer regardless if there is a hard copy on the computer?

So I need to restore my computer soon.
With iTunes match I know it backs my library up to the cloud, but do I need the original copy on a computer to access my library?
So if I have iTunes match, then I restore my computer to a factory image, would I be able to re-download all of my music from iCloud back onto my computer even if the music wasn't purchased in iTunes?
    All answers are appreciated, thanks.

    Hi,
You do not need to have original on you computer when you redownload your music from the cloud.
However, it is essential that you back up all your music to an external hard drive should you need to recover any original track.

  • Copying pictures to computer I am seeing multiple "LOCAL DISK" icons

Copying pictures to computer I am seeing multiple "LOCAL DISK" icons in DCIM subfolder that were not there prior to ios8 upgrade. Are they supposed to be there or is it possible virus?

    edit: nevermind - problem solved.
To the OP - It's not a virus, it appears to be a new way Apple has updated it's photos section that summarizes certain elements of each photo.  I found that if you scroll down, you'll find your pictures (if that's what you were looking for).
I also found that you can still "right mouse click" the iPhone icon in My Computer and "import pictures and videos" with no issue.

  • Please help - how to copy DVD to computer so that it will play on computer

I apologize if this is the wrong forum, but I am stuck. I have a DVD of my son-in-law's memorial service that I need to copy onto my computer in a playable form. The DVD itself works great on both the TV, and on the computer (playing with iDVD on the latter). However, I simply do not know how to copy the contents of the DVD to my hard drive so that it will play directly from the drive, and so that I can place the video file in my .Mac public folder for relatives to download. When I open (not play) the DVD, I see two folders: AUDIO_TS which is empty, and VIDEO_TS, which contains files. I have copied these to my hard drive, and I have also made a disk image of the DVD on my drive. However, neither of these gives me a file on which I can click and get it to play. (If I insert the DVD itself into the computer, iDVD launches and the movie plays). Please help. Thank you!

All your media should be in your library, and backed up too. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • How do I delete photos on iPad that were copied from a computer?

How do I delete photos on iPad that were copied from another computer or SD card?

If they were synced from a computer then you can't delete them directly in the Photos app on your iPad, you will have to connect your iPad to your computer and use the iPad's Photos tab in your computer's iTunes to change your photo sync selection to exclude them
If the photos were copied onto the iPad from an SD card via the camera connection kit then you should be able to delete them in the Photos app e.g. via the Select button top right if viewing the photos in thumbnail view in Photos.

  • Copy dvd onto computer

I have a DVD of home movies that I want to copy to my computer. How do I accomplish this? Then how do I copy the copy back onto another DVD?

        1.    Insert the DVD into your Macintosh (quit the dvd player when it launches)
        2.    Open Disk Utility (application) Application>Utilities
        3.    Select the DVD on the left (select the DVD not the DVD drive)
        4.    Click on "New Image" on the Disk Utility window
        5.    Choose a name and a destination from the "Save As.." window
        6.    Select image format as "DVD/CD Master" and encryption to "none"
        7.    Eject the original DVD from your Macintosh, Insert a writable DVD disk into your Macintosh, Select the newly made disk image from the side and then "Burn"
That's how you would copy the DVD.

Tick Sync photos and select the albums or folders you want on the iPod.

  • Copy to this computer: Queued - How to get it to "actually copy"?

I have two copies of ARD, one at home and one at the office. I was able to copy a file from a client at the office to the desktop of the ARD computer using drag and drop, but when I try to drag it to my ARD computer desktop at home, I see a "Copy to this computer: Queued" message, but it never actually copies over to the computer at home. The 3283 and 5900 ports are open and set and functional.
Furthermore, if I just try to drag a file from the home ARD to the office ARD, I get a dialog box that just says 'Queued'.
We are talking about 4k files that should take mere seconds.
How do I actually copy these files?
    Thanks.

A common problem, but no fix-all response. Unless this is something you need to do often, you might just find a way around it, such as emailing the files, or, if they are text files, open on the source Mac, select all, copy, click the appropriate clipboard copy direction button, and paste it into a new document. For larger files, not so good, but for 4k, should be a piece of cake.
As firewalls get tougher, those sorts of tricks get less and less reliable. That being said, you might try turning off both computers' firewalls for testing to narrow down the possible cause(s).
    Good luck
