IllegalArgumentException while executing Model

Hi All,
     When i am executing the model in the Webdynpro, i am getting the following exception: <b> java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Attribute name 'ServiceId' not defined for model class 'GetParametersForUserLocationService' </b>
        But in the GetParametersForUserLocationService class i could see the ServiceId parameter. I tried executing the Webservice in WebServiceNavigator, and it is working fine. There also i could find the ServiceId Parameter.
        I recreated the model and rebuild project, but no use. Still i am getting the same exception.
Note: I am using AdaptiveWebServiceModel and Service Pack 12.
Can any body help me out.
Thanks in Advance,
VJR

Hi Friend,
I would suggest you to delete the model node if any created in the context and delete the model from the Development Component as well. Now, freshly import it and then get the portal restarted so that the existing portal cache which contains the earlier web-service structure is cleared.

    Hi Todd,
    Thanks a lot for your input!
    In the case , I found that "TO_CHAR(PLAN_DT, 'MM/DD/YYYY')" is alaised as a
    column name in the resultset. So I am using this as a column in Jato
    Descriptor for Plan_Dt. Now it is working fine.
    Thanks and Regards,

    I am experiencing a problem while executing a bounded model. I am usingQueryModelBase. Whenever the following query gets executed inonBeforeModel
    execute of TiledView, it throws an exception describing "PLAN_DT not found
    in ResultSet". If you execute this query on the SQL prompt then we getrows
    of data. Please could you tell us how the mapping between model and
    resultset works ? And what changes do we have to make to execute thisquery.
    >>
    SELECT PART_NM,NEWTXTDOLL
    TO_CHAR(PLAN_DT, 'MM/DD/YYYY'),
    FROM cpsselect
    WHERE CHG_DT >= TO_DATE('2001-06-17', 'YYYY-MM-DD')The mapping of result set to model is done via JDBC, using the columnnames
    you provide in your model's column descriptors. It sounds as if you are
    providing the column name "PLAN_DT" in a descriptor, and when the model
    tries to look up that column in the result set, there is no such columnand
    the operation fails.
    In order to debug this, you should try running your query with a JDBC
    connection, not SQL*Plus or your command-line SQL tool. What you need to
    find out is how the expresion "TO_CHAR(PLAN_DT, 'MM/DD/YYYY')" is aliasedas
    a column name in the resut set. The easiest way to do this is to write a
    simple class that does nothing but use your JDBC driver to connect the
    database and execute this query. After execution, use theResultSetMetaData
    information to find out the column names for the result set. Then, use
    these column names in your JATO column descriptors.
    Another Problem:We are not getting the values for NEWTXTDOLL column whenwe try to display it in a Tiled View.
    I'm sorry, this isn't enough information for me to offer any suggestions.
    Using the technique above, determine which columns are coming back in the
    result set, and make sure your display fields in the TiledView are boundto
    those column names. The problem could be something as simple as a typo in
    the field's bound name, or something more complex like the column in the
    result set being named something you don't expect.
    Another approach might be to alias the columns yourself using the "AS
    <alias>" expression, and assign them names that you choose instead ofusing
    the names assigned by the database or JDBC driver.

  • IllegalArgumentException while executing Web Service

    hi all
    For a project, i made a group of RFCs as a Web Service and used it as Adaptive Web Service with the metadata and execution destination, and configured these destinations in Visual Administrator. Everything is working fine till now.
    Now all the developments related to this project; ABAP codes transport, web service transport and Web Dynpro code have been deployed on the testing server. I configured the metadata and execution destination in the new server, but now when i execute the web service, i get an exception saying
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException:
    Cannot perform write operation 'setRelatedModelObject' on target role:
    Class 'ZcfcCommentsSearch' is not compatible to
    class 'ZcfcCommentsCreate' of
    target role 'ZcfcCommentsSearch' in
    model class 'Request_ZcfcCommentsSearch'
    after looking around web service of development server, testing server, and model of web service generated in web dynpro java; I figured out that the sequence of rfcs (wsdl:operation) and input/output structure (wsdl:message) in the WSDL of web service of development and testing server is different; the model generated in the web dynpro uses the position to fill the data in the web service.
    Since the sequence is different in the web service (wsdl) of testing and development server are not same, web dynpro is giving the above mentioned exception, whenever i try to execute the web service.
    how can i make sure, whatever the backend is, the web dynpro is able to successfully execute the web service.
    Thanks & Regards
    Vivek
    PS: I am also posting this same problem in ABAP forum because I fill, one way of solving this problem is by transporting the web service in such a way that the sequence of rfc is not changed.

    i hope you have resolved the question.
    However there is the note on metalink
    "Bytes are too big for array" Error When Inserting Data To A File In ODI [ID 554792.1]
    in which you can read
    Solution
    Run the select SQL startement that extracts data directly on the database and examine the data returned to make sure the data is valid and correct.
    Check source and target Datastores in both environments to make sure the columns' size and datatype are the same and the target File Datastore's columns size are big enough for the source data.
    In Topology, check the File JDBC Driver name and URL in both environments to make sure driver used is the same and the driver property ENCODING is set to the correct value if it is used. The default encoding value is ISO8859_1 which might not be appropriate if the source data is stored in
    a UTF8 database.
    Check the Locale values and Encodings used on the different servers.
    For example, for Oracle, check the NLS_CHARACTERSET setting in both environments. Take a look at Note 453080.1 for an example on the Locale.
    Finally, the ODI File Driver has the following property that can be used to truncate the long data to fit the fields size of the File Datastore if needed:
    TRUNC_FIXED_STRINGS=TRUE|FALSE: Truncates the strings from the fixed files to the field size. Default value is FALSE.
    TRUNC_DEL_STRINGS=TRUE|FALSE: Truncates the strings from the delimited files to the field size. Default value is FALSE.
    For example, if your target file is delimited, you can try:
    jdbc:snps:dbfile&TRUNC_DEL_STRINGS=TRUE
    Basically you are mapping a source column longer than tarhet.

  • Error while executing VC 7.1 Model

    In my model i am submitting a input from FormView to a Webservice and displaying output in a table...But after clicking the Submit button getting a Error :
    "Error occurred while executing the service: Error while getting the connection : Column Item does not exist"
    Can anyone please tell me what the error is.

    Hi,
    First thing you need to do is check the log files for a more descriptive error message.
    You can find instructions [following this link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/f8/ebfe4ed55544e9bb1bf9dc8b3925f0/frameset.htm].

    Looks to me like you are trying to fire a navigation plug within WDDOMODIFYVIEW. According to the rules of the WD Phase Model this is not allowed.

  • Error while executing the rule session

    Hi, I am using Oracle Business Rules Engine 10.1.3.3.0.I am developing rules using XML Facts.I am using a complex type array schema and binding it to define XML facts.Earlier the depth of the schema is 1 and it worked fine,now our schema's depth is 2 and while binding this schema is also working fine.The sample structure of the present schema I am binding is
    <xsd:schema>
    <xsd:element name = 'ruleRepository' type = 'RuleRepositoryType'/>
    <xsd:complexType name='RuleRepositoryType'>
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element ='ruleFacts' type='RuleFactsType' minOccurs='0' maxOccurs='unbounded'/>
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:complexType name='RuleFactsType'>
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name='fact1' type='xsd:string'/>
    <xsd:element name='fact2' type='xsd:string'/>
    <xsd:element name='fact3' type='xsd:string'/>
    <xsd:element name='fact4' type='Fact4' minOccurs='0' maxOccurs='unbounded'/>
    <xsd:sequence/>
    </xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:complexType name='Fact4'>
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name='element1' type='xsd:string'/>
    <xsd:element name='element2' type='xsd:string'/>
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    </xsd:schema>
    Earlier I have binded the similar schema as above but without 'fact4'.It went well and the rules were executing fine.
    However when I am trying to bind a similar schema like the above one, its binding fine but when executing from the BPEL Process,its giving errors like,
    "Error Caching Decision Services metadata,fact3 is undefined in DM,line6,Column 12",
    Please note that I am using fact1 and fact2 only for defining the rules , I am niether using fact3 which is a simple type nor fact4 which is a complex type.
    I have asserted Package.RuleRepositoryType in the definitions of the rule author.I have tried with different combinations of assertions but no one worked.
    The above error(
    "Error Caching Decision Services metadata,fact3 is undefined in DM,line6,Column 12") is coming for the first run of the decision service only,in the next runs its giving another error,which is like

    I dont understand why I am getting two errors for the same BPEL Process.
    Kindly help me in this problem.I am stuck with this for about a week but could not get to the solution.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Venkat.

    Hi Venkat,
    Whenever you do schema changes, you need to go through the cycle of
    re-importing the XML schema in the rule repository, re-create the decision
    service partnerlink, re-deploy the decision service.
    I suspect you have maybe imported the entire XML fact type model (with fact3 and
    fact4) instead of just fact1 and fact2 (might want to check in rule author).
    So even if you don't use fact3 and fact4 in decision service, they are part of the rules
    datamodel.
    Regards,
    Ralf

  • Authorization error while executing IP function in Web

    Hi all,
    I have an application in WAD which has a planning sequence.
    The sequnece runs fine in Modeler.
    But while executing the sequence in WAD, it gives me an error that I am not authorized to run the sequence.
    Is there any specific authorization that I need here?
    Let me know.
    Thanks.
    Anand

    Well I think you do not have the follwoing auth objects added to your role
    S_RS_PLSE -->planning functions
    S_RS_PLSQ-->planning sequences

Only in Linux environment the below error occurred. It will be of great help if any one can suggest us on this.

  • Error while executing C MEX S-function 'sysgen', (mdlTerminate)

    Hi
    We are trying to use System generator with Vivado 2014.4. We are encountering the above problem, which is causing a segmentation violation and MATLAB crach, when a simulation in sysgen is finishing up.
    It seems like that there has been an equivalent problem before, in an older version of System Generator, which has been answered in AR#31095. Search results say that this AR was:
    Why do I receive "Error while executing C MEX S-function 'sysgen', (mdlTerminate). Unexpected unknown exception from MEX file" when I simulate my System Generator model? How do I set up my system environment properly? See (Xilinx Answer 31095).
    Unfortunately, the AR is missing in the xilinx site. What did this answer record say? Might be applicable to our case?

    That is because the bpel file contains the absolute path to the xsl file instead of the relative path.
    ora:doXSLTransformForDoc('file:/C:/JDeveloper/mywork/xsl/tranform_02.xsl' .....
    should be
    ora:doXSLTransformForDoc('xsl/tranform_02.xsl' .....
    As far as I know, this is a bug in JDeveloper for putting this information here. I've removed it using the source view only to find it there again.
