Illustrator 2014 crash on yosemite fresh install

Hi all,
I've a big big problem. After installing Yosemite Illustrator crashs and I can't start it.
I've done a fresh install of Yosemite, I've updated Jva to 8.5 I've uninstalled and the installed illustrator.
But none of this solution worked for me.
Can you help me?

Illustrator 2014 crashes

I updated to Illustrator cc 2014 - crashes upon opening... deleted old illustrator cc before trying new one. Have checked preferences, run disk utility, etc.

I found this fix on another thread and it has worked.. so glad I did it, give it a try.
Un-install Illustrator and all other Adobe Products that you have downloaded from the cloud.
Un-install Adobe Creative Cloud.
Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and find SLCache and delete it.
Go to: C:\ProgramData\Adobe and find SLStore and delete it.. you might have to 'show hidden folder' to see this one. (Go to Organize in any folder and hit Folder and search options, go to view, click Show hidden files and folder, apply, ok)
Restart.
Install Adobe CC.
Install Illustrator etc.
Restart.

Yosemite fresh install - an idea I am trying

I Upgraded Yosemite on my MBAIR mid 2013 and Al has worked. I did this as an early adopter the moment it appeared on the App Store.
HOwever ver it does seem slow and dropbox has Ben malfunctioning for three months despite copious support. Other things don't seem right either, like there is a an unfriendly ghost in the machine. So I google that a fresh install while not required may be desirable.
I Find that like all things tech mostly it works and sometimes it does not: other threads on here confirm this; extremes of experience good and bad.
I Have these same experiences. Including time machine backups that even a Genius cannot fix. You can imagine my reaction after al the exhortations to backup to/with time machine. Apparently one faulty folder meant the entire backup was lost.
I have too many tears and years of experience really still to use technology.
So the challenge is how to create a fresh install, to add all my setup, vast number of apps, test it and without resorting to time machine backups ( of which I have FOUR, two external disks and two NAS drives ) plus drop box and additional NAS drive sync (synology drives x 2 about 50 terabytes as one backs up the other) - imagine losing your NAS drive, regret drive two is not offsite, though in a different room)
I Am not convinced my dropbox is accurate nor my NAS sync: one reason for the fresh install.
SOlution I have "in play" is this and interested to hear guidance from experience:
UsB drive, erased with single write of zeroes, partitioned to journaled mac format. Partition about 650gb for MBAIR has 500gB SSD OEM.
Rstart MBAIR pressing command R , follow process choosing EXTERNAL drive to install Yosemite
and after overnight wait for the disk prep process zeroing, now at the point of having installed and asking for my applied. Do I give it or keep it 100% clean while I check the basic install works...... I elect for no sign in..... I want to know if the USB based system works and can reboot. Restarting... I altered password so I can tell which system I have booted from... 70 seconds to the password box....5 seconds from password to main screen...
SO now what? Install apps? So many. The ones I forget will plague me for days or weeks. Or transfer from time machine like its a new machine?

my first choice was to load mail.app enter my apple i.d., then system prefs icloud and tick the keychain box. There followed repetitive "certificates do not match - choose trust all, around 30 times over once for each email account (I have many). Also enter system password, note to self next time make system password blank for install process. Doing this now for the rest of the process. Yes I am sure (response to a prompt)
So, email has re-installed all (?) of my email accounts with settings (thanks to icloud methinks) saving a huge amount of time compared to past re-installs (thank you icloud) and downloaded 42,000 messages (nearly all imap so as to sync across devices) - I feel a degree of relief already and do not feel that terrible stress feeling when all I have is a backup and no original working system (which is of course still on the MBA's SSD).
When asked about time machine targets: ignore/cancel so as not to interfere with original MBA backups.
Next (concurrently in fact) install Chrome to get back all my bookmarks (thousands). I occasionally try Safari, but struggle because of my time investment in Chrome and it doesn't integrate, imports are not at all the same thing.)
So let's try a restart and compare the timings. ... this is without any apps being reinstalled (as opposed to browser)...

Skype crashing on a freshly installed windows 7

Hi,
I made a fresh install of Windows 7 after switching to an SSD a couple of hours ago, but I can't seem to get Skype to work, it freezes and gives me the "Skype has stopped working" dialog. I have updated to IE11 as suggested in one of the posts, I also removed Raptr as suggested in a fairly recent post (it installed itself along with my graphic drivers). Below is the exact error I am getting and I will also attach a DxDiag(in a .zip, seems txt files are not allowed as attachments here).

EDIT: Solved by deleting the Skype directory in Appdata/Roaming.

The Bootcamp/Windows installer silently installs BC drivers that support Apple Hardware (Keyboard, Wireless, Trackpad, etc...), but it may have failed.
Download appropriate drivers for your Mac year/model from Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems - Apple Support to a USB2 flash drive and run setup.exe from Bootcamp folder to install/repair drivers as described in Boot Camp: Install or repair Boot Camp drivers.

Illustrator CS3 crashes after Yosemite upgrade

I have just upgraded to Yosemite on my 2010 Mac book pro. Everything seems to be running ok, slightly slower but ok, the main issue I have is that Adobe Illustrator CS3 has stopped working. The rest of the Adobe creative suite works fine - Photoshop, Indesign etc but not illustrator. When I first launched the app after the upgrade I was asked to install a Java upgrade which I did, I then re-launched Illustrator, and it tried to update, but a message came up stating - could not connect to internet...no internet connection, the initialising window opened and looked like it was going to work but it froze and I had to force quit. Now it doesn't get passed the initialising window and just doesn't open. I have cleaned the font cache and I have started my Mac in safe mode, illustrator works in this mode, but when I start up again as normal it still doesn't work there. I have tried to find the preference file in users so I can delete it but I can't find this file and not really sure if this is what I need to do to get it working anyway! I have reinstalled the Java update but this has not helped. Sadly I don't have the installation discs so am unable to uninstall and then re-install the Adobe Suite. If anyone can give me help I would be very grateful! Just now I am very frustrated and wish I had never upgraded! Thanks in advance, and thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I also had problems with Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Yosemite. After the upgrade I installed Java for OS X 2014-001, as suggested by others. This seemed to work (sometimes) but when I opened Illustrator for the 2nd time it failed to open. Illustrator opened without crashing, but it did not show any menus, if I opened an .ai file the file did load and show on the screen, but I could not click on the window (unresponsive). Essentially this made Illustrator useless. I tried the following:
Re-installation
Install Java for OS X 2014-001
Cleaning font cache
Checking permissions
Installing other versions of Java (both JRE and JDK)
Nothing seemed to help. Until finally 15 minutes ago I found the solution by accident:
Open System Preferences > Java
Wait for the Java Control Panel to load
Open Adobe Illustrator (while keeping the Java Control Panel window open)
You can also make a launcher with AppleScript to automate the process:

How can I reinstall iPhoto? It's crashing after a fresh install of Leopard

I ran software update and did the 10.5.1 update. The disk utility finds no problems. Created a new account and iPhoto crashes there before it finishes launching. Everything else seems to be working. Is there anyway to just reinstall iPhoto from the Leopard DVD without redoing the whole install... that takes a very long time.

First try deleting the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder and try launching iPhoto again.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Every restored apps from 2.* crash after a fresh install of 3.1

I restored by iPod Touch 2g (16gb) with my newly purchased OS 3.1. I had previously synchronised my iPod that had 2.* firmware on it. I did not restored the profile, instead, I created a new one. It went well, I installed few apps and everything was fine. Then, I tried to sync my old applications, things started to go wrong.
Every each of them installed, but I can launch them. It show the slpash screen then it return to the main menu. How can I fix that?
*My OS 3.1 is not and will not be jailbroken, it is not the cause of the problem.
**Every of those apps are legally purchased, I never used any kind of hacks on the Mac I use to sync my iPod
*If I upgrade broken applications via the app store, they stay broken

Illustrator CC 2014 won't launch (Could not complete the requested operation) even after fresh install (3 times), anyone know how to solve? (Windows 8.1)

Hi guys, my Illustrator CC 2014 won't launch, getting an error message "Could not complete the requested operation", this is not a specific file issue I can't launch Illustrator stand alone. I've un-installed and re-installed about 3 times and contacted support but they haven't been able to solve as of yet. It's a relatively fresh install of windows 8.1 and no custom fonts have been added. I've tried deleting the preferences folders and launching and that has not had any effect. No idea what else I can do, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Forgot to mention I have also tried running Illustrator as administrator and that Illustrator was running perfectly fine on this computer since install (about 2 weeks) before this started happening.

Hi Jacob, I decided to completely remove the entire creative suite from my computer, ran the cleaning tool (although some errors showed in the log file) and it now works! Let's just pray it stays this way haha. Thanks for the suggestion.

Illustrator CC 2014 crashes on mac (yosemite) on launch

Illustrator launches fine. Latest version, fully up to date. Opening any previous documents or even placing and image and moving it causes a rainbow umbrella of doom and a immediate crash (with report).
This fault has persisted over the last 2 Adobe CC updates, Mavericks and Yosemite even from my own trial Adobe account to a fully paid account. Believe it or not this fault has also traversed systems (occurred on my old macbook too), it was actually a catalyst to buy a whole new computer. I have tried the following:
Trashing preferences
Disabling Verdana and Tahoma
Total reformat and fresh install of OSX and Adobe CC and Illustrator
NOT synced preferences
Support from Adobe tech who took over computer for hours to no results / got disconnected.
Logged into account from multiple IP's
No Plugins
No syned fonts
System:
iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011)
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
OSX 10.10
Illustrator 2014 release 18.1.0 (downloaded and installed on 21/10/2014)
I am paying for this software and I need it to work. Adobe support has yet to fully address my problem.

Please Help,
Illustrator launches fine. Latest version, fully up to date. Opening any previous documents or even placing and image and moving it causes a rainbow umbrella of doom and a immediate crash (with report).
This fault has persisted over the last 2 Adobe CC updates, Mavericks and Yosemite even from my own trial Adobe account to a fully paid account. Believe it or not this fault has also traversed systems (occurred on my old macbook too), it was actually a catalyst to buy a whole new computer. I have tried the following:
Trashing preferences
Disabling Verdana and Tahoma
Total reformat and fresh install of OSX and Adobe CC and Illustrator
NOT synced preferences
Support from Adobe tech who took over computer for hours to no results / got disconnected.
Logged into account from multiple IP's
No Plugins
No syned fonts
System:
iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011)
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
OSX 10.10
Illustrator 2014 release 18.1.0 (downloaded and installed on 21/10/2014)
I am paying for this software and I need it to work. Adobe support has yet to fully address my problem.

Then I moved to a different carpet plugin files that look like this and didn't worked.

I have no idea about the second part of your question but as for Java you need to install the Apple Java for OSX 2014-001. Look for it on the Apple site.

Fresh Install of Yosemite and still spinning beachballs...

Hey all, I've been having this spinning beachball issue for a long time now and it's really annoying. I just did a fresh install of Yosemite. My Mac Mini downloaded Yosemite from the Apple servers. I just turned on my Mac Mini to test it out and the spinning beachballs are back...
There must be a way I can fix this without erasing the whole drive and installing each app one at a time...
Could someone please help me?

Keeps crashing after Yosemite install - Need thoughts on what to do...

My 2013 Macbook Air keeps crashing after Yosemite install, time between crashes are more random than consistent and it can be anytginh from one hour to 6 hours between crashes. Enclosed the report below with the hope that someone has some tips on what to do here.... I've formatted the computer, reinstalled the OS and checked the drive for errors and I've found nothing so far.
Would be very grateful for any thoughts/tips on what to do here...

Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

Illustrator CC 2014 Crashes on Startup

Hi,
I recently updated to Illustrator CC 2014, along with other Adobe programs such as Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign etc. All other programs launch fine, but Illustrator always crashes when initialzing a plugin or loading the font library. I'm unsure if it's definitely linked because it's not always the same plugin being loaded when it crashes. However, I deleted the plugins folder and the program loaded correctly, but I obviously couldn't do anything inside the program.
I'm running Windows 8 64 bit, and the programs are all installed on a SSD. I've tried compatibility mode, running as administrator and reinstalling the program. If I can't fix this issue soon I'm just going to revert back to a previous version.
Anyone have any ideas?
